    American politics is my main hobby. Watching the political body work (or sometimes not work) is vastly entertaining. This election has been a blast so far, and I'm eagerly waiting to see the results in November.


    I also love reading. The classics are my favorite. My favorite book is Don Quixote de La Mancha. It's very telling about the culture of Spain at the time and viewing it as not satire makes it really funny. I also love Moby Dick and Atlas Shrugged. I've probably read more from the 1920's than any other time though. Fitzgerald and Hemmingway are also two of my favorites (For Whom the Bell Tolls and Tender is the Night are both great). Dickens is alright too. I don't like Stienbeck's work at all though. The Grapes of Wrath just seems to drag on. My favorite non-American work aside from Don Quixote is easily Anna Karenina. I didn't care for War and Peace, but Anna Karenina had such a beautiful message at the end. I did appreciate some of War and Peace though such as the discussions about how lightly some people live and such. It's still worth a read.



    I don't watch much TV anymore. I used to love Jeopardy!, House MD, NCIS (sorta), and MLP:FiM, but I've grown distant from them as of late.

    I'm always weary of letting possessions own me, so I pretty much always bring my consoles over to my friends' houses. Would it suck if they broke? Yeah. But I suppose sharing good times with friends and letting them have fun is more important to me than my belongings. Heck, one of them borrowed my Radiant Dawn copy about 3 months ago and he doesn't know where it is. Stuff happens. No sense worrying about a silly console* or game when there are more important things in life. And, thankfully, games and console are replaceable. EDIT : Typo

    I personally did like the monsters in FE8, but that's just my opinion. They never seemed to live up to the other units, so I ditched most of them. Edit: Missing words

    Yeah, I identify as a paleocon, and Trump is better from the small government side of things as opposed to Hillary. Both are authoritarians, but I do think Trump would be somewhat better. It's true that hating him is almost just, "All the cool news sources kids are doing it." It's just one big meme. The way I see it, he takes the most outrageous position he can, and if it helps him with the demographics he wants, he sticks to his guns, and if it doesn't he slowly walks it back over the next few interviews. He and Pence are keen on the touch-back deportation (You gotta leave! ...and then you can come back legally.). I'm hoping he gets a good budget slasher in his cabinet/advisers, because the debt could get very bad, very fast if the conditions are right. But I still trust the odds of that to be better with Trump. Worst comes to worst, we stomach 4 years of either of them, and then maybe a Ron Paul type guy shows up and makes some waves. If Trump wins, it'd be harder to give somebody else the nom in 2020, but Regan almost got Ford in 1976, so who knows?
