  1. -So-so growths, with 45% in both strength and speed, 30% in resistance and luck, and 35% on defense, but he'll usually turn out great. -Earth affinity support for dodging and is a fast choice with Ike. -Mounted -Is available for most of the game except for chapters 3 and 4. 9/10. Also a great brother, and fights with his eyes closed. Now that's badass.
  2. 1: Amazing stats 2: high weapon levels, sadly not as l33t as FE7 Marcus, only C in lances, what?!! 3: Not too shabby growths 4: Mounted 5: Tit(s)ania. 9/10 because of lance rank.
  3. Thanks for the birthday greetings, everyone. I appreciate it alot.

  4. All the above comments speak for itself. 1/10 Because he can triangle attack, but who would ever want to train 2 other bad knights up for that job?
  5. Ah crap, I forgot to keep track of this. Anyway, good process so far, and glad to see you're still in one piece. Again, my apologies for not keeping track of this. Also small correction in the book 2 chapter 12 epilogue: 'And this shield, as told by Jeigan in B1Ch19 keeps these dragons sleeping,' It was Morodorf, that advisor guy nobody remembers who told Marth about it before he went on a nice vacation to Jugdral.
  6. So you didn't bother with finding all the items in this chapter in the long run then? Also brace yourselves for the most annoying Dragon-based chapter in this one, or at least the start of it is.
  7. Looking forward to the next chapter where we'll see you handle Gluttonous Gheb and prevent the rape!
  8. Just tested it out, they give you the usual 30 or so EXP from killing one of them when they're neutral, just informing
  9. Wow, nearly half-way done with the chapter already? Nice going there. Also how are the 2 dungeons in Alena's chapter a pain, I guess cheap enemies who like to spam Sleep?
  10. Hey, glad to see this updated again. Did you kill off all the neutral enemy units that don't attack on their own anymore after you got Ellerean recruited for easy EXP? And lol at the repeating of the Ellerean Extermintion exactly the same amount his crit. chance.
  11. How many reinforcement Heroes/Snipers did you manage to kill, of any? You went through this quickly.
  12. Nice inserting of Hyadain's video there. If I recall right he did a video of every chapter except the main hero ones, I guess you're psoting them all in it? And I wonder, judging by the sword's name, is the Sword of Malice actually cursed? Well, looking forward to Chapter 2: 'Sorry, but our princess isn't in this castle anymore!'
  13. Oh, it gets much worse later on indeed. Unless your name is Star and Life Orb
  14. Ragnar's chapter usually is fairly easy to me with auto-healing and not too difficult first boss if you just grind up a bit. I also love how much children you save at the end to really make it all rewarding what you go through. Oh well manly pink-clad Luigi beats the shit out of some fart next update.
  15. Ah, glad tae see youse 'ave undertooken the task of Lut's Plee-ing, Droigon Warrier 4, trulae a great game, and I betche 'der won't be ane stroinge accen's gaein' on in this version 'o dae game. Okay, back to normal since I can't keep up with the Artepiazza-translation for the DS version. Glad to see you starting off this game. I believe Ragnar is a solid enough damage dealer in your party later on, but you get him the last out f all the characters and at a point where it's about halfway over the game if I'm right. You also forgot one thing in the comparisons between NES/DS if I recall right: 4: Your team members upon reaching the 5th chapter where Kang gets his turn, are all auto-AI controlled in NES version, and stick to patterns, most famous example being Kiryl who loves to spam Beat/Defeat on everything, especially bosses.
  16. Damn, sorry, Maji, was too busy with personal stuff that I forgot to frequent this. But glad to see that you fully completed it. Isn't there another reward from the God Dragon to open a portal at where you got the flying bird to hatch? I got that option on the GBC version, so I guess the GBC version has another bonus dungeon, but that one is hell. Why? Because in orer to fuly complete that one you have to have bronze and silver medals of nearly EVERY monster in the game, as there are 2 gates that require you to have those. Medals are just fairly pointless portrait coins of the monsters you beat that happen to be obtained per chance at the end of a fight, and you only get bronze versions of them until you collected at least 2 bronze ones, then you can get Silver ones from them, and then gold ones. You can trade them at the Dharma shrine. (That place where you can reclass your characters) but it's such a boring hassle, I barely got myself to finish that. Can't wait until 4, man.
  17. Say Maji, how exactly did you deal with the reinforcement swarm in chapter 6? I just out-tanked them because otherwise I'd be fucked from both sides eventually. Also, did you know about there being a reblow staff below the cave on the left? Only problem is, you'd face off against a dragon that spawns there when you approach it.
  18. Hmm, hope you abused the viking spawning in chapter 4 to your advantage for level ups as well. And Yumina's Rescue staff has 5 uses, so that means you have to use it mandatory for like 3 times to get a perfect ending. The next chapter you're going to do was a true bitch to me. I had to resort to massive tanking with Oguma and Melissia and Yumina behind her to hold out against the army reinforcements in the upper right hallway of one space big. Looking forward to how you're going to handle it.
  19. Let me guess, the tower is the 2nd worst dungeon in the game?
  20. I dunno if it's the same in this version, but in the GBC port when you arrive in Cantlin, there's one guy in a basement floor in the southeastern part of town who mentions about going to build a Stone Golem in order to defend the town. So you have to thank this guy for making that gigantic waste of space in DQ1. Nice progression, by the way, you'll have the game beat in no time.
  21. Kinda surprised if you managed to really solo most of these vikings with Oguma, really. In my attempts to do that, they all bum-rushed him and killed him eventually, I thought the only way to pull through that chapter is to park on that bridge and let Sirius be recruited on the enemy turn. (Since he automatically goes to Oguma for recruitment on his own as well) Or was there a legit method of pulling that off?
