  1. How does a gwendy with quick riposte and bonfire sound? she already has a killer lance so -1 to proc, so counter would start at 2, taking an attack would send it to one, first counter attack would ready it, second one activates and she has a very nice defense. Or might there be a better unit for this sort of combination? EDIT: Thanks for link!
  2. Just gonna put it out there since I think having a definitive list would be nice finding out what targets the AI prioritizes would make it a lot easier to deal with some of those 5 star maps. I've noticed things like you can use a disadvantaged unit to bait enemies across the map as they will be targeted before they are even in range. So far I've noticed the AI usually, try to get type advantage, will never ignore a unit, also like to target units which can't counter attack, and they like to finish units off. But I'm not sure what order the game prioritizes these things in. An example situation of what I'm wondering about is: Say there is an enemy with a hammer, within their range you have a lance cavalry unit, an axe armor, a mage without close counter, and a unit with low hp who is the only one that will be knocked out should they be attacked. Who will the AI go for? Why might this be nice? If type advantage has priority over knockouts, you don't have to worry about losing a weakened unit left within enemy range if you also leave a type disadvantaged unit within their range. (Although I don't think type advantage has priority over knockouts, being unable to counter attack might, so a tanky mage/archer/thief could take a hit instead of losing a unit)
  3. I'm probably going to go with Palla, if she's that unpopular I might win lots of ranking feathers since it goes off of just who's in the army, then I can tag along with whoever for the round victory feathers.
  4. I saw three greens and two blues, I never thought it would be this bad.
  5. This one plz. Ishtar is fantastic, and absolutely deserves Camus status, I'll just be sad though because they'll nerf her tome like they nerfed the Tyrfing.
  6. Raven has had a sword the entire time (it's just sitting there on his belt). I want him to use it.
  7. Now I can't stop imagining Sonia in an Angel costume and a look of absolute disgust and misery on her face. Would be just too funny. EDIT: I really hope people from IS browse these forums, but just in case they don't, I'm going to use the feedback feature in FE Heroes.
  8. I definitely want more Genealogy and Thracia characters. Arvis Summer BBQ plz Who else would you want to see and what sort of silly event would you want to see them in?
  9. I know, Elise looks like 12, but apparently she's older than Effie
  10. Does anyone else see a really bad joke with Xander trying to impale stab people with a carrot? The carrot is larger than his head for goodness sake! I... just... can't...
  11. generally the placements are fairly similar between the maps, usually If your units start in a vertical line then the leftmost member will be on the top, and rightmost will be on the bottom. If the units start horizontally then the leftmost member of the team will be farthest to the left and the rightmost member will spawn farthest to the right. This wasn't always how it went, but since the arena update where your whole team is always together this is what happens.
  12. Gotta treat it like Thracia, unit order in the team decides placement on the map, might want to play around with it until you find the setup that puts you in the best position the most often. And what do I do? I make a square (or a line if a square isn't possible) to abuse blade spells on turn 1, then I 1 shot whatever is in range using ranged cavalry units. I don't even think its fair.
  13. I think everything except the visible buffs are stack-able. So Defiant Attack and Hone Attack can't stack, but Hone Attack, Death Blow, and Goad Cavalry would all combine. The only thing I'm not sure about is if something like Goad Cavalry can stack with itself or just other buffs. It may be that all invisible buffs can stack with themselves, which would be pretty cool. EDIT: Oh you already answered my question and I missed it, whoops.
  14. No Azama, but maybe Matthew? I'm glad you mentioned the shards, I would have never thought of them, this is why I need help.
  15. Subaki's level is higher than his attack... This is going to be an uphill battle just getting Subaki to 4*. I also noticed that Ardent Sacrifice + Wings of Mercy allows for a few mean tricks with controlled hp reduction. Maybe a hone attack from Olivia or Barst to speed things up? Maybe if I give Florina a Renewal from Lissa she can use Ardent Sacrifice a bit more often?
  16. Since I have the cavalry quest out of the way and I don't even have enough armour for that quest I figure I better do fliers and hope there're no archers. I'm looking for a little advice on putting a team together since I have a few choices. Fliers I have (who are around the appropriate level) are: Est, Palla, Florina, Beruka, and Narcian. (all 4*) There is also that 2* Subaki but training him is painful with his low attack I figure I ought to include as many colors as possible so Palla's gotta go in, but then I'm not sure in regards to Narcian vs Beruka and I'm not sure if Subaki is worth it. What do you think?
  17. I said square because that with 2 Hone Cavalry diagonal from one another and 2 Protect Cavalry is optimal to maximize everyone's attack, a congo line works fairly well and with that set up and would still allow for 2 units to have a pretty much guaranteed OHKO, and forming a line is easily done on any map. The only map that gives me trouble with what I have is the map where you start at the bottom and there are mountains blocking everything except for two paths, one of the paths is blocked by a tree, and the last path is on the far left. (If only I had a picture...) Honestly with what I have if either buffing unit dies it falls apart, so I do like your idea if they all have Hone Cavalry losing one doesn't hurt you too much, but most of the time its important to not lose any units for something like these quests, the arena, or grand hero battles. So I think your idea would actually make a far better defensive arena team than my idea since I don't think the AI knows how to abuse blade spells and buffs. But generally I trust myself (at least a little bit) to outplay the AI.
  18. Maybe red tomebreaker or swordbreaker to help cover reds and protect Nino? I would pick something that complements your team, for example smite is fantastic if you have armored units, or even if you want to give infantry a little boost to their movement range, but is better suited for more aggressive play. And you did say you wanted to be more passive, I would think you only ought to use Reciprocal Aid once in a match, so if you're passive enough to have a match last longer than needing one full heal I'd say take Draw Back over Reciprocal Aid, but if you're going to try and end matches quickly I'd take Reciprocal Aid as a quick boost to keep fighting.
  19. Eliwood's ward cavalry ability does not turn into damage when combined with a blade spell, just in case that's what you were thinking. The perfect setup would be to have two units that have hone cavalry and two units that have protect cavalry, and everyone has a blade spell. an example would be Leo + Ursula + Cecilia + Reinhardt, with the blades and C passives inherited onto them, position them into a square then bring down your wrath upon the AI with a flurry of OHKOs. But I don't know who would have all of those units and the necessary sacrifices. Certainly not I.
  20. Cavalry quest seems pretty easy to me, but I'm abusing blade spells and skill inheritance. Good news is 3/4 units I'm using are free so the team is very easy to copy.
  21. Ah, thanks! It's good to know rarity contributes a bit more across levels. Also I noticed all units gained as rewards through hero battles, and now quest rewards as well, are guaranteed to be neutral with regards to boons/banes hope that little bit of info helps in the long run.
  22. I've noticed the stat difference of a level 40 4 star character compared to a 5 star version of the same one at the same level is different by at least 7-8 points, has anyone else seen anything suggesting that the growth rates improve the higher a character's rarity, almost in a way similar to the way boons and banes work on stats?
  23. Greetings! Most simply call me J0 My first encounter with Fire Emblem was in Super Smash Brothers Melee. I generally enjoy things having to do with the medieval ages (I consider Fire Emblem to be a sort of Fantasy Medieval Europe), and am attempting to become proficient with as many pieces of the medieval arsenal as possible through Historical European Martial Arts. I look forward to participating in discussion on Fire Emblem games and having a good time with the community!
