  1. My objective in each chapter is to complete the chapter. To do this is usually use the strategy of killing all enemy units, without having my own units killed. However this strategy occasionally doesn't work, so I have to resort to a different strategy such as surving a certain amount of turns or seizing a throne (in conjunction with my main strategy of killing all enemy units).

  2. Actually, Assassins ARE overrated with new FE players, not good players.
Well who doesn't have a fit of excitement when your playing you're first ever Fire Emblem game, Blazing Sword, and you learn how to get Jaffar :).

P.S: hmm... I just looked at Marisa's assassin sprite. It looks wrong - swordmaster is definatly the right choice for her.

  3. What a coincidence ^^

What part of the game are you at :?

I'll be playing the DS remake of Ankoku hopefully by the end fo the day.

I'm not that far. I'm at the end of chapter 1 where you take on Tozeh (storming the castle), although at the moment I'm just taking time to level up my units (Thief Shrine abuse :)). Also I'm playing the game on a flash emulator (with the game translated into English of course) on a website, rather than on a famicom.

You're a lucky person for being able to play FE DS today. I'll add it to the poll.

  4. This thread is self explanatory, so I don't need to type much of an here explanation here. It is a multi-choice poll so, if you like multi-tasking or one Fire Emblem game is not enough to occupy you, then you are able to vote for multiple games.

The Fire Emblem game I'm currently playing is FE 2: Gaiden. I've also yet to complete Sacred Stones, but I haven't played it for a few weeks (might start playing it again tonight. It will give me something to do in the dark lonely nights ahead). I've also been playing Sealed Sword, but haven't really been playing it much since I'm concentrating more on Gaiden.

  5. Remember, eating contests aren't always judged on how much you eat, they are judged on how fast the competitors eat. Sure Ilyana would eat more than everyone else, but could she eat faster than everyone else? She's only small, and although the amount she eats is incredibly disproportionate to her size, she still has a small mouth. Because of her small mouth she will only be able to stuff a small amount of food in it at once, therefore in a speed eating contest my money would be on some one like Ike or Gheb. In an endurance eating contest, I would probably bet on Ilyana.

ilyanabo6.png- Ilyana: got to get my energy up or the contest.

  6. Let's go through all the Cavaliers/Paladins I use:

    FE6: Noah (blue)

    FE7: Sain (green)

FE8: Seth (blue?) and Great Knight Amelia if she counts (Pink)

    FE9: Oscar (green)

    FE10: Titania (red?)

So that's 2 greens to one red (if she does count as a red), so I'll have to vote green.

  7. Joshua actually makes use of the better stat caps of the swordmaster while Marissa does not, therefore, he's the swordmaster while she's the assassin. Colm's usually a rogue for me because Rennac is kind of terrible and I like the utility of the class. Plus, Colm's usually got an A support with someone else that's worth using while Rennac tends to not have any options for A-rank supports other than Dozla, who is also kind of bad.
I think I got it the wrong way round then.
  8. I just beat the game for the 1st time and here was my top 5:

    5. Titania

    4. Shinon

    3. Sothe

    2. Jill

    1. Haar

Ike just missed out at number 6, with Soren, Mia, Edward, Nephenee, Nolan, Elincia, Marcia and Micaiah bringing up the rear.

I found it to be quite a strange top 5, for a start Titania and Jill weren't brought into the final chapter. I expected Haar to be number 1 since I used him a lot (probably way too much) until he got to 20/20, the same with Jill (she was Micaiah's team's Haar). I used Titania quite a bit too (even though she wasn't part of the endgame team), so I expected her to be at least near to the top 5. Shinon as was well, who was a complete killing machine. The only top 5 member that really suprised me was Sothe. Once he was promoted to whisper, I didn't use him that much. I must have really overused him in part 1 and the beginning of part two. Now I realise Sothe is the game's Jeigan character (I never would have thought he was a Jeigan since he was a thief, not a paladin. And he was awesome when he first appeared) I probably won't make the mistake of overusing him at the start of the game next time.

  9. I lose respect for Marth because he loses some of his awesomeness in Brawl (still pretty awesome, but not Melee-awesome).
Most of Melee's good characters were nerfed in Brawl. Marth probably got away with it more than the other awesome characters such as Fox, Falco and Jigglypuff.
