No DLC-grinding. Is training children impossible without dlc grinding? It's been forever since I played this game.

If I were to do a lunatic playthrough with ChromxAvatar (thus getting Morgan and Lucina), and only one additional pairing, which pairing would you guys suggest? Is only one other pairing optimal for Lunatic? It's my first time attempting that difficulty, and I want to keep my army small. Would two additional pairings be better?

For a lunatic runthrough in which I don't care about postgame, should I go with male or female MU?

I took Ashera's tiny Magic stat as being a representation of how weak the gods really are behind their façade. Of course, her weapon has like, 50 might to make up for it.

That's pretty specific, unfortunately.

Here's my two cents which may perhaps help the discussion move forward, or let a final decision to be made: I agree with RFof and Anouleth saying that Oliver will never, ever be deployed in Endgame. I comprehend what Radiant Dragon is arguing (Oliver's endgame performance vs Lyre/Fiona throughout their respective chapters), but the simple fact is that Oliver is only ever used in normal runs as a gimmick unit, and in efficiency runs, he has no chance of being fielded at all. Like RD pointed out, there is an enormous list of better options available options for endgame. Oliver has 0% chance of being used, which is worse than Lyre and Fiona being used in maybe one chapter.

Do you guys think Id be able to pull of a no-penalty clear of 2-E in under 6 turns, using my team of Brom, Lethe and Calill? That Elincia penalty really stings and I dont want to have to use her considering I have 3 units at the ready...

It's more about the psychological aspect of the average player not wanting to sell items (especially cool Killer/Brave weapons) for half their value, and also wanting a 'balanced' team that incorporates all the main weapon types.

Yeah, Fiona's super-shittiness made me hate 1-6-2.

I don't think people go for 'all SS weapons', but at the very least, they like to have at least one user of swords/axes/lances/bows. It's not just because of SS weapons, but because if you don't use one of those weapon types, you end up with a bunch of useless weapons in your convoy that you have to sell for half their value.

If you're crazy enough to slather toothpaste onto a game disc, then you'll probably believe that trying a second time will magically fix it.
