Hector has Goad Armor. It gives +4 Atk and +4 Spd to any armored units within 2 spaces and it stacks. This means if the Hector are close together, each one gets +12 Atk and +12 Spd from the other 3. 24->36 speed means Hector is very difficult to double and Hector will even double a lot of other units including Roy and both Tiki. 52->64 Atk means Hector hits like a truck even when resisted.

I'm sure skills like that don't stack. Otherwise Buff (Unit Type) teams would've been much more common. So Roy is still shredding Hectors left and right.

Also does anyone know if Alfonse is fast enough to double Hector at same level/rarity?

Yup, they do not stack. Only the highest individual buff number for a stat will be used, so if you used Hone Atk 2 for +3 Atk, then Rally Attack for +4, you get +4 Atk in the end.

Goad Armor works like Spurs. I think Spurs don't stack with themself, but stack with any other buff (Spur Atk stacks with Rally Attack for example)

I dont think Takumi is gonna be more OP since he already has almost the perfect skillset, and breakers work both ways, you would just need to stick bowbreaker to a mage and kill it, so infact is gonna be more easy to really counter him, since as far as I know there is no skillset he can run to avoid it.

Well there's Blue Tomebreaker (counters M!Robin), Daggerbreaker (counters Kagero), maybe Quick Riposte, Renewal, Wings of Mercy or Vantage. Even if it's just B Slot, there's enough things to make him even more dangerous.

  3. I think Lvl 40 Roy with Triangle Adept equipped can shred 4 Hectors by himself. Alfonse can also if not ORKO one, but at least come very close. IMO Tharja can ORKO Hectors reliably, so long as there's a dancer/singer and a healer to help her longiviety. Then there's also people with Armorslayers/Ruby Swords who can also deal with them at least somewhat. As said, Young Tiki.

The problem is that most guys who can reliably deal with Hectors are dismantled by all the blues running around, so using them is impractical. I use Roy, myself, but I shelve Triangle Adept, as he can actually deal with some blues without it.

As for Takumi, this a...abnormality can go burn in hell, I have lost god knows how many chains because of him.

How is the 1000 feathers not worth it? Using the last couple of days I should be able to finish the 80 arena quest with more than 20 crests left over.

Well it all depends on your win rate. I you win a lot, then yeah it's worth it. If not, then I'd settle for 40 wins and keep whatever crests I still have.

  5. Your Tiki having 27 Speed is unfortunate. It takes 28 not to get doubled by that blue mage.

And yeah, the blue mage is an asshole. He if not ORKOed my Roy (who tanked) but came very close to it. Getting Roy's speed up to 28 helped. I cleared it with this team:

5* Roy (who did the heavy lifting)

5* Eirika (did mostly nothing, but her buffs allowed Roy to ORKO the axe guy)

    4* Lissa (REHABILITATE works wonders)

    3* Olivia (obvious)

As for strategy it was mostly the same as yours, except my Olivia stood where your Fae was, and she danced Lissa (who was in the same place as your Sakura) to get away after healing. I only needed to tank the lance guy and Robin after the first round, then stupido enemies came in close themselves xD. I think it's a kink in the AI.

Yeah, I just hope it won't end up with everyone having Distant Counter/Close Counter/Svalinn Shield/Death Blow/Speed+ + Breakers/Desperation/Vantage/Wings of Mercy/Escape Route + Rally/Spur + Reposition/Pivot/Smite + Any other special skill. Some my castle battles became just annoying with everyone having more than 3 breakers for example.

Well there won't be more than 3 breakers that's for sure. Besides even with 3 breakers, there's still enough weapon types not covered by a breaker to go (although swordbreaker will annoy a lot of ppl with all the swordlords running around).

It would be weird if that game is allows inheriting skill by merging diferent people that easily. I'm optimistic you'll need a certain number of SP/shards/feathers to enable inheriting skills. I lean towards feathers since those are pretty rare so it's not too easy to inherit skills and so it breeds money, but seems unfair. Shards would enable people to have access to it and they would finally have some use, but it might be too easy to acquire them.

An alternative would be crystals? Getting them is somewhat painful though, much like feathers. Worst case scenario, they will require orbs to inherit skills *shudder*

  7. 5*Marth/5*Roy (pretty much interchangable, main hitter. Marth doubles anyone and teleport away when things get too messy, Roy hits like a truck and has around 26/27 def/res on EP. Triangle Adept can get shelved, there's too much blues around)

5*Eirika (for buffs and dealing with occasional greens. Still not tough enough to deal with blues)

4*Sharena (good offence, mostly deals with fast-but-not-that-strong reds or Triangle Adept blues)

4*Serra (Healer, mass +4 speed saved my ass a lot of times, occasionaly softens enemies up for others to kill)

I'm thinking of replacing Serra for Lissa after witnessing the power of REHABILITATE. Maybe levelling 4*Anna or 4*Gunter to deal with blues.

  8. I would've cleared the hard version of the map... had Roy had 1 more speed to avoid being doubled by the blue mage. And I can't keep him glued to Marth or Eirika. And I don't get a good flier (my best is fkin Florina) or Kagero. At least I still get Rehabilitate!Lissa, but she's greatly undeleveled.

    Again, Say that to Sharon/Sharena

Starts at 2* and requires an ungodly amount of feathers to get to highest potential? Check. Don't get me wrong, Sharena is awesome, and the retweet event helped get her to 4*, but it's still quite an investment to unlock that potential. Ditto for Alfonse (highest attack out of everyone, yo) and Anna.

EDIT: I actually beat Hard Robin map just now. I did by leveling Roy until he no longer got doubled by Blue Mage then parking him in front of the pit. Lissa and Olivia moved to the top where mages couldn't get them. Roy tanked Robin and the blue mage, counterkilling an axe guy on EP. On the next turn I moved him bahind the walls where only one mage and one melee guy can attack him, healed him with Lissa, then got Lissa back to safety with Olivia. After that it was pretty much "lance guy attacks, gets countered, Robin scratches for 2, Lissa heals, gets dragged back by Olivia, rinse and repeat". Had it not been for idiot mages deciding to move in front of Roy, I wouldn't have won. It took 5 stamina pots, but I won) The 4th guy (Eirika) didn't even need to do anything, but I guess her buffs helped Roy ORKO the axe guy.

But yeah, Dance!Olivia's value is insane.

  9. Just reached Lunatic Arena promotion quests. 80 Wins!? What the hell are they smoking there to see that as doable without wasting a shitton of crests?

Also, it wouldn't be beneath them to make a quest to beat Lunatic Hector with a team of lance users. Or Lyn with a team of axies.

so the map ended up taking 95 turns to complete.

Holy SHIT. It seems someone making those quests overlooked something... Something makes me think the way it's supposed to be played is to stack a shitload of buffs on, say, Lucina then overkilling that armor with a special proc.

  11. 15 advanced arena is actually the easiest for me. After all, it's the only one that doesn't require your party to be in the 30-s to even try, you can try with a team of lowlevels for example. The problems are 5* units, but they are generally not as prevalent as on higher levels. And there's arena promotion quests to get a lot of arena crests.

Now Lunatic 7-3 on the other hand... which chars have armorslayers again? I only know Selena, but I don't have her atm.

  12. 5* Marth is pretty much my nuclear option right now, especially if I see a dragon (OHKO galore). Regen from Falchion and mobility from Pivot help. After that, Sharena is almost as good as Marth, despite only being standard 2* and using an Iron weapon. I wonder how good she will be when ranked up.

  13. Just a little question - i have 3 pairs of duplicates (2star/1star Virion, 2 3star Felicias and 4star/5star Marth). I wonder if it's better to merge them right away, or train them to the same rarity then merge? Or even just send them home (mainly in case of Virion)?

Also, unrelated question - is it worth it to train Anna/Alfonse/Sharena?
