So supposedly, you're not Asian? Well, there goes me thinking you were Asian based on your username. Well, does that mean you're European then? Your username kind of sounds European...

I can see where you're coming from, especially since people on SF have really heated debates and firm opinions. I hope your bad SF experiences haven't stopped you from stating your opinions everywhere else though, especially when it comes to the feelings of others (where having naivity in your views can help quite a lot in quite a few cases). I guess I just thought that from you sticking to the FE4 thread most of the time. It's good to hear that you're open to making new frien...

Weird question, but you're the kind of person that prefers games that don't require fast reflexes and quick thinking (like Pokemon and other RPGs) over ones that do require fast reflexes (like Mario and other platformers), right?

(posting this here to not derail your thread) Even with all the 3rd party requests, I still doubt we're going to get two or more DLC 3rd party characters (since Sakurai himself said introducing 3rd parties "nilly-willy" will make the series lose its focus), and I doubt they're going to make 3rd party DLC characters that'll bump up SSB4's rating to above E10+. Sakurai is practically going out of his way to keep Smash E10+ with the way the Barbara and Tharja trophies wer...

Don't worry. I plan on using all of my votes for Choose Your Legends 2 for Marth. I really hope he makes it in the top 2 males.

Hardin's still missing?! I can't believe I didn't notice that, especially with me liking him a lot during my very first playthrough of FE3 Book 1 (which was also my very first time playing an FE game) since I found him cool looking. Xane, I feel like with him technically being a manakete, they could implement him (but it would have to be as a dragon). They did something similar with Ninian being a manakete, right?
Perhaps I'll use that banner, but at the same time, I feel like if I were to use it, it would make my posts in page 55-56 of the Choose Your Legends thread to look more biased. You don't think my posts on those pages are too biased/unreasonable/heated, do you?
-
Thing is about Ninian, she actually does transform in-game. Whether you can actually DO that in game is another story, but the fact remains that she has a manakete dragon form. Xane on the other hand, discarded his dragonstone and because of that, can no longer do so, yet somehow is able to dopplegang. If he had a form to go off of, perhaps, but he doesn't
If anything, I think you worry too much. So long as you present your statements without a level of putting the other side down, you're fine. Thought that can be hard to do sometimes when making comparisons between characters. At the moment you seem to be okay though; particularly with your last sentence on there being 3 winners on each side, instead of 2.
-
Hmm... good point about Xane. Well, the only other thing I can think of is give him some sort of story related reason for him to have a dragonstone (like being transported to the Heroes realm with a dragon stone mysteriously on him). Barring that, they could make him an infantry sword user with high resistance or magic resisting skills, since in FE1 and FE3 Xane was able to use swords without transforming and FE3, 11, and 12 made him have high resistance while untransformed.
I'm glad you think those posts are okay. I've been really paranoid about my posts ever since Integrity gave me a warn for literally saying "If you don't like Shadow Dragon, fine. But you don't need to go posting in its VC release thread only to rain on its parade" to NinjaMonkey. And thanks for arguing against Zeratul for me, in regards to siding with me on Smash's influence on the poll. I don't think I'm going to respond to his posts any further, since he made it clear in his last post that he's not being level-headed or respectful about the discussion at all.

Have you been reading up on all the Smash 4 leaks? Or are you wanting to keep it all a secret until you get the game yourself and try it out?

So how have the holidays been treating you?

Well, try practicing your speeches out loud by yourself first. Also, when you actually do your speech, try focusing on a spot in the background between two audience members' heads. That way, it'll look like you're still looking at the audience, but you won't get as nervous from everyone in the room. If your teacher wants you to shift your stare at different audience areas in order to distribute the attention you're giving to the audience, then just gaze at a space between...
-
between two different audience member's heads. Also, even if you're reading off a piece of paper for your speech, be sure to stare at the audience every now and then (or fake stare at them), since teachers will dock you marks for staring at your paper the whole time during a speech. I hope that helps.

So how have things been on SF since I've been gone? In a way, I've been intentionally been avoiding SF since I've gotten sick of all the debates, harshness, and hostility (not from you. Don't worry. You've really improved in that aspect). Even if SF was a perfectly safe, friendly haven, I still find there's much more fun to be had playing games rather than discussing them.

Yeah, I know that feeling. Well, mostly from gaming lately rather than from careers, but I did hit a similar wall 3 years ago. Hopefully your college has an employment help centre/site you can use for after you graduate. I know it helped me tons to find the full-time job I'm in now (though it took 1 1/2 years between graduating to getting a job in my degree).
-
So how've you been? It's been a while since I last talked to you.

Well... again I'm not talking about who is more preferable or who is better off~ I'm just saying that you can't expect any informative opinions out of me because I just don't think about that stuff so it's literally unproductive to bother asking ^o^
(now since I know this message will cut off ima make this two replies)

Awesome sig. =D Where'd you get it from?

I suppose so. I mean, neither the Tellius or DS era had particularly rabid fans even when they were the most recent games during their time (Jugdral did, despite never being the most recent one online, in a sense, though Jugdral is another story for another time). Keep in mind, I don't think I have too big a problem with the whole "waifu emblem" element, since even in series like Harvest Moon that have similar elements, I didn't find it weird or gross (so long as people keep it to a "safe for work" level). And although gameplay-wise, I would get married in games like those, I personally wouldn't obsess over those female characters too much, even if I did really like them looks and personality-wise.
Well, since I doubt mods are reading this, and since I've seen people get away warnless with talking about certain SF members making unreasonable posts, it's doofina/Ema Skye.
I hope you don't mind how worked up I always get over unreasonable fans. I do know it's something i need to tone down.
-
The obsession, by itself, isn't the problem I believe. Rather, its when said people get very defensive over said characters. For example, anytime someone wants to either criticize, or voice a dislike/disapproval toward, say, Lucina, there's most likely always going to be someone coming in as a white knight to defend her name, even if well warranted. It happened in Smash, and now its happened again in regards to FE Warriors. I didnt think she'd be in the game for literally having the same weapon (which is what creates everyone's movesets in Warriors games), and fighting style as Chrom. She was put in anyway, despite this, even if the devs were originally against it.
Oh them? I must have missed these cause otherwise, I had no actual opinion on them and they were just kinda... around. At least, when the Smash boards were still active.
Well, you seem much more tame about it in comparison to others I've seen, so I'd say you're fine haha. The very fact that you're aware of it makes it all the better tbh.
-
I was quite against Lucina in Fire Emblem Warriors as well, and now that you reminded me of "the weapon is what creates the moveset" rule in the Warriors series, now I'm even against it more. And I get you. I mean, there's definitely some criticism people give certain character's that unfair/incorrect, but there's some views you can't argue against, especially when it's mainly opinion/experience based (like someone thinking FE4 females looks to masculine or when someone constantly gets bad level ups from Hector).
doofina/Ema Skye are the same person. Ema Skye is just his newest name change while doofina is the username he's used the longest.
Thanks.

I'm not sure if you're much of a Smash Bros. person or not, but if you are, have you heard all of the Super Smash Bros. for 3DS/Wii U news from the April 8 Direct? There's tons of new info (like Greninja being a playable character).

So what characters are you personally wanting in SSB4, and which of the confirmed newcomers are you liking the most? I'm hoping for Takamaru and Dillon in SSB4 and Rosalina is the newcomer I'm liking the most so far. I really thought her being in would be a long shot, but I'm really glad that wasn't the case.
-
I still have to fight you in Smash Bros. some time. You really have my curiosity piqued regarding your skill level in Smash. The 3DS version would be more preferable to fight you in rather than the 3DS version, right? Also, would this Sunday (Nov. 30) be ideal to face you in Smash Bros.?

I have to say, trying to mentally prepare myself to fight you is kind of suspenseful (in a fun way), despite me knowing your mains and you knowing very few of mine (I purposely avoid revealing who my mains are in posts to get the edge on others when I face them). Then again, I did really overestimate Anacybele before facing her, when it turned out I was able to beat her in 3 of our 4 1-on-1's.
-
So out of curiousity, which of my Smash mains are you most looking forward to, or worried about facing? I'm personally wanting to face your Mario and Marth, since I actually hardly face people who also main those two like I do.

Well, I completely understand characters feeling unnatural to play. I mean, it's definitely not something you can easily put in words. I know that King Dedede feels really unnatural and weird for me, despite being quite good with other heavyweights like Bowser, Donkey Kong, and Ganondorf. And Lucario and Rosalina felt completely weird for me, which was disappointing since they were my most wanted newcomers for Brawl and SSB4 that actually got in.
-
Since I'm playing Star Wars Galactic Battlegrounds a lot lately, I just wanted to randomly tell you that you remind me of Jedi Master Echuu Shen-Jon quite a bit, personality wise (he's a good guy overall, don't worry).
-
I kind of thought you'd be more of a Chrom x Sumia person than a Gaia x Sumia person. Then again, the Gaia x Sumia support conversations are a lot cuter/funnier, which is more your style.

Cherche is quite pretty, and also quite underrated among the females of FE13. I actually haven't played FE13 due to not having a 3DS. After having my DS Lite get utterly worn down (non-functional L and R buttons and D-Pad, disgustingly soft A button, broken hinge, red tinted screen), I've been quite paranoid about getting another portable game console.
-
How have things been for you? I've barely seen you around ever since the Smash Direct.

So out of curiousity, you're against Mewtwo being in SSB4? Or you don't want him in just to keep Pokemon to 4 slots? Mario and Zelda would technically be at 5 slots right now (assuming Ganondorf is back which is likely and Sheik is her own separate slot now), and I'd think Pokemon deserves as many slots as (if not more) than Zelda, especially since Pokemon is a lot more prevalent and has sold a lot more game units than Zelda.
-
Ah, I guess that's understandable. Though besides Greninja, I can't really think of any instances where it's heavily implied that Game Freak overrode Sakurai's decisions. Pokemon Trainer was Sakurai's idea and not Game Freak's and Lucario was heavily requested in Brawl by both fans and Game Freak (well, for the latter I'd assume that's the case). Also, ignore the 4 slots in my previous comment and switch it to 5, since I somehow forgot Charizard.
-
I hope there's no hard feelings about the Lucina discussion in the "Least Favourite Character" thread. I mean, I think it's tame enough since we're not convincing each other to like/dislike certain characters, and we are just discussing the emulation/portrayal of Marth aspect while agreeing to disagree on Lucina's other aspects.
-
Since you're a relatively level-headed Smash fan, I wanted to ask you: do you personally think Lucina will be playable in SSB5? I know there's Sakurai and his stance on being reluctant to cut playable characters, but I honestly can't imagine FE getting 5 reps even in the next Smash Bros., and Lucina is most likely to be cut of the 4 we do have right now.

I have a strong feeling they're not going to add two fully evolved fire starters as playable characters. I mean, that'd be a really biased thing to do in terms of type representation in the Pokemon roster, especially considering this is the starters we're talking about. I mean, not having a grass starter playable in any form in SSB4 is one thing, but having two playable fire type starters seems a lot more biased.

I'm glad you like my current sig/avatar. It actually is Fluttershy. I guess you knew due to the abundance of MLP artwork from Deviantart?

Yeah, I guess I am quite a huge MLP fan. Rarity's quite awesome, though I don't really like her tendency to get others to carry her huge loads of luggage and suitcases. Besides that, she's not as selfish as people make her out to be. So what order do you like the remaining six in? Rainbow Dash is my least favourite of the mane six, followed by Pinkie Pie, though I don't particularly dislike either. I just like the other 4 better.
-
So... are you alright? You seem quite down and negative.

FE13 fanbases again, huh? I thought the FE fanbase couldn't get any worse than the FE4 fanbase. Still, I find the FE4 fanbases' overall voice to be much more annoying even now, since very few people fought against the FE4 fanbase and biasedness. There's plenty of FE13 haters/overratedness proclaimers to balance it out. ...wait, I'm adding to fanbase toxicity now, huh?
-
(notices you're on my latest visitors list) So how've you been? It's been a while since I've talked to you. Also, I'm liking the Marth avatar.
-
So weird question, but do you know the canonical names of each of the Dragon Quest leads? I only know Solo/Sophia for DQ4, Madason for DQ5, and Patrick for DQ6 (the last one was shown on an official English DQ6 DS site from what I recall).
-
So weird question, but who are your favourite male characters? I don't think I've ever seen you use a male avatar before.

I like Takumi, Leon, and Cyrus based on looks, though! Especially Cyrus, he has nice hair! I didn't think Fire Emblem would be up to it, but they finally managed to grasp that hairstyle! Some guys at my school have that hairstyle, so that's something relatable as well. And Vergil (from Devil May Cry) too, I guess that's one non-Nintendo male character I like.
-
Unsurprisingly though, I prefer male actors over female actresses. I think it has something to do with infatuation. I think Kaley Cuoco and Scarlett Johansson are pretty and all, but have you SEEN Chris Evans in the new Avengers movie? It's like they forced him to wear tight shirts! You could his true beauty!!!
-
Ah, there we go. That makes more sense (you preferring celebrity male crushes over fictional male crushes). I just found you're among the 10% of SF members that aren't vocal about their fictional/celebrity crushes. Then again, I really shouldn't be saying that since I'm very unvocal about mine as well.
-
SInce you seemed really down in the LtP Thread, I just want to tell you that you can always talk to me about it.

I'm glad you like the avatar. I told myself I'd use whatever got me psyched up the most from E3 2014, and that happened to be Pac-Man in SSB4. Yoshi's Woolly World being 2 player and Captain Toad getting his own game come quite close, though. What were your favourite things to come out of E3 this year?
-
...wait... editor!? Since when!? I mean, congrats, but I mean, first being the Source Gaming interviewee representing SF, and now editor? You just keep moving up in the world when I'm not looking, huh?

Where'd you get your current avatar picture from? It's awesome. =D
