I just use Cecilia for staffbot work and occasionally killing some enemies with Aircalibur. I kind of find it fun to use her.

So, yeah, she's not really much of a bad unit.

Cecilia isn't entirely worthless, but she is the worst Magic user in the game, so why use her over Lugh, Lilina, Clarine or Hugh? Not to even mention Raigh

  2. Here mine Zelda is absolutely incredible series that has ZERO bad mainline (ie no crossbow, warriors, 4 swords, cdi etc.) entires every game has it own merits and is great in it's own right. I may like some of them more and some of them less, but every single game is worthy of the Zelda moniker.

Keep in mine boy and girls Zelda is such a divisive series that there are not many actually unpopular opinions about it, just different opinions.

Four Swords is canon and a main series Zelda game

Hey, why don't you share your unpopular Zelda opinions? Why? No particular reason.

    I'll start:

-Phantom Hourglass is better than Spirit Tracks

-The Temple of the Ocean King was pretty good

-A Link to the Past is WAY overrated

    -The Ancient Cistern is Overrated

-Skyward Sword has the best dungeons in the series

Another one, I don't like the Sand Temple from Spirit Tracks, I hate it tbh
  3. Windwaker best Zelda

Dungeons are the weakest part of 3D Zeldas and BOTW will be better off with just 4

    Zelda 1 and 2> LTTP

    LBWs best top down Zelda

TP is complete unredeemable garbage. Garbage story, garbage gameplay for Zelda standards, read "good for adventure game standards, bad for Zelda standards, and the game is just UGLY in large part due to the stupid art style choice.

SS is alright and would be great if it wasn't for the motion controls.

The addition of voice acting in BOTW and HW was a mistake.

WW best Zelda isn't exactly unpopular

The time limit isn't a problem at all, in my experience. 10:00 to start is more than enough for floors 1-6, and 25:00 for the whole thing is way more than one might ever need.

Heck, with endgame equipment one can register 0:00 elapsed for the yellow light.

I just don't like time limits
  4. PH > ST

    Hero of Time/Romani > Hero of Time/Malon

Ocarina of Time is meh at best and far from the world's best game

Skyward Sword's only notable problem was the controls

Temple of the Ocean King being repetitive is overblown, as is the time limit complaint.

TFH is actually quite fun and not a disgrace to the series.

ALBW is the best top-down Zelda overall

I agree about Skyward Sword and the only problem I have with the Temple of the Ocean King is the time limit

  6. If you want to put the blame on SOMEone, I'd put in on Desmond for being a cruel and hateful piece'a shit, but yeah, I do agree with most people saying Zephiel is responsible for his own actions-- he's an adult by that point and should take responsibility for what he does, even if he did have a really messed-up childhood. But still, if he's never allowed to properly resolve and come to grips with the shitty way he was raised (child psychology isn't exactly a thing in this world or at this era of time, if I had to guess), then it's not really surprising that he's gonna have some issues, which needless to say is highly dangerous for the ruler of a powerful nation.

So, yeah... I'd blame Desmond, personally. And possibly Helene as well, not for rescuing her son (she's a mother, of course she's gonna try to keep him from getting killed why wouldn't she), but for contributing to the hateful relationship between herself and Desmond. You could make the argument that even if she'd tried, Desmond might still be too hateful, but they both deserve blame for refusing to reconcile and just making everything worse and worse for each other, not to mention their families and ultimately the whole continent lol.

Neither Eliwood's group nor Jaffar and Nino deserve blame, they were doing what was, at the time, morally the right thing. Even if they had known what COULD or MIGHT happen, killing Zephiel or allowing him to die would still be morally wrong, since he's still innocent at that point.

Desmond more so than Hellene, Hellene loved Zephiel, the only real thing was that she was obsessed with making sure he took the throne, instead of Guinevere.

Zephiel and Guinevere loved each other, but Desmond hated Zephiel and Hellene resented Guinevere. Where Guinevere's mother (I'm pretty sure that's Limstella) is in all this, I dunno

  7. There is little point in comparing (FE6)Marcus' base stats to other promoted characters if you don't have access to any of those. His competition at the start of the game are a bunch of unpromoted units and at that point he completely outclasses anyone on your team. Of course, that changes over time (and nobody here will try to convince you that Marcus is endgame material), but for a long period of time, including one of the hardest chapters in the game (ch.7), ignoring/benching Marcus makes the game much, much harder that benching anyone else would. And I think someone already pointed out that Marcus and Zealot remain decent during the Western Isles arc, so they're relevant for about half the game. And that's good, in case you were wondering.

@topic: Thany is probably the most useful all around, due to the lack of competition until Tate and especially Milady show up. But on HM (and if I had to choose between them), I'd probably bench Thany for her sister and both Pegs for Zeiss. Despite the first paragraph, I tend to overvalue potential over immediate use, but I think that at least training Zeiss would be more worthwhile than keeping Thany and Tate on the team. Tate vs. Thany is probably questionable, though.

Although if I had to choose between Thany, Tate, Yuno and Zeiss, I'd go Tate (of course, Miledy trumps all)
  8. Or just don't use a Shaman at all. ;) Dark Magic isn't that great in this game, thanks to its huge tome weights. The legendary Dark Tome doesn't even deal effective damage to monsters.

If you do want to take the Shaman route, you could consider the Summoner class. Losing out on Anima isn't too great, but it might be fun to play around with some disposable units. In that case, Knoll's phantoms are actually a bit stronger than Ewan's, but since you don't need them to survive anything anyway, that doesn't really matter.

But Dark Magic is still better than Light Magic
  9. According to the wiki, both classes are fine for Ewan's growths. Never thought of having a druid, since I thought at first of having only Knoll as the single dark magic user.

I thought of making the opposite of every selection (except some) of promotions when playing Ephraim's route, so I'll try out Shaman/Druid Ewan.

DO IT! Knoll sucks, Ewan is MUCH better
  10. And actually, if Nergal had just waited 20 years he could have drained all the quentessence produced by Zephiel's war on his leisure and open the dragon's gate that way.

Yes, but that would've required that he eliminated Eliwood and friends, but eliminating them from the picture would result in Nino, Jaffar and Zephiel being dead, and then there would be no Zephiel to start that war
  11. For all Eliwood and his companions knew at the time, Nergal was a bigger threat to Elibe than Zephiel could ever be. And to stop Nergal, they had to ensure Zephiel's survival.

Retroactively preventing Zephiel from conquering Elibe would have simply meant that Nergal would do it 20 years sooner, and with much less resistance.

Exactly, it would've taken Nergal less effort to conquer Elibe than Zephiel, Zephiel had to take an army and expend soldiers, Nergal had magic powerful enough to conquer Elibe himself, especially with the help of dragons
  12. I have to play Lyn's mode anyway because I'm playing on the Wii U Virtual Console and it's like starting a brand new game. I think I'm going to focus on Sain and Florina if I can; Matthew will always be useful as a thief and Lucius is always pretty good for me. Wallace is going to be wasted because of the forced promotion.

The rest, ehhh I dunno about them. I'll have to see how they turn out.

Well, if you were gonna use Wallace, play LHM so you aren't forced to promote him at Level 12

Also, I neglected to mention Serra, as you will use her anyway because healing and Lyn who you will use because Lord
