Units have to be at a specific rank in weapons to use them. The rank required is in the weapon description, and the unit’s weapon rank is located towards the bottom of the advanced unit stats. Rescue requires the unit to have a rank of E or higher in staves. If you’ve reclassed Lissa to something else, say with a second seal, than you’ll have to make sure that class has access to staves. Each class also has an upper limit for each weapon, so make sure that you are reclassing units right. It’s not a big deal if you’ve screwed up, you can just get Lissa to level 10 and use a second seal on her Additionaly, she may not be able to use it if there is nobody within the range of her staff.

Ryoma will get you a very strong Kana, as Ryoma’s stats and growths are amazing do to his nobility. If your looking to optimize the children, Ryoma is the optimal choice. Beside that it doesn’t really matter who you choose, you’ll rather get Kana and Shiro or Kana and Asugi. in the words of Azura, the path is yours to climb.

Cantors. I just love it when a whole swarm of gargoyles flies down and kills me. Witches are fun too. But what takes it all is any cleric/healer with a hexing rod. In an instant, my tankiest unit becomes more frail than one of my healers. The hexing rod’s range is too good, and Azama just weakens me enough for the others to finish me. Now that I think about it I guess I could of scilenced him, but...

I was wondering about the promotion of units that are the same person, but have a different name, like Zeke, Camus, and Seius. Would be allowed to promote Zeke into Camus or Serius, as they are the same person, or can I only promote Camus to Camus?

There is an English patch for the game (fe4) here I think, called Project Naga. You’ll just need a SNES emulator and a fe4 rom, which you’ll have to find on your own. You can patch it with Lunar ips software. And welcome!

I was wondering, in smash 4, what the use limit and regeneration time on Robin’s tomes (Thunder/Thoron, Arcfire, Elwind, Nosferatu) and the Levin Sword.

I’d go with Hosidan. The ability to use staves is much more useful than tomes. Most units can use tomes when promoted, like the spear fighter to the basara. Since Corrin will generally be on the front line (at least he/she should be) he/she can keep his allies at full health, since the Yato is 100 times more useful than tomes, and that’s what the Kodachi/Wakazachi are for

NO MORE WAIFU SIMULATOR. Supports are fine but literally all of Awakenin/Fates is marrying your characters off. I don’t mind the marriage system, in fact Genealogy managed it beautifully, but when your tactical fantasy RPG becomes what Fire Emblem is now...AAAAAAAHHHHHHHH! I don’t hate the marriage system, I just don’t li,e what it’s become.

I put lots of effort into Berkut. He’s not very good in Heroes (and he got screwed weapon wise. Too bad IS didn’t give him a weapon upgrade like Hinok, Felicia, etc. i also put tons of work into ToD Henry. I gave him Life and Death 3 (before Sothe), Bow Breaker, and Quickened pulse in combination with Astra. He has the Gronnblade plus (rip nino) and he is supporting Effie. Effie’s got Hone armor, so she just goes along on Henry’s adventures, giving him plus 6 Atk and Spd while they both get 2 spaces of movement. Even with L&D he can still take a few hits, and with the Gronnblade, damage output is crazy, and if astra is charged, even Roy with triangle adept can’t stand in his way.

My apologies. I’m on chapter nine and I have a save file right at the start of the chapter! Unfortunately you’ll have to play through ch 9 again but that’s better than 1-9 I guess...

I’m assuming Nintendo/IS probably has two different teams, one for the main series (FE Switch), and one working on Heroes, like the Zelda team has one working on console releases while the other focuses on handheld.

Mmmm. I have my own save file of fe4. I’m not done (only on chapter 8), but all my units were paired in gen 1. Finn, Patty, her brother, and Leif’s sister are dead though so let me know and I might be able to get the file to you. Ayra was with Dew Brigit was with Jamká Levin was with Fury Lachesis and Beowolf Azel and Tieltu Sylvia and Green Cav. (Can’t remember his name at the moment.)
