  1. Have you ever tried it yourself? Please do so before judging it. I would explain how much skill it takes, but there's really nothing more I can add to what Jotari and kingddd said. edit: God, I'm slow. I'm glad that you understand.
  2. I also like to suicide when I've got much more percent than the enemy. Even if it doesn't win me the match, it still gives me an advantage. Remember that it takes skill to successfully suicide. It also takes skill to avoid being suicided by the enemy. A good player knows how to deal with techniques like this and will be able to avoid them. So it's far from being cheap. I still shy away from doing it when I'm playing online, 'cause it really can anger people. I'm good enough with Kirby anyway. My friends are an exception. They can deal with me being an asshole. :3
  3. Not trying to play it down, it is an awesome feat indeed, but to be fair, half of these companies, plus the composer of the song, have been working on Smash anyway and Monolith already provided other content. And Tri... wasn't it TriCrescendo? Anyway, they are, as far as I know, on pretty good terms with Namco. In the end, I guess, the reasons for this fortunate event all boil down to Namco co-developing Smash. Now excuse me. I'm gonna play some Baten Kaitos now.
  4. I can only copy you: FUCK YES! Forget that I ever complained about the Smash soundtrack. I would've never imagined Baten Kaitos content getting in. I mean, the game is hardly known, and pretty unpopular. Just let us hope that enough people will be looking up what kind of game it is where this song comes from. Maybe a slight boost in popularity that will get them to make another game? I'm actually really content with Valedictory Elegy. Your other recommendations would've still been really awesome. I would've loved Poacher. Now, Kalas or Sagi for DLC, pleeease! I don't even care that they'd be more stereotypical swordusers.
  5. I guess for series like DK and Metroid, they're just using what the series is best known for, for all the people who haven't actually played the games. Imagine them using one of the lava levels from DK as a stage. Everyone will just go "What's this? Is this a new Metroid stage?" xD I'm on your side though. I'd love a Hornet Hole stage with Zingers and sticky floors. Or K.Rools pirate fleet. Or Barrel Bayou. They also called Stickerbrush Symphony "Bramble Blast" in Brawl, which actually isn't the name of the song but of the level it first plays in. And then all the native english speakers still start to mock Germans for not being able to properly speak their language.
  6. ...That's not how it's pronounced? Thanks. Good thing I never spoke that word. Seriously, what's wrong with this damn language? The pronounciation couldn't be less intuitive. I'd like the Kanto gym leader theme from the second gen. And Hoenn elite four theme, or Mt. Pyre. I already don't expect much of the Pokémon soundtrack nowadays. The chance that one of the few themes I like gets in Smash is rather slim. If I'm honest, I sound grumpy anyway when I'm talking about the Smash soundtrack, so I'll just say what I think. They so need to put in Moonstruck Blossom and Crowned from Kirby as unlockable tracks. It'd be strange if they didn't use some of the newer tracks.
  7. Does Sheik also fall to her death after using Side-B in the air? I know the problem from playing Zelda.
  8. It's not like I allow them to hit me. I usually taunt right after getting a kill. Many of them attack me right after they respawn, even if the taunt animation isn't over.
  9. I've yet to encounter someone on For Glory who doesn't attack me when I'm taunting. Bad sportsmanship I say. I hate that.
  10. On the contrary. The classic Donkey Kong Country games are awesome and possibly the best jump'n'run games ever made. The newer games aren't bad, but they quite lost the feeling of the old ones. DKC has a wonderfully challenging level of difficulty, beautifully created spriteart and the best soundtrack of any of the series that is featured in Smash (although Kirby and Zelda come in close). How could you not be a fan?
  11. I don't remember anyone in this thread whining about that, but me. So, sorry if it was a little annoying. It was just two times though. But yeah, I'm really content with the DK stages this time.
  12. Oh right, I've forgotten one thing. I'm missing the c-stick. I do prefer the GC-controller over the 3DS, but I managed to adjust to the controls rather quick. Yes, I know. It's still kinda sad. I've always enjoyed fighting on Hyrule Temple, and most of my selfmade stages are pretty big as well.
  13. Am I the only one who is satisfied with the 3DS version? This boardgame-thingy looks dull, and I don't think that 8-player battles are a good idea. The only thing I'm missing in 3DSmash are some bigger stages and the stage builder. And Lucas and the Ice Climbers, but the Wii U version won't give me them either.
  14. My thought exactly. The one in the spoiler. Worst stage I've ever had to play on. Whenever I'm forced to fight there in All-Star mode in Brawl, I just stand there and wait until the enemies have killed themselves. I haven't seen the direct yet. Don't have the time right now. So, are there any cool new DK-stages? I want to experience my favorite game-soundtrack on something that isn't... Rumble Falls. >.> Edit: Okay, I've seen it. Question has been answered. Yes. <3 I've actually just recently played Melee again just to see how Mewtwo was. His moveset surely is interesting. I'm pretty content, as long as he isn't as sucky as in Melee. But the best part about him is really the possibility of more DLC.
  15. Me too. Each of my characters has two custom sets, one with moves and items and one with only moves. And since there are custom moves that heavily alter your playstyle, it would be nice to use those online. I also hate when I play against a computer and turn on costum and, and then suddenly in battle, they explode when they shield, or they constantly heal themselves.
  16. I still like the Omega-feature, but it would have been a little smarter to just make an option to turn stage hazards off. There was a really pesky Pac Man player a while ago on For Glory. He did nothing but throw keys and hydrants at me, and it worked against me. Until I too switched to Zelda. I know why I love reflector-moves.
  17. She got both buffs and nerfs. I personally feel that the balance is on the side of the nerfs. It feels like her smashattacks got worse, which is pretty bad, considering that they were one of her bigger strengths. And Dins fire is shit now (Don't know about the customs though, I'm missing one of them). I can't remember when I last hit someone with that. She's still fun to play as, but I really have to adjust my playstyle. I find myself killing the opponents with Farores wind all the time instead of smashes. I love how her recovery move became a reliable killing method. I already liked to use the move in Brawl to surprise my enemies and I trained to perfectly aim it. The worst idea ever. They should have given her something, that let's her control the area below her, so that she's not as helpless when she's in the air. >.> But I still think that the phantom is a buff. I never use it and it sucks pretty hard. But it at least doesn't leave her wide open for punishment when you accidently use it. If I could get Smash4-Zelda with her smashattacks and side-B from Brawl, a Dins fire that doesn't leave her helpless when used in the air, and a new down-B, then I'd be really happy. Edit, on the topic of mains: I support the opinion that your mains choose you. If I told my past self all the characters I'm using now, he wouldn't believe me. There was a time in Brawl where I only used Kirby. Now I've got eleven characters I like to play as plus two that were cut in Smash 4.
  18. It's been two weeks since the game was released. At least I know that I'll be playing it for the next few years. To me, Smash isn't something that you play through and then never touch again.
  19. I think, when they made the 50 hours playtime achievement, they didn't have in mind that people should leave their game on overnight to get it.
  20. Panel three won't be unlocked immediately after finishing panel one, but you will get it before completing panel two. I don't know the exact conditions to unlock it. I can assure you, I have both panel two and three available on my game and finished neither of them.
