I can answer number 5. Battle and visitation rewards are most likely allowed on your units even if you don't have enough renown. This comes from the fact that some of those rewards can be found from event tiles (the sparkling squares on a map).

I have created a formula for finding out the necessary amount of copies of a weapon in order to forge it to a specific level. Here is the formula: 2^x=y The little arrow means to make x an exponent. The variable x represents what level you want to forge the weapon to. The variable y represents how many copies of the weapon you need to forge it to that level. It is the variable that this formula solves for. Hope this helps!
