I'm currently doing a True Classic run of Awakening, and I'm wondering which promotion I should give Lissa. War Cleric has somewhat better skills, as well as access to axes (which I sorely need; Vaike died and my only axe users currently are Fredrick and Cerche), while Sage has better magic and gives her a weapon that capitalizes on her best stat. What do you think? (I'm kind of leaning towards Sage)

Well, my only option is pretty clear now. I just realized: Deliverer only works if the user is in a Pair Up...which True Classic prohibits. Wyvern Lord it is!

True, but this is a True Classic run; I can't reclass her.
Additionally, I'd like to point out that Cerche is my only real hope for a good axe user, since Vaike died and Fredrick is losing usefulness.

I'm doing a True Classic run of Fire Emblem: Awakening, and I don't know what to promote Cerche into. What are your thoughts?

Massively buff Gerik's speed base, cap, and growth, but lower his constitution to 9. Then, he will truly lack the proper con to wield axes!

In my view, Anime is just a term for Japanese animation, no more, no less. Sure, there are tropes and connotations attributed to Anime, like shonen protagonists, overly long action sequences, and fanservice, but it's the same for "Cartoons." When you think cartoons, you think zany slapstick humor, weird and wonderful sound effects, and even orchestral soundtracks. Still, Batman: The Animated Series is as much of a cartoon as much as Hello Kitty's Paradise is an anime. So, no, Fire Emblem isn't "anime." It's a Japanese Video Game series.
I mean, I totally agree that it has plenty of Anime tropes in later titles. Especially the second listed one.

In an attempt to increase my productivity, I have started a new Fanfiction, Excerpts From A Tactician's Journal, a series of journal entries written by my avatar based on my current playthrough of Awakening, a True Classic semi-Ironman (it started out as an Ironman, but I eventually just gave up). It updates every Monday, until I catch up with the game.

Well, there is such a thing as a True Classic run. I'm doing one currently, and I've been struggling (not in a bad way, though).

It's kind of rude, I feel. I personally, got into the franchise though Awakening (well, more accurately through Smash Bros; my first ever game was technically FE7 from the eshop), and I wouldn't want to be called a "Baby" because I was too young to understand the sophisticated elements of the Fire Emblem series beforehand. Seriously, Awakening came out when I was 9.

So far, I have Tharja, Henry, and my Avatar (in both senses of the word). Tharja is doing the best for herself so far, with enough speed to double enemies fairly consistently, but all three are performing quite well for themselves.
