Wow. This is fascinating. I'm looking at the strawpolls and I've noticed that Emblem Warriors, Tale Of Purt, and Ragefest Revengeance are all competing for first place in the Personal favorite category, but Emblem Warriors is monopolizing the strategist award, Tale of Purt The Jester award, and Ragefest Revengeance the writer award. It's probably too early to make assumptions, but I suspect that to most people, these three awards are probably the most valued in the contest, and the ones most likely to earn you a spot as someone's personal favorite (Formerly known as the Ragefest award). I'm wondering if next contest, people will be using these statistics to help determine their approach?

I finally went and decided a name for Ragefest V. Avraxas helped me out on that front. I've also decided that Ragefest V is not just gonna have a different ruleset than previous ragefests, but I might also give it something of a plot that creators can choose to incorporate into their submissions or not. The purpose mainly being to give the contest a better sense of continuity in its lore, as well as a slightly more defined timeline. I'll repeat though, contestants do not need to incorporate any of this into their submission. I'm also getting a professional artist (who you guys might know!) to make the banner for Ragefest V, and it's gonna be glorious. But enough about Ragefest V, it's time to make the voting video!

I shoulda been more clear. I wanna know why you guys picked the submissions you did more than just what they are. =X

In other news, I got as many permissions as I could to host the submissions of Ragefest IV. You can download them all here. Arrow In The Wind, Angel Of Darkness, and ℱ⋆ℰℵℰ are not downloadable. Wolfram and Baldrick said they didn't want their submissions hosted, and I'm not allowed to host ℱ⋆ℰℵℰ cause it's made in FEXNA, which isn't released yet. I figure you all deserve an explanation, but do not give any of them a hard time over this. I respect their wishes, and so should you. ... So... Voting's coming up soon. No one mentioned what their picks would be. This makes me super sad! I was looking forward to this part! Remember that your opinion might be enough to shift mine and other peoples' votes!

So. Surprises then? I'll name it the kogasa award~ :P Mm. But yeah, maybe there is enough difference between sound design and art design that it would warrant two different awards.

Hm... From those, I think the shock award would be best. Cause, like, sound design and stuff I feel could be under Artist award unless we want that to have sub categories.

@Hunter Nightblood: Disqualified submissions aren't allowed to win Strategist and Ragefest (overall) award, but they can win the others. @Augestein: I'm not actually going to give OUT anti awards. It was mostly because of the stream I did with EvilEggoWaffle, lost to time. He kept theorizing what was Marc's Precious and why it was so important for me to obtain it. And then I started seriously thinking about it too... I texted him and told him we never find out what it is, and this was his text reponse. "That Is Un Fucking Ceptable" ... XP I honestly want this to be a thing, and I honestly wanna see a Marc's Precious 2 just so we can find out what it is. ;-; Anyway, time for something I've been looking forward super much~! Guys and girls, tell me what submissions you think should get the five awards! Remember to look at this page on my website if you want to refresh your memory on each of the submissions. It describes them, links to their videos, and provides a download so you can play it for yourself and get to know the submission more intimately! And remember, the five awards are as follows: The Jester Award - Funniest Submission Strategist Award - Most challenging, creative, and fair submission Sadist Award - F*EXE. You know there is no contest here, but if you must know, this is for the submission that is the most insufferable and rage inducing to play. Artist Award - Submission with the best aesthetic, which is to say... the submission that has the best "atmosphere" to it, using graphics, palette, and music choices to make a submission with great presentation. I'm a little hesitant to state my opinions on the matter, but if people really wanna know, I can explain which ones I think were the best before voting is over. I'm not a fan of influencing people's opinions since I much prefer that people think for themselves, but I also understand that not everyone has played, is willing to play, or is even able to play some of these submissions, and only have my videos to go off of. I'm also a little curious on "anti" versions of these awards. Like, least sadistic, worst looking, etc. Just cause I think it's important to know what was done wrong as well as what was done right. But I also don't want people stepping on each others' toes >.> So yeah. THIS ISN'T THE VOTE YET. That's gonna be done this upcoming tuesday, and it will be done in the youtube comments of the official voting video since I feel like strawpoll is just gonna allow people to rig votes. It also gives people the ability to state WHY they voted for certain submissions, which I am highly interested in.

Actually, it occurred to me. If you wanted that program for when the player wants revenge, why isn't there a replay button or something?

I should not have let Marc's Special Day go scott free after all that cryptic nonsense it threw at me (Duke Nukem, talk to soldier, etc.). That was, like, probably one of the stupidest things I ever did. But lemme be clear here. Even if F*EXE wasn't disqualified, I would not have gone through playing it because the problems that ultimately led to my decision aren't necessarily related to rule breaking, but rather the fact that it's unenjoyable to play and to watch, and it is an enormous time commitment just to make even a little progress.

In the meanwhile, let's finally figure out what Marc's Precious is!

So uh... first thing's first. Happy birthday to me...? Now for some unfortunate news. PwnageKirby edited the submission. I played it with my friend Maritisa a few days ago and... even with all the edits which greatly decrease iteration time and tedium, the submission still triggered the appearance of the loathed "MiseryJoe1990", this time at full force. The footage I recorded, which is 47 minutes long raw, consists heavily of me complaining endlessly about the submission's faults, with the same amount of enthusiasm as that guy from the clear eyes commercial, with almost no progress. Even my co-commentator, whom I brought in hopes of lightening the mood with her adorable voice and chipper attitude, was brought down by my demeanor, and I'm pretty sure the footage cannot be salvaged aside from a very select few moments where I try to muster what little spirit I have left to say something funny. It's been, like, a week since I recorded the third part and I... feel absolutely no desire to go back to the submission. It's just not worth it no matter how many justifications there are. I don't even know if I'll edit and upload a third part. ... So here's what I've done. I spoke to a couple people about it, and the end result is that Maritisa and HeyItsKyo want to do a duel commentary on the submission, or record the game and show it to me. At this point, this is the best I can ask for. Yes, there are people who want me to play the submission, and blindly too, but let me be clear here; Nothing of quality will come from that. So yeah... I feel pretty bad cause I feel like I let everyone down, but I believe this is for the best. I spoke to PwnageKirby. She understands the situation and has more or less given me permission to just move on. Props to her for being a good sport, especially after I viciously and irrationally trashed her submission in the my Chronicles Of Lussaria group chat. >_<

So just so everyone knows, PwnageKirby is editing the submission. I requested that she strictly edit it so that convenient features are restored and iteration time is reduced. Let's see how this goes.
