  1. lol @ people listing FE7 as overrated. Most fans hate the fuck out of it. Overrated: FE6 Underrated: FE7 /troll
  2. oh, mmk. First draft I've done so thanks for the info.
  3. Why does the fifth person get two picks in advance?
  4. The Bible is just reflective of the morals and fear shared by the society it was written in. It's like trying to quote the framers of America for directly situational issues, except somehow more out of place.
  5. If he tracks his progress,t hen we should be able to at least make educated guesses as to what his score would be. By the by, I'll have to take a picture of my (pathetic) HNM score as of now and then post my new score by the end of this. I shouldn't have any trouble beating it.
  6. It's in the ending, right when the game does the battle records.
  7. The one to the left pretty much OHKOs Vanessa unless she's been stupidly high leveled, iirc. I never use her, so I could be speaking out my ass, though.
  8. I was actually meaning to refer to the whole Bartre > Dorcas idea. If he's just using Dorcas early on then cool shit, but I dunno why he'd go for him first.
  9. Rescue dropping with Vanessa isn't possible because of the ballistae (assuming Ch. 9 is Waterside Renvall).
  10. SHHHHHHHHHH don't tell them to not sell shit son. Winning this'd be cool. Also, the only possible reason someone'd want to use Dorcas is for either A Oswin (lol supports in a ranked run) or his nearly isolated (save Hector) usage of axes early on.
  11. If he's taking Dorcas, I'll take Eliwood.
  12. It's really not at all. People choose to wearing unfashionable clothing. Does that mean that people who would enact laws against those very same people are just?
  13. Alcoholism is something that one adapts to after becoming a consistent drinker. An action (drinking) is required before one can be an alcoholic. One cannot be an alcoholic without having ingested alcohol at some point in his/her life and becoming physically and/or emotionally and/or mentally addicted to it. The cause comes before the effect. Homosexuality is something that describes a person who is sexually attracted to people of the same gender. There is not any action required (such as sex, masturbation, etc.) for one to still be defined as a homosexual. There isn't necessarily a defining action to still be considered gay, as it's something that's not dependent on one's actions; it's dependent on one's own sexuality, an interior aspect, as opposed to an action, which is an exterior aspect (note: this has nothing to do with nature vs. nurture). The effect comes before the cause. These comparisons are not congruent at all. That, and I'm not even sure what you're trying to say if we are assuming your argument is valid. Even if homosexuality was a sin that people knowingly chose, are you saying that governmental rights should be restricted solely on how virtuous you are? If that were the case, the government would have to sort amongst all morality in the nation and then divvy up states to decide morality and such so that everyone who truly "deserves" rights would get them, and all the sinners would get nothing. The government gets to act as the modern-day shaman to decide who gets civil rights and who doesn't in this scenario, nothing short of a diviner interpreting God's will. Is this what you say is ideal? Is this what should logically follow? But, since I'm a jerk, I want to attack your beliefs and just ask some probing questions: if homosexuality is something that is adapted to, how do you explain teenagers who have never had any sexual contact that still define themselves as homosexuals? How do you explain homosexuality in animals (which, iirc, are assumed to not have free will by the Christian religion)? How would you, without a doubt, be able to prove to me that homosexuality is a choice and not a genetic (and possibly nurtured) sexual preference? As much as I'm being hostile with these questions, I do sincerely want genuine answers to these.
  14. You can check in any battle preparation screen.
  15. Are you talking about measuring the difference between star rankings for each chapter or something? Like seeing improvements or declines from chapter to chapter? If that's the case, I'm willing to do enough photos lol.
  16. Do we have to use a ROM? Preferably, I'd use my DS and I could just take pics with my DSI to verify star counts chapter-by-chapter.
  17. IMO Father and Son > Queen of White Dunes. Ephraim's mode is actually fun and interesting, whereas Eirika's is just monster chapter monster chapter oh joy. Also, Joshua and Cormag get better quotes for Scorched Sand, which is nice. The only thing Ephraim's mode is missing is the Joshua subplot, but the game practically made the plot deaths entirely irrelevant, instead of in Ephraim mode where killing Selena is somewhat significant with all things considered. Oh, and Ephraim > Eirika, son. It's just preference, I know, but meh.
  18. You know, it defeats the point of having spoiler tags if you don't bother to list which game they spoil. [spoiler=The World Ends With You]When Joshua sacrifices himself at the end of week 2. It's just so incredibly sad that he was willing to die for Neku's cause and ideals... [spoiler=Ending]even though he didn't [spoiler=Final Fantasy V]Faris finding out that she was Lenna's sister. I'd put Galuf's death but shit was so spoiled that I couldn't be as taken by surprise from it. It was still sad though. [spoiler=Fire Emblem]Uther's death in Hector mode, including the reactions to it. It was such a "holy fuck I detect great writing Batman" moment. [spoiler=Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance (lol why am I spoilering FE games) Hearing Life Returns for the first time was just... I honestly was taken aback by how well that story was concluded and how much satisfying finality was given. [spoiler=Phantasy Star Online]If you read all the Red Ring Rico logs throughout the game, Dark Falz becomes an incredibly depressing and tragic fight. The Ultimate Ending to Episode 2 is just sad beyond words as well. [spoiler=Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia]Shanoa smiling for Albus was heartwarming, if not tear-inducing as well. [spoiler=Kingdom Hearts]You're a fucking liar if you played the game and didn't love the credits. As sad as the ending was, it just felt perfect and complete. I still get chills when I listen to , I swear.[spoiler=Kingdom Hearts 2]Axel's death after playing 358/2 Days. At first I thought it was just a contrivance, but after seeing why he did it... [spoiler=Kingdom Hearts: 358/2 Days]Oh god, the entire plot was just depressing as fuck. That ending... Wow. [spoiler=Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney]The ending to the fourth case. It takes all of my willpower to not cry to that from how heartwarming it is. [spoiler=Pokemon Mystery Dungeon 2: Explorers of Sky]I CRIED AT THE END OF THIS I AM NOT AFRAID TO ADMIT IT HOLY JESUS CHRIST POKEMON SHOULD NOT BE ALLOWED TO MAKE ME THIS SAD [spoiler=Trauma Center: Under the Knife 2]I guffaw'd when I realized that Derek had finally overcome his GUILT as a doctor. [spoiler=Phantasy Star Universe]Playing this song after when you had to kill Dr. Taragi... The scene with him dying next to Maya... Powerful and impacting shit right there. Mirei's death was also pretty damn sad, if only because of how pure and genuine she was. [spoiler=Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 3]So many fucking examples. The most notable that come to mind are when Yukari sees her dad die, when everyone sees Mitsuru break down after seeing her father die, and Chidori's sacrifice for Junpei. [spoiler=Soul Calibur series]The entire story behind Siegfried is remarkably sad, yet well written. He carries the burden of killing his father, unleashing a deep evil persona upon the world, murdering hundreds, and all he wants to do is kill himself and Soul Edge at the same time so he can stop the evil. It got to me when I actually realized that. [spoiler=Super Metroid]Of course it's going to be the death of the baby Metroid. You don't have a soul if you ry to tell me that you didn't feel awful after that.
  19. Eirika's route is just awful. Do Ephraim's because it's actually decent.
  20. Explain how I'm overreaching. I'm not saying some crazy utopian society should be actualized, I'm saying that it's a contemporary issue that needs attention before it's swept under the rug. Laws have had to be rewritten before and people have survived, I don't see what the issue is here. Also, yes, srsly. If a religion has the power to empower, restrict, or even have any influence amongst a government at all, that's a theocracy. The fact that the Church is able to restrict rights to a demographic of people due to religious/miscellaneous reasons fits into that category. If the Church was just the middle man in this situation, then it wouldn't qualify, but that's not the case. The Church is actively picking and choosing who they allow to have more rights, giving a basis in the government, whether or not we like it. Fact of the matter is that marriage needs to either lose the rights that it gives in favor of civil unions or just be put entirely in the hands of the state government (which I'm doubting churches would want). tl;dr: shit you got me
  21. Every FE forum I've been to referred to SF jokingly and even mockingly, so I doubt I'd get any trafficking.
  22. zzzzz he only appears when you attack Makoya. He only moves three spaces per turn unless he can reach a unit. He's honestly not difficult to avoid by any stretch of the imagination.
