  1. I'm Oz. I like to write. I'm going to school for it. I have an ao3! I do commissions, too. My info is in my signature. This is an Ike/Summoner (from Heroes) support. [Y/N] means your name, since the summoner is like an insert of the player? I guess. The support is in the spoiler.
  2. Hi! I just want to know: Can I hack FE14 to make my MU a wolfskin?
  3. COLORS - Code Geass Danganronpa 3 - Despair Side OP White Light - DN Angel HOLOGRAM - Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood
  4. This ^^^ When you compliment someone and they immediately make 10000 excuses as to why they don't deserve your compliment. LIKE JUST TAKE IT!!!!!!
  5. I was an art major for two years, until this winter when I switched to writing. References are not cheating. Countless professional artists use references. References are best taken from real life images. There are countless deviantart profiles and tumblr blogs solely dedicated to providing references. There are a lot of artists who prefer to take their own reference photographs, which certainly can be helpful! I'd suggest doing that whenever you can. There are also reference books for anatomy, costumes, poses, animals... really anything you could want. References are tools for creating art, because not everyone has a photographic memory. References are artistic tools, just like a pencil, pen, marker, etc! Tracing is cheating. Copying someone else's artwork directly is also cheating (in my opinion), because their drawing is their artistic vision. There are artists who create/draw "bases", which are also really useful. I suggest only copying artwork directly if it is meant to be copied. Art like THIS is usually meant to be copied. Art like THIS is not meant to be copied. I always suggest using photos, rather than using drawings. There are plenty of good stock photo accounts on deviantart, tumblr, etc. Using actual photos usually makes the anatomy easier, too. So, use references. There are plenty of great places to find them. You just gotta do some digging. SenshiStock is a great resource for human poses.
  6. Libra isn't an option, so I refuse to vote!! For gals, I love Panne.
  7. Praying for Haikyuu!! season 4, looking forward to season 3 of My Hero Academia. I'll probably check out Violet Evergarden. Nothing else in the 2018 winter season really appeals to me.
  8. Everyone hates Pieri, and they definitely have plenty of reasons to. She was a poorly-written character, to begin with. I really like her for her design (really nice armor + I love the cotton candy hair), but I like her because of her potential. It's kind of weird to explain, but I like the way I headcanon her/write her?
  9. This, too! I've seen a lot of fans gripe about the impractical armor designs for the female characters, especially in newer games. There's some of it I really agree with, such as wishing Camilla at least had pants in her wyvern riding sprites. ;; Or the cavalier models having pants and wearing more than thongs. I really didn't like those parts of the designs, but only because the male characters of the same class would receive PANTS. Don't get me wrong! I really like fanservice-y outfits! Thigh high stockings n skirts are really cool. And I get that Fates tends to go by anime/JRPG logic. But it was kind of upsetting to see the differences between the male and female outfits for certain classes. I'm actually fine with the female Nohr Noble and Adventurer outfits. And I think they handled the Hero, Troubadour, and Sorcerer classes really well. Just please... let the cavaliers and wyvern riders wear pants. As long as every female character isn't fanservice-bait, then it's fine with me.
  10. Shapeshifters are my absolute favorite classes to use in Fire Emblem! I've always loved human-like characters with animal features. And I also really like niche/out-there RPG classes, too. The taguel are my favorite FE class, even though they're not the most optimal. I just really like their design! And I love rabbits. Panne also was a character who really appealed to me. She's probably my favorite FE character! I really enjoyed Panne and Yarne in Awakening, as well as Tiki! I simply wish that the taguel were developed more. Though, that's what fanfiction + headcanons are for, I guess! I would have liked to see a male manakete, though. ;; In Fates, I really liked both of Flannel's designs, humanoid and shapeshifter. I really liked the transformed wolfskin design, even with their yeti-like features. Someone wrote a pretty interesting post on that HERE. I've never played Tellius! But I love the herons! Bird shapeshifters that are kind of like the dancer class? A+! Really neat.
  11. This is a really interesting question! Like a few users stated earlier, the majority of gamers are male. I think the amount of female gamers out there gets underestimated. However, I think it'd be wise and interesting to look at the male to female ratio by genre, instead of as a whole. Quantic Foundry put out a really interesting piece about female to male ratio by genre, which is HERE if anyone would like to read it! I think the gender gap has to do with a few, different things. A lot of video games aimed towards girls had to do with fashion/cooking/etc, and most of them weren't all too engrossing. I used to know a few different girls who exclusively played those types of games when they were younger, and eventually stopped gaming as they got older. I think that how much parents initially support someone's gaming hobby can also influence it? As FE has a really big adult/early adult audience, I'm unsure of how many female players were really encouraged to play FE and other strategy games like it. If someone's parents never really buy them video games when they're younger, then maybe they're likelier to lose their interest. Maybe this happens with female players? My parents were always very supportive of my hobbies when I was younger and bought me games for my birthday/other occasions. A lot of female gamers also tend to stay quiet about their sex, in order to avoid discrimination. I've experienced that kind of bad behavior before, and it was really hurtful. So I don't blame them. Female players especially experience discrimination in FPS games, too. Some male gamer scan view female gamers as "rare, special unicorns" and try and harass them for their numbers, or things like that. Though, this is rarer these days, I find. I'm female and I got into FE by chance. One of my friends bought me Awakening for my birthday a few years ago! I greatly enjoyed it, as it was like nothing I had ever played before. Though, I'm just spit-balling, here! None of my words are meant to be spiteful or offensive or anything!! My thoughts are rather messy on this subject, too.
  12. Chrom: Olivia because of Inigo's resemblance to him. Inigo and Lucina make really good siblings, too. Olivia and Chrom are both so fumbling when it comes to relationships and affection. I also feel like Olivia's gentle attitude would make her a really good queen, because she's usually pretty level-headed. The Ylissean people would really like her, I think. I also enjoy pairing Chrom and Maribelle because Brady as a royal is amazing. Maribelle would be a really good queen because she's really motivated about getting things done. She's also compassionate towards the struggles of the lower classes, a trait which would probably cause her to push policies for equal punishment/taxing. M!Robin: Panne, purely because she's my favorite character. I think Robin would help her grow accustomed to living near humanity (reassure her if she has nightmares/doubts about her past, too). And I think that Panne would be able to get Robin to take a break if he's working himself too hard. F!Robin: Libra. A man wholly devoted to serving Naga marrying the vessel of Grima is an interesting dynamic. Libra isn't the most popular character out there, but he has a lot of depth to him that I can appreciate. He stays with Robin despite her existence as Grima's avatar and looks passed it, accepting her for who she actually is instead of the grim legacy she carries with that title. Lucina: Yarne or Gerome. Pairing her with Gerome makes them a definite power couple that no one will want to mess with. But her relationship with Yarne inspires him to grow as an individual and help protect her + the other people he cares about.
  13. Taguel, but with improved development. Or any type of beast shapeshifter. They're so underrated but they're so much fun to use. Maybe something like the Heron class, instead of dancers? That could be interesting. I would also love to see the return of the Butler/Maid classes. AND DARK FLIER. Bring Dark Flier back as a regular class, please.
  14. It's not bad for someone to get into Fire Emblem because they've played Smash and are curious about the characters. That's the entire reason I'm into FE, now. Ike has always been my favorite character to play. I can't get to his games right now because of time constraint/limited resources, but he's a huge part of why I played FE in the first place. Smash definitely boosted interest in Fire Emblem, which really isn't a bad thing. The more popular a series gets, the more content is released for it. I can't really say too much about Lyn, but I remember liking Ike in Smash because of play-style and aesthetic. Only after I watched a few playthroughts of Path of Radiance did I really grow to like him as the character he genuinely is. I've always been a sucker for beefcakes, too. STRONG.
  15. I like this. Perhaps having her become a more bloodthirsty person due to the loss of her status and wealth would have made more sense! It probably would have motivated her to learn how to fight and kill. Especially with the added trauma of her mother's death. Xander, seeing her skill, would take an interest in her because he values her skills and doesn't want to see them wasted, when they could be used for Nohr's benefit. Does that make sense?
