  1. broody myrmidons from the token nomad-esque country who want to Be The Strongest are BORINGBORINGBORING both in character and gameplay rutger is the only good one
  2. Great job! A suggestion: instead of two Shadowgift classes, maybe have one of them have some sort of "Lightgift" instead? With so many classes available, Light magic could reasonably be included.
  3. tacummiesi have reached nirvana and it's all thanks to tacummies
  4. because j-pop fans are butthurt that k-pop got all the international attention that j-pop didn't (while ignoring the fact that j-pop never really seeked such attention to begin with) and because most k-pop acts try to promote in japan (and why wouldn't they? it's the second biggest musical market in the world and it's around the corner, they can actually make money there) k-pop was probably never even musically influenced by j-pop because both were equally influenced by western music at the same time though k-pop probably borrowed from j-pop visually until they got their own (superior imo) concepts
  5. the only possible (as in, has a paired ending) pairing I like for either of them is Florina. #polyamory I also like Hector/Eliwood but they've denied me even a best friends forever-type paired ending for them oh well
  6. same #lifegoalsalso reading the post above me made me realize: shiiit i focused on playable dudes and entirely forgot lloyd and linus *edits*
  7. oh my god"fuck you everyone knows you're a fucking pokemon scammer" is now my favourite insult of life and I hope I'll ever have a chance to use it
  8. finally a thread for me 1- WOLT 2- Inigo/Laslow 3- Ares 4- Takumi 5- Gerik 6- Lloyd 7- Tibarn 8- Roy (specially in SSB4) 9- Astram 10- Boyd (in FE10) and now a truckload of honourable mentions: - all Blonde Paladins in Dark Armor (plus Forde whose armor is red lol), I was including too many of them and decided to leave just the hottest one. the others would have this order: Perceval, Xander, Forde, Eldigan, Delmud, Camus - pretty much all other male lords, in this order: Ike (his FE10 art/portrait are atrocious though), Chrom, Eliwood, Hector, Leif, Ephraim, Seliph, Marth; Alm and Sigurd are the only ones I wouldn't include - Cain, Wolf, Shanan, Ulster, Ishtore, Sleuf, Raven, Linus, Innes, Duessel, Gatrie, Edward, Leonardo, Hinata, Jakob, Leo, Ryoma
  9. i am a dinosaur so i found out pretty much when fe7 was out and i found fess. but then i kinda figured out by myself that staff hit rates were 1 RN when i dodged a 98% sleep in fe6 ^_^ (yes, it would be possible for it to miss in 2 RN but, like, it's roughly 100 times less likely. i've still never seen a 98% attack miss)
  10. I actually see some merit in the stat inflation because if your units are mote likely to have higher stats then enemies can be proporionally tougher but still manageable. I don't know if this logic actually stands if you get some numbers though so correct me if I'm wrong. Awakening seemed to allow you to far outgrow your enemies but that's a problem even with lower stats (hi, FE8). Also, a way to nerf fliers a bit: make them have one less Move then ground mounts (so, currently, 6 Mov unpromoted and 7 Mov promoted). At least this way they aren't just superior mounted units I guess. Maybe they could even stand to have the same move as foot units because ignoring terrain is what makes them so useful.
  11. I like the face sprites, the style of the battle animations (they could be a little more dynamic though) and I think the dull-ish colouring fits the game. I also like the way the DS games do reclassing, even though the redundancy of the magic classes was stupid. It's just that... the gameplay and story are so clearly old? The writing is great but it's not enough to add meat to those bones. Without supports, what was a big and varied cast for its time became a bunch of mostly disposable and empty characters. Reclassing/forging/etc were also not enough to truly modernise the gameplay which feels too straightforward even without warpskipping or sedgarandwolfskipping. Etc. It's a fun game, but in the same way all those remakes/ports of Final Fantasy I are fun, you know? It should have never been marketed as a main series game, or it should have been more modernised, like FE12 (which is in my opinion the closest to flawless FE has ever been, and yes, including the Avatar). Of course FE12 benefits from a much less archaic source material, but really just adding some support conversations would do wonders for FE11 already.
  12. I actually think some things Fates added look kinda superfluous and do not need to return, such as the Hoshido duplicates of every weapon type (works for the theme of the game, doesn't need to return), most of the new classes (Malig Knight is totally allowed to stay though) and the entire Dagger/Shuriken weapon type (seriously, magic is begging for more variety, you guys create an entire debuffing system that could really breathe new life in the old magic triangles and... you slap it on a fifth, entirely superfluous physical weapon type? nuh, bruh, nuh). And of course I could do just swell without avatars, marriages and children but at least the former isn't going anywhere, so. Also I want Skills to be entirely personal and unrelated to classes again. It's entirely doable and compatible with grinding if you do it right. And: I need to play the game to be sure but unbreakable weapons don't sound like they actually improve anything strategy-wise. Things from Fates that need to stay forever include: reclassing without a level reset, weapons increasing/decreasing avoid and attack speed (now weapon weight doesn't need to return and this can of worms can be closed forever!!) and status staves (yes Fates didn't invent them but their return is gloooorious).
  13. my sig is wonderful. also... if you haven't figured out what's going on already just keep unlocking children. i'm NOT ruining this to you.
  14. is it a joke or are you actually missing something.
  15. Gen 1 is a 5, Gen 2 is an 8, went with 7 overall because Gen 2 is supposed to be the main event anyway
  16. - Which realm (Elibe, Magvel, Tellius, Ylisse, Hoshido/Nohr etc etc etc etc etc) Elibe or Magvel - What class would you be? scenario 1: Mage scenario 2: Troubadour - What allegiance inside that game would you be in Etruria or Rausten, eventually joining the Lord - What would you do in that realm? (ex: Mercenary, Lieutenant in an army, etc) scenario 1: formerly in the army and currently a free agent mercenary scenario 2: in the army, in the higher ranks (noble origin or just by going up the ranks, I'm not sure which is best) - What role in the story (ex: enemy, ally, mentor, etc) scenario 1: the Sexually Ambiguous Mage Guy Who Is Best Friends (And Probably More) With the Hot Male Mercenary™ scenario 2: a male troubadour in the army, tagging along with some cool/good-looking knights and possibly even a general, and they all would join forces with the Lord as the war goes on. this isn't as obvious as scenario 1, so explanation: FE6 has these enemy formations in the Etruria chapters that consist of 1 Paladin, 2 Cavaliers and 1 Troubadour and they just look so tidy and self-suficient that I always wanted the player to have one of those lol - Your weapon of choice (and any special properties it has) I take it this means an exclusive weapon, so: scenario 1: Anima-themed Thani - actually, WATER-themed Thani since Fates has introduced magic outside the five common FE elements scenario 2: a Restore staff that works at a distance like Physic, or a Defense version of Barrier/Ward - Additional info other continents could easily have the character roles I mentioned, but none of them have a magic/religion-focused country like Rausten and Most Badass Country Etruria which would fit the character better, so I chose those two. I haven't played Fates but Hoshido seems perfect for scenario 1
  17. Calill and Largo don't even support in fact has anyone in the history of the internet actually managed to do a Largo -> Calill data transfer??? all I see is people claiming it doesn't work
  18. I'm not sure if I can do a double post buuuuut yassss a new chapter!! "I cannot EVEN I can only odd" is my new favourite line thx now I'm off to write ralph/sleuf slash (broslash? brash?) in my mind
  19. lol this is brilliant. possibly they just forgot to add the localised text, but if this was on purpose: brilliant. the original support only introduced them to each other and added some generic guilt trip. the new support still conveys the same message and also that sometimes you don't need words. good job treehouse.
  20. I mean, hidden weapons were basically created to fill a gap in the triangle so they could just stop existing (with light or dark magic inheriting their effects?), and bows could probably just stay out of it like they always did. Alternatively a sixth weapon could be introduced but that's probably excessive.
  21. I really hope this is finished soon/someday for a reason that I'm not sure anybody has used before: I never had access to the epilogue before and now that I know the epilogue distributes all the kingdoms to their heirs I absolutely need to replay the game and make sure all kingdoms have a heir! like, only Jamke's kids inherit Verdane. I never paired Jamke with anyone before, I think. this is atrocious! this is giving me ocd!! I need to pair Jamke next time
  22. ... because, as I said, the weapon triangle includes all weapon types in FE14, including tomes, so the three magic types could reasonably be included like standalone tomes were, so they'd have weapon triangle interaction with physical weapons, making it relevant because physical weapons are everywhere. I thought it was so obvious I didn't need to explain lol.
  23. It would be entirely possible to have three magic types and make them different. They just introduced a fifth weapon more successfully than Tellius did and also divided them between two slightly different subtypes for Hoshido/Nohr, not to mention the myriad of new weapon effects. Reintroducing Anima, Light and Dark with enough differences between them would be super easy.
  24. favorite characters (it's like 80% personality 20% design) 1- WOLT 2- Caeda 3- Clarine 4- Roy 5- Reyson so much FE6 ownage. also I tried to go for a top 10 but it was already hard to decide fifth place lol honourable mentions by universe: Archanea: Marth, Merric, Linde, Katarina, Catria Jugdral: Ares, Larcei, Arvis, Ishtar (was gonna be #5 until I decided to go with someone playable), Leif Elibe: Lucius, Niime, Serra, Lilina, Vaida Magvel: Forde, Innes, Lyon, Lute, L'Arachel Tellius: Calill, Elincia, Heather, Tibarn, Boyd
  25. ironically now that FE14 includes all weapon types on the same triangle, the trinity of magic would probably become super relevant if reintroduced do it, IS, do it!!
