  1. At a guess, Tinny. Failing that, Skasaher - He's cool right?
  2. Lara really should be kept away from the action at all costs, being a higher level isn't going to help her too much if her defense doesn't ever rise above 5. I used mine on Linoan, it helped her catch up with everybody else. A little thing about Ronan, I don't think he has any other lines in the game. Feel free to use him a little, he can cope for the first few chapters.
  3. Especially with the Brave Lance. Having little gold isn't too much of an issue, the shops cost too much any way. It's nice to have a good supply of stolen weapons though - Othin and Havan can get by on Iron and Steel axes for a good portion of the game - it's good to get them early. Don't be afraid to use Evayl a little. Admittedly, she's a horrible character but she saves a lot of effort against the early game bosses.
  4. Thracia is indeed a nasty title. It's good fun, but long ranged enemies are horrible. I've only cleared it once, I'm afraid to try again! The scrolls mean that it's pretty easy to fix a character with one flaw. The Neir scroll got Lifis up to 14 BLD - He was stealing Daim Thunders ^^. Especially handy against a certain someone. Fergus is a definite use, his PCC really is great, especially with Karin around. I do agree with Wrath on Karin, it helps make up for her poor STR. I'd also like to recommend Hicks, despite his sword rank (which took forever to get to C), he's fairly durable and is a good candidate for the Master Axe. DA125, no love for Sara? She caps magic, skill, speed and luck pretty quickly and has a wonderful skill set. She did wonders on Chapter 24x. Magic weapon levels don't matter too much. My mages (Asvel, Linoan, Homer and Sara) were doing well with Thunder tomes (which were plentiful and stolen!).
  5. Best: Midale/Edain Chapter 4 - Touching and he gets the Hero's Bow! Worst: Lance/Alan C - One's red, one's green. Personalities?
  6. The others appear in the Children modules, not the 2nd generation character ones. The substitutes are static characters so appear separately. Celice, I believe is also in the children editor but altering him is difficult. His stuff seems fixed.
  7. Volume 5 already? That's fast, thanks a lot!

  8. 1) Priest/Sage (FE5 Style and leaving me with some nice E rank Anima upon promotion) - I generally dislike fighting, but I'd do so if absolutely necessary. I also work in the medical field so it's kind of fitting. I'm not exactly the sturdiest of builds, so I think my CON and STR wouldn't be too great - not that it matters. 2) Myrmidon/Swordmaster - Speed would be on my side rather than strength. I'd also be a fan of my own critical hit animations. 3) Pegasus Knight/Falco Knight (FE4) - Staves at promotion, I'd also rather enjoy flying - unless I was in Ballistae territory.
  9. I guess I'll say thanks for that too! I wish I could help, but all I can do in Japanese is ask for phone-numbers :P.

  10. FinxEdain isn't bad at all. Growths are pretty solid all around and Prayer helps out. Rana also appreciates the magic bonus in chapter 7. Although I do like passing down Duel from Midir- along with the Hero's Sword. I actually did HolynxLachesis by accident on my first playthrough. Amazing strength and skill, a shame that Delmud needed the Hero Sword (which had 50 kills by then) to function. Nanna was stuck as a healbot but had enough HP to take a few hits.
  11. Thanks for the link to volume 4. All we need now is a complete volume 3 ^^.

  12. I enjoyed NoishxAyra, the kids had terrifying skillsets along with great stats. With LevinxTiltyu, I actually let Tiltyu have the Pursuit ring. Continue and Critical generally activate enough to finish off opponents. Over-rated = HolynxBriggid. I personally didn't like this one too much. Moonlight doesn't activate enough to help Patty too much (although B-rank swords are nice) and Faval's left with only pursuit. Admittedly, the Ichieval gives him plenty of offense but it's nice to have something else. I prefer Lex on this one, Elite and Ambush help Patty get through the arena and catch up whilst both of them appreciate Ambush. Holyn isn't horrible, it just wasn't as legendary as I had hoped. Under-rated = LevinxSylvia. Admittedly the worst of the three Holsety users, coming late and horribly underleveled. However, with enough Reserve Staff spamming and a little money from Patty, it's possible to promote him by the end of the chapter. The other two are usually still powerful with Azel and Claude as parents and it raises Corple from C rank to *. Leen also becomes a little better at dodging (she's doomed anyway). Not that I don't like the other two better, it's just this one isn't as bad as it's made out.
  13. Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood - Around 60 or so episodes, my personal #1 series. Only a single episode of filler - that being the first. Neon Genesis Evangelion - 26 episodes, psychological/mecha fusion, thought-provoking and very influentual. Make sure you watch the movie too. Outlaw Star - 26 episodes, space-age western. Moving yet full of great fight scenes/dogfights. Trigin - 26 episodes, another western. Very influentual although the ending was cut short and very open. Claymore - 26 episodes, dark medival fantasy. Fairly grim although not quite as impressive or as deep as Berserk. Great Teacher Onizuka - 43 episodes, Highschool hijinks with a seemingly incompetent teacher. Generally comical although it does get serious once in a while. I apologize if you've seen some of these, although the rest should keep you busy and entertained ^^.
  14. I've actually been following this manga, the problem was I could only find it up to chapter 12 so I assumed it any translation attempts had been abandoned. It's really nice to see it going - only 8 more volumes to go ^^!
  15. Sorry for the double-post but I'd like to mention that this is still going ^^. I'm currently sorting through the Enemy module for enemies that have weapons they can't use. If anyone's still interested, could you lend me a hand and help find them in-game for me? Other than Azel, I'm wondering about different options for Hannibal. With his speed, he's never going to double anything - so Pursuit's out of the question. Would a sword skill or Wrath be a good idea? It's kind of hard to tank with such a half-hearted offense. Another update's on its way, mostly minor things but any interesting ideas are welcome.
  16. A flying Lord could be interesting from a gameplay point of view too. I'd imagine this Lord would have other fliers instead of the overdone Red and Green cavaliers, meaning that archers could really be a threat for the early-game squad. Ballistae would also be interesting, both them and archers could in theory appear more as the game got more difficult. FE Sr. sounds like the Berserk manga ^^.
  17. Valid reasoning, Lightning. I'd actually be inclined to agree. Whilst Holsety is amazingly broken, it's not around too long and doesn't help that many units, not even Corple ^^. The Hero Sword also has utility in aiding units through the arena, Alec and Noish certainly benefit from it. I like to stick mine on Holyn!Patty, which really does help her level up until I can stop babying her. Most Holsety users tend to get to level 30 fairly quickly, so the "help" isn't really appreciated. Most enemies tend to avoid Holsety users (especially if they have 100+ evade), meaning their usefulness enemy-phase is cut a little. However, the Hero-sword can be used for some serious tanking. I've had a Holyn!Delmud (bad first playthrough) protect Chalphy from the entire Grauen Ritter with it (especially nice as it had over 50 kills). There's also the large number of units that can use it. Pretty much every sword-user has access to it (aside from Patty or Leen) and another one comes along later.
  18. Mine can't double Hand Axers, neither can Lugh ^^. It's a shame, his other stats are fairly solid - it's troublesome that STR and SPD are more important.
  19. First playthrough here, Rutger has 6 RES at level 17. Not amazingly helpful but still 3 higher than it should be. My Deak made it to level 18 with 1 level up in STR and none in SPD, putting him 3 and 4 under the averages respectively. Lugh's also 4 under his average speed at level 16, at least his magic is 5 over.
  20. I agree with the Wind Sword outdoing the Fire and Thunder Swords. Especially with the WTA against all the Thunder using enemies you face in chapters 7 and 8, plus the weight. Tron has the problem that it's stuck on a select group of units, due to the high weapon rank, whilst the Wind Sword is pretty much available for every sword user. Although Tron does wonders for those who can use it, Linda and Tiltyu really being saved from the gutter.
  21. Best: FE4, FE1 and FE5 coming close. Worst: FE8, not horrible but I prefer the others.
  22. 1) With enough defense, being stabbed by a sword or struck by lightning doesn't hurt at all. 2) With a low weapon level, you're not allowed to use certain weapons despite the fact swinging a sword isn't a terribly hard concept. 3) Armies take turns and decide to wait to get ambushed. 4) The skill "Ambush" lets you break the rules and beat up your opponent on their turn. 5) Weapons seem to be incredibly fragile, I'm not sure axes break after 20 swings otherwise lumberjacks would be out of luck. 6) Silver somehow produces better weapons that Steel, at least the cost is higher. 7) Attacking diagonally is impossible for melee units, despite the opponent only being slightly further away. 8) The wide array of unusual names. Who calls their child Leaf or Delmud? 9) Recruiting an enemy unit results in a change of clothes. Just a few ^^.
  23. FE3: Abel FE4: Noish FE5: Carrion FE6: Lance
  24. Best: Sety (FE5) Holsety really does him favours, 37 attack and a good chance of a critical or continue activating is pretty deadly. Worst: Ricardo (FE3 Book 1) Terrible bases and weapon level mean that he won't be dealing any kills in the near future.
  25. Azel could actually pass a sword skill down to the sword twins, Patty and Lynn. Sylvia is a fair choice for Azel but Aira and Briggid aren't really that great with him. Ambush would make AzelxTiltyu far too powerful ^^. If sword skills could be passed down freely, it'd be another story. There's a whole module for animations, I can't remember its name but it's something like Battle Sprite editor. In the module, all I did was replace redundant animations such as female Social Knight and put the values for the classes I wanted in. Regular axes were fairly easy to add, they can use the sword animations. However, with bows and hand axes, I had to use sprites from other classes like the Bowfighter and Warrior.
