  1. Finally done with the event. Had a bunch of missions I still had to do after Barbados went down so only got done with the missions now. Jack was a bonus servant so the CQ ended up pretty easy. I think her NP does like 200k with just Black Grail and the event buff, and Waver doesn't really do anything by himself---he did manage to kill Jack, but my back line had King Protea, and KP vs. Waver is unwinnable for Waver. I'll probably keep farming bronze currency to try and pick up the Fou cards that are still in the event shop, but if I don't manage to get all of them then oh well. Everything else is cleaned out aside from the monuments and... gears. Barbados dropped like 500 of those, so I'm not going to buy them
  2. Pretty much all out of apples now (have like 7 silver and 2 copper left), and I'm not going to eat rainbow apples, so a bit more than 600 runs is all I'm doing. My natural AP regen will go towards Barbados as long as he's still alive, but it won't add much more. Don't really have anything against eating rainbow apples (I think 30% of my premium currency went towards refilling sanity in Arknights), but my box is established enough that I'm not in a hurry to farm anything in FGO. Despite all this farming, I think I still don't have enough QP to max all my SSRs, not to mention the materials and EXP. One downside of Barbados farming compared to lottery events, it doesn't rain EXP.
  3. Mind that the raid quest gives more Bond points per AP since it's 30 AP while giving 815 AP (compared to 915 AP for 40 AP which is what usually happens). And not being a lottery event means you can use non-event CEs that boost Bond/QP drops. Considering it's way faster to farm than a lottery node it's probably significantly better than a lottery event in terms of farming. Lottery events also tend to be backloaded, since early on you have worse nodes + don't have that many CE drops yet, but you get full efficiency here right off the bat. I think I'll make a macro to farm automatically for me. I need a lot of QP right now.
  4. If you still need an Illya I happen to have her. She did like 700k when I used Black Grail with Waver & Skadi , so I'm assuming Kaleidoscope Illya should do fine. Edit: Assuming the card type down debuff is 50% 700k should mean she'll OHKO even with Buster Down, since 700k * (120/170) = 494k, and two random face cards should finish. Illya gets 50% from her skill 1 and 20% from her NP, so a Buster Down debuff doesn't do much unless the number is huge.   5. Took a few apples, but mostly done with missions until 5/5. There's still some farming ones I have to do, but I got to the point where the rest of the event will unlock immediately on 5/5. Pity the missions means that I have to farm some nodes I don't really want to farm, but whatever. I'd prefer to just spam the node that drops pages, which also happens to drop all 3 types of currency.
  6. Honestly it might be better for me to take a 5* event servant rather than just bringing Bunyan everywhere, but between Waver and Reines she's decently survivable despite being level 60. (If we napkin math a level 90 servant to have 50% more Atk than Bunyan it's not really useful to bring her, since the higher Atk basically cancels out her Berserker type effectiveness.) Also, it's a very good thing this event drops QP in its nodes, because I'm like 600 million QP in the hole just to level and skill all the new servants I got since the last lottery event. I'm also getting killed by materials, but one problem at a time. I don't have Mona Lisa to boost the 500k drop but even for QP nodes I run the bond CE anyway, so it doesn't matter. My pulls got me everything I cared about (at least 1 5* CE and MLB of the more common ones). Luvia didn't show up, but I don't really care enough to roll just for her, especially considering the 11 roll thing is only a few months away.
  7. Jeanne's buff is interesting, and so is Helena getting a 50% battery after factoring in her Mana Tuning. I probably won't use Helena much despite the battery since I have Caster Nero, but Jeanne getting NP damage down on all targets should come in handy if the team has other NP damage debuff servants. (Another Jeanne, or, ideally, someone like Melt or Nightingale who has 50% NP down.) The defense down is great, but not having an NP battery means that she'll still be something like 30% slower than Waver just because you'll need to spend turns making Arts Chains despite the fact that the damage output during NP turns will be similar. 30% slower than Waver is a pretty great place to be, though, considering the fact that the team's basically indestructible with Jeanne in it.
  8. Oh man, the icon for extra spawn on min-Nobus is amazing. Didn't notice until now since usually it's displaying the Bond Up and Damage Up bonuses from being an event servant.
  9. Oh, wow. Vlad got a double strengthening on his NP. Only puts him up to regular post-interlude NP damage levels since he started at AoE NP damage, but it's an interesting precedent.
  10. Hmmm... Can anyone who did the event before tell me if they got the 3* CE from the first node? I believe I saw the drop screen for it, but then I checked my inventory afterwards I didn't actually get an extra copy of the CE. Edit: Oh, nevermind. The 3* CE is given in a later node. My memory is just garbage.
  11. Finally an exp campaign, now I can get rid of all the exp CEs and Valentine CEs I've been holding for like 2 months now. I don't usually leave stuff in the mail box, but right now I have like ~80 CEs in the mail on top of a completely full inventory. Strictly speaking if I moved stuff to the 2nd archive I should still have some space left over, but there's not much difference between moving all the exp CEs to the 2nd archive and leaving a bunch of valentine CEs in the mail. Also, I don't know when they added it, but the fact you can filter for CEs by what they do means it's a lot easier to separate Valentine CEs from everything else, now. Just search for CEs that do literally nothing. Now I'll just need a lottery event to refill my QP and level up the new servants I got. Not sure if I'll be rolling for MHXA. I do need a ST Beserker, but I have a decent selection of 4* ones and, while I do like MHXA's aesthetics, it's not to the point of rolling a bunch for her. For gameplay I'm probably just going to wait for Galatea. Edit: Ended up rolling for the Choco Angel CE since I needed one more to MLB. Took more than a few rolls, considering it's a 4* CE, but MHXA also came along for the ride. (Also, Yan Qing showed up twice for some reason.)
  12. Technically it took 2 attempts for the CQ. The first attempt I went in with two ST damage dealers, saw it was a 6 enemy CQ, and nope'd out immediately. (It was probably doable with my team, but I didn't feel like trying.) 2nd attempt I saw one of my friends' NP5 Kiara with the event CE, so I built a team around her and with Kama all the way in the back to close everything out. People went down but the team expected that to happen, so it wasn't really a problem.
  13. Okay, apparently my backline was pretty good after all, even if I didn't have a ST DPS to damage race. After Merlin died it was Medea Lily, and after she died it was Waver, who sped things up a lot since he had actual damage buffs to give out. (20% Atk Up from Merlin or, if you squint, the ability to clear all the offensive debuffs using Medea Lily;s NP don't really count as buffs.) Took ~180 turns and a command seal but Kama went down. Used the command seal because I was too aggressive with my cooldowns at the end, and ended up having nothing up to survive the main Kama's NP. The buffs from the last breakbar, it was just enough to tip things to the point where Jeanne and Merlin couldn't quite keep everyone topped up anymore. If they had NP2 it would've been fine, probably, but they didn't. And this picture probably shows why I don't actually use Poster Girl that much. I RNG abuse like crazy whenever I need to so that only the person I want to die dies. Once it was the final stretch I didn't need sustain anymore so Jeanne was allowed to die, but before that she was 2nd to only Shikibu in terms of who I needed to keep alive. I'm probably going to grab NP2 for Shikibu, Merlin, or Jeanne for this. If they were 4* I'd toss a grail instead, like how Medea Lily got a grail for beating no-whip Kiara, but they're 5*.
  14. This... is going to take a while. 40 turns for one break bar, gods... Still have all 3 of the permanent guts from 30 turns ago, though, so unless Kama gets some ridiculous permanent buff in the later break bars I'll kill her eventually. I'm estimating like 200-300 turns. It's no-whip Kiara all over again. Edit: 300 turns might be too optimistic, the later bars have more hp. Maybe 500 turns... Double Edit: Halfway mark, I think. Used 2 out of 3 guts in the 99 turn cd. Going to take a break because I think I've been at this for 2 hours or something already. The Damage Up buff from the 2nd break bar does surprisingly little, but if Kama gets another damage boosting buff on the last break bar it might push things over the edge. (Wish I had a maximally invested ST Berserker in the backline, now, especially if it's Hercules or something. Or at least some kind of clutch ST damage dealer to damage race the last bar.)
  15. Ugh, best I can do against full gauge Kama is 2 break bars, she's kind of a beating. I'll try Shikibu* as my DPS over Artoria next time, but later---too tired to try more. I was wondering how they'd make a CQ hard in an event with damage bonus CE, but I guess they do it by inflating hp like crazy. *Buff block on Shikibu's NP means she should be able to let me use Invul servants to tank the NP, meaning I can swap in Jeanne over Medea Lily for debuff clear. Lacking gauge drain is a slight issue, and so is the fact she hits like a wet noodle, but hopefully being AoE means that she can clear the clones fast enough to not cause problems while still damaging the main Kama. Edit: I mean, I can probably grind her down with the Artoria team if I'm willing to use 3 command seals to revive, but going that far is basically the same as throwing Saint Quartz at the problem. (It's not a CQ, so they allow revives, I believe.)
  16. Since I play on an emulator loading doesn't really bother me.* (I just alt tab and read something.) The fact that each post-node reward screen takes a few seconds for everything you get is a bit annoying, though. You always get a lantern, but you also take another... 3 seconds? or so to get whatever other thing you get. It's a minor delay, but it's just minor enough that I have to sit there doing nothing---since I don't really save time alt tabbing to read, like, 1 whole sentence before I tab back to FGO---and you run into a lot of them in the event. *Edit: If you're talking about the loading between every piece of text then it's a bit annoying, but it's only like 2s for me so I don't really mind it. I guess it's a bit weird I mind the rewards screen but not the text *shrug*. Pretty chill event overall, though, but I can tell it's probably not at all fun to binge. (Although it still beats mission events.) Doing it on natural AP regen is a lot better since I finish each day's exploration in 2 sessions.
  17. Looks like Kama's dropping tonight. I wish she didn't have such heavy overlap with Jack, but I'll probably toss some quartz at her anyway. (Wallet-kun would scream for mercy right around now, but he already bled to death.) Really wish they wouldn't start events on random weekdays, though.
  18. Regarding the CQ, I have a level 100 JAlter. And that's pretty much all there is to say. The story was short and sweet, so that was nice. Not a lot of days to grind the event, so I might have to apple if there's a lot of things in the shop I need. It's more relaxing than normal events in exchange for not having basically a dead week to rest near the end because I usually apple through them.
  19. Haven't finished grinding yet, but I don't think I'm gonna do any more for the event. All that's left in the shop are prisms, warhorse horns, and monuments. And I have 28k, 269, and [don't care] of those. All I'm going to say is that spending 1k quartz to only get 1 copy of King Protea and not even MLB 5* CE wasn't cool. (Wallet-kun is bleeding to death in the corner, but please ignore him.)
  20. ...I forgot my box is freakishly whale. Whip-only Kiara is by far the easiest out of no-whip Kiara, King Protea, and whip-only Kiara due to the fact I have a fully invested Artoria Archer and she kind of dumpsters whip-only Kiara. She went down in two attempts, and the first attempt was just me figuring out the mechanics. (I didn't do whip-only last time since no-whip took all of my free time.) A story in 5 pictures. The fact both of the Tamamos had their team NP Damage buff meant that Artoria got a bit more refill than needed, but damage wasn't an issue since I didn't need to use Plugsuit's Atk Buff, and I only would've needed it for the very first break bar.

  22. So apparently there exists 3 wave farming nodes where the third wave can have 7 mooks in it. I wonder why I didn't remember that from the last time I did SE.RA.PH.
  23. Oh man, I wish Tamamo wasn't so bad, because my best ST DPS is Artoria Archer. (As is I believe I do around 600k/turn, which is 400k/turn lower than what I'd need to kill KP in 3 turns.) Gonna test stuff like whether buff prevention and stuns prevent growth before I try and find out if I can squeeze another 400k out of my lineup. Edit: Neither stuns nor buff prevention help, which was expected, but still sad. Double Edit: Okay, from the math it looks like double Tamamo & perfect draws (including servants dying so I can redraw my Arts cards) is barely enough to squeeze out a 3 turn kill. I guess I'll set aside a few hours to pray to RNJesus. Later, though, gonna play more Genshin Impact. Triple Edit: You know the saddest thing I found out? I think NP5 Herc kills KP in 3 turns without even trying as long as he has max grails and fou's. (And it's probably doable without that much investment as long as you get good RNG.) X4 Edit: Things I learned over 2 hours of trying to 3T protea. Bunyan is a better support than Merlin. Cons: Worse numbers on Crit & Buster. (100%/50% vs. 20%/20%) Protection against AoE thanks to 2nd skill. Pros: Dies in a single turn if she's holding GGPS---KP only getting 2 attacks turn 1 sucks for getting non-Bunyans killed. (So she secretly has a third skill that swaps her with someone in the back line, which is stronger than anything Merlin can bring to the table, because she can bring Merlin to the table if you wanted to.) Amazing star weight that allows any type of DPS to grab stars without needing star weight buffs. X5 Edit: I give up, RNJesus bested me. (I need to draw double Quick on Atalanta Alter, who only has two quick cards, two turns in a row to kill KP in 3 turns.) I'll just go arts stall with Artoria Waver and Jeanne. X6: And... of course arts stall obliterates KP. (Took two stacks of KP's debuff before I can OTKO, but the team could stall more or less indefinitely if I had to.) Fight felt a lot like no-whip Kiara, except Medea Lily isn't as useful. The fact that I lack a invested Beserker is painfully obvious, though, since even something as simple as a max grailed Herc could probably walk all over KP rather than the massive amounts of hoops I had to jump through to try---and fail---to get a level 80 Beserker to 3T KP. Too bad you can only run once, else I'd keep praying to RNJesus with my spare AP.
  24. ...The fact I don't get to use HCA story support for all of the Cage disappoints me. Been pretty busy with other things meant I haven't even made it to KP yet, only at 6/10. (Just running double Skadi + AoE DPS after Hans disappeared---Achilles + Nero Caster in the back is pretty consistent since Nero smacks any Assassins Achilles can't handle.) Should be able to get to KP by tomorrow, though, which will leave next weekend free for Kiara.
  25. Ah yes, the legendary 10 turn farming run, brought to you by an all +2 Sakura Chip team (except for Nero Bride) combined with all event CEs. In retrospect I should've used Tamamo Cat or Drake in place of Nero, but oh well. Not sure what my free time's gonna look like, but since I already did no whip Kiara last time around I guess I'll try doing Whip Only straight off the bat once I unlock it. (Too bad you can't go back to no-whip after buying the whip, because no-whip is pretty interesting itself, even if it takes forever to do.)
