  1. Ouch, damn, forgot to read this in time to tell you about the sword before the Baramos fight. Well apparently I think that's included for all versions of the game, and the sword that you'll receive from the King if you solo'd Baramos with the Hero only is called the 'Bastard Sword' dunno how it's called in this translated version, which is pretty damn powerful for your Hero to equip over the Thunder Sword, but I think you could get it from a shop in Alefgard not too late into the game, so no worries. I had to level grind up to about 55 in order to solo Baramos with only the Hero anyway because that prick can double attack you for some good damage and you have to alternate between lots of healbotting and occasional attacking if you want the sword that badly. But oh well. Another thing I notice in comparison to the GBC version of DQ III is that when Zoma introduces himself at the castle, some hologram of his face is shown, which I find pretty cool, in the GBC version it's just his actual model you encounter in his castle standing behind the Throne which indicates he can somehow use Warp magic yet decides not to kill off the Hero while he's right there! Also SNES has sexy Mode 7 while flying, GBC obviously doesn't. Oh well, keep continuing, really enjoying this.
  2. I've got this game since Saturday, but couldn't play it until last night because I don't have a Wii Motion Plus purchased. Now that I did, so far I think the game is pretty promising so far. I like the idea of being able to travel far more easily between the surface world and Skyloft through those bird statues in case you need to replenish on bottles or equipment, and I just completed the first dungeon in the game. The combat system is much more relying on counter-attacking and slashing in openings in the enemies' defenses compared to previous Zelda games, and so far the puzzles don't disappoint either. I did just barely beat the first boss because I almost had no clue how to counter-attack him, but I'll wait and see how the rest plays out. And for those stuck on the game there's also apparently a Sheikah Stone similar to OoT 3DS in it which can provide hints in case you're stuck, but I haven't had any need of it so far.
  3. Ah this far in the LP already I see? Good to see you're doing so well so far. When I first played DQ3 I had a hard ass time getting the last Orb from near the volcano in that cave place, because that dungeon if I recall correctly introduces those Shadow enemies who I believe were originally only vulnerable to magic attacks only and they cast instant death spells on the whim of a dime. Oh, and did you know you can get a free sword if you solo'd the ''final boss''? I managed to somehow do it on my first run of the game and lots of grinding.
  4. Maji, I hope you didn't forget to pick up the Lote's shield close to the seizable gate. Also when I first played this, I also thought: WTF is he talking about? There's nothing bad with the items I buy at the armory!' Also I guess those 4 Dracoknights were probably smart enough to not move given how being lured ends up terrible for them, oh well, free stuff for you. Can't wait for next chapter when vikings start harassing lil' kids.
  5. Hello there, nice to meet you! Hope you'll enjoy it in here.

  6. Okay, will try out those suggestions, thanks for them.
  7. I've been doing a first attempt playthrough of FE6, and I've been having trouble with either keeping all of my units or Zealot's group alive. The enemy comes in a large group storming mainly with Javelin's, and soon one of the 2 Wyvern Riders come down to also attack the group, and my party mainly consists of Lance, Allen, Rutger, Wolt, Lugh, and Ellen and Saul as the healers. Should I retry the game from the beginning and focus on leveling up other units, or is there a possibly better way to ensure that Zealot's group doesn't kill themselves?
  8. Well, that's more or less because I like the British pronounciation of it, like a very old game from Rare called Sabre Wulf, hence my nickname on here. And don't worry guys, I do take my posts seriously.
  9. Hello there, folks. The name's Moonwulf, and I've recently gotten into Fire Emblem, being introduced to it like probably all other 95% of the western population by Super Smash Bros. Melee and Brawl, and bought like a few weeks ago a used copy of Shadow Dragon, AKA FE11, and whilst browsing for some hints on the game's secrets, I found this site. Nice to meet you all here.
