It's been a good while since the Fodlan Braves were released, I have Edelgard and Dimitri (with Dimitri being +Def +1merge), and I'm one full summon away from getting the second, and at this point last, sparking before the banner ends in a week. Quick question, now that we know what they're all about, between Claude and Lysithea who would be best to get for my last sparking? Both I understand have their advantages, disadvantages, and fans, but assume that I will never summon a Fodlan Brave again: who would I rather have on my side?

Personally I would go with Claude. Wind Parthia allows him to have many different playstyles (player phase, enemy phase or even mixed) and his Class lacks competition (Spring Loki and Summer Takumi don't even compare to him). Lysithea on the other hand is one of many Nukes whose role can be fulfilled by other similar nukes or simple blade Tomes.

Also about Brammimond, in non AR Defence content where the enemies he will face aren't supported properly or at all and since lowering foes Atk stay isn't an option what can he run in the C slot to help give debuffs or help his battle performance?

  2. With today's orbs I managed to get a Colorless hero as I wanted, I got a +Def -Spd Brammimond so he now is +1 +Def, glad I got rid of his -Atk also +Def is really good as well to survive more hits. I will stop pulling at the legendary banner. Still at 4.00 a the brave banner so I will try to end that pity rate (hopefully with a brave lord).

After that's done I will go for September's Red/Colourless with maybe a stop to the duo dancer depending on how broken they are.

I dont think so. Brave Dimitri is allready very fantastic with his skills, its hard to top that with a Legendary. They either would need to let more time pass or give Legendary Dimitri a total different playstyle to make him stand out from his Brave Version.

Brave is mostly a tank, Legendary with Areadbhar and Atrocity that will somehow deal effective damage will most likely be an offensive type of unit like Baby Caeda.

  4. That Rally+ is amazing. I don't have currently any unit that can use it so I will save it and use it later on (perhaps OG Edelgard can use it as she is +6 and already has some good scoring skills). Olivia will be useful for DD3 on Cecilia.

Hopefully the trend of good skills appearing on Ephemera continues (next month we should get an armor skill).

  5. For me the units that will get priority are units that are hard to merge or snipe for in order to get a nature. My Legendary Edelgard for example is +Spd +1 to get her a +Atk it would take lots of orbs and the result is not even guaranteed. So with the IVcado I can simply make her +Atk -Def and have 49 base Atk at +1 with flower help. There also units like Mila that even unmerged want a specific stat raised and only one can be safely reduced, that's why I will make her +Def -Spd especially since next time she will be summonable is in February of 2021 and she will be sharing with 2 other units and even unmerged she can work. Grail units like my +10 Aversa can get +Hp however it's not necessary right now, or flame emperor can get the Res superboon however he isn't even +10 yet. Other grails units like Ashnard or Mininerva aren't built yet. So for me they are better used to save orbs by changing the traits of 5* exclusives I use a lot.

I'm pretty confident October's hero is Dimitri. But beyond that, I got no idea.

That much I am certain as well (I bet they brought Edelgard back so soon just to have them together) I low-key ship them so it's fine by me. My main goal after getting a Colorless in the current banner is to get as many Edelgard merges as I can during October as her next rerun might be after a long time considering she arrived so fast two times.

September is however a necessary stop as Astra is really hard with the current mythics and considering I need a total of 3 extra Galeforce (5 if you count Duo Ephraim's and Legendary Edelgard's) to have the GF squad that can utilise Altina and Naga, two copies of a new Astra mythic that has crazy support capabilities is what I need to save tanking strategies. As for the actual mythic I have no preference all I want is a Support-bot Astra. I would like Plumeria because dancing however a 3rd OC mythic in a row is something I would hate. I also I don't really want Seiros as she is meant to be a warrior and all so being supportive contradicts her personality I think. She is better as an Anima defensive mythic in the future. So someone like Ashera/Ashunera or Sephiran/Lehran that give Res would be amazing from a character and Gameplay perspective as Ashera like Yune could be a debuff bot and Sephiran could potentially be a staff I guess. As far as colour goes I want the mythic to be Colourless as triangle is the last thing I want to worry with this unit and Leif is someone I lack that can be nice with my recent Player phase fascination and Duma is a dragon that needs that first merge and already has a nice Nature (plus I like the Valentian dragons a lot).

  7. Tried to enemy phase it with many different tactics that previously worked however the flash staff and the daggers made it hard from turn 1. So I went with something different for the fun of it that actually worked. I cleared the abyssal with my extremely unbuilt galeforce/one turn clear team utilising L. Edelgard, OG Edelgard, Duo Ephraim and Mirabilis. Never thought I would player phase an Abyssal but it was super fun and one of my highlights when playing heroes. Since I don't know how to record/upload videos of gameplay I will mention the units and strategy in spoilers as I am very excited about this victory and I want to share it.

    Spoiler

At turn 1 Ephraim gave the Edelgards the Atk buff and activated the Duo skill and with the help of Mirabilis he smited legendary Ed and she took out Corrin and ended up with 18 Hp allowing OG Ed to WoM herself next to the legendary and then she took out the red dagger and at the end only the staff and the other dagger remained that left OG one with 1 Hp. Then for the next 2 turns the Edelgards cleared the foes that spawned at the top and Ephraim with Mirabilis climbed their way in the upper side of the map with them. When the spendthrift bow appeared the Edelgards trapped it and very slowly killed it, at the same time the Duo with Mirabilis took down the rest (some tomes the pegasus sword). At the end of turn 7 only the armor Axe was left. However, he could kill Legendary Ed because of the hammer and Ephraim had few Hp and couldn't survive so it was up to OG one to deal with him. Then followed one of the coolest sequences in my time playing Heroes. At Odd turns that OG had good Hp she attacked the armor once and then everyone kept dancing/smiting/shoving around the map and the unbreakable pillar. It took about 24 turns if I remember correctly to leave him at low Hp to allow Duo Ephraim to kill him with his special that was already charged beforehand.

It was really fun teleporting, attacking, slowly healing, smiting, shoving, dancing and Galeforcing around the entire map. Though I had to downgrade their builds (these aren't the builds they have for most content) it at least gave me some guidance for the team (Galeforce for the Duo and Legend and WoM 3 for the infanries). Honestly, after getting Legendary Edelgard my entire play style begins to change.

Best prince is finally +10! 🥰

He joins RD Ike as my second +10 legendary. I don't have any plans for a third at present.

Oh hey, I have the first +10 Hrid here too, neato.

Congrats, he might be an old cav unit however he seems extremely crazy and scary and since you said you like enemy phase tanks he will serve you very well.

    Updated schedule, October onwards:

    • October:
      • Red: Ryoma, Marth, Mirabilis
      • Blue: Chrom
      • Green: Edelgard, Thrasir (Hel moved to Nov)
      • Colorless: Robin, Eir, Alm
    • November:
      • Red: Eliwood
      • Blue: Tiki, Azra
      • Green: Hel (Lyn moved to Jan)
      • Colorless: Corrin
    • December:
      • Red: n/a
      • Blue: Peony
      • Green: n/a (Thrasir moved to Oct)
      • Colorless: Brammimond
    • January:
      • Red: Ike, Roy
      • Blue: Julia
      • Green: Hector, Lyn
      • Colorless: n/a
    • February:
      • Red: Altina, Hrid
      • Blue: Fjorm
      • Green: Gunnthra
      • Colorless: Mila
    • March:
      • Red: Eirika
      • Blue: Naga
      • Green: n/a
      • Colorless: n/a

Lyn, Thrasir, and Hel all shuffled around for some reason. Seems like the specifics of these are getting pretty unreliable that far out.

Erika and Naga are kicked seven months down the line, while Hrid, Gunnthra, and Mila are six.

October's green replacing Hel with Thrasir is a let down as I wanted to merge her but more time to finish her flowers I guess. Still, Edelgard with a good mythic is positive.

Doesn't November also have Sothis in Red? Green with Hel and Colourless with Corrin is what I am looking forward to.

February looks pretty weak for the anniversary so I can go for a potential brave hero fest without regrets.

  10. Was about to do my free pull when I saw a full Colourless session. I had 15 orbs that I wanted to use to end my pity rate on the brave banner however when considering the Colourless pool of the banner it was hard to resist as the mythics needed merges and I want to build Corrin. I got two Gordins (their shove was something I needed), a Klein that's again good fodder and a Felicia. I want to get a Colourless hero desperately so I might as well give up on the brave banner and wait for the hero fest they might get.

  11. Taking inspiration from a similar thread about cavalry units, I thought that perhaps dragons do deserve a mention when talking about classes that need some extra help. Dragon effectiveness is everywhere, countless personal weapons have it, there are 3 inheritable effective daggers, it arrives as a hone buff in Divine fang and even as a special to an extent. One of their niches which is adaptive damage is countered by an inheritable skill and the Julias. Last but not least, they are exempted from many skill inheritance options that truly can make some units stand out. For example units with the offensive spread and the weapon of Lilith or the fallen Corrins can't inherit Galeforce making them a pretty poor player phase options compared to other mellee nukes. Also infantry and fliers miss on damage reduction skills that can help tank what would otherwise be a kill. Even the ones that nullify effective damage have a drawback that doesn't make so appealing options.

Do you think they need some help in form of skills, seals or something else or are they fine as it it?

  12. When it comes to barracks I never had any problems as I immediately turn into manuals any units that I don't see myself building up. I still have the original 300 barrack space but I have only 104 units, I am a bad saving F2P player so I don't have that many units to being with especially when compared to most players here. My 3 and 4 stars are dancers that can be helpful regardless of stars or levels, one copy GHBs or TTs in case I want to use them and units whose ordeals I need to complete for flowers. All the rest are manuals, so far never have been disappointed.

    20 minutes ago, Anacybele said:

Yet I can use OG Reinhardt and Dancer Reinhardt well. So if I can use them effectively, why not other player phase units?

Non ranged player phase units can be hard to get used to, from my experience at least. I got into galeforce type of strategies this month that I got/built Duo Ephraim, Legendary Edelgard and OG.Eliwood.

I specified the leads reel, not the leads banner.

The oddness of Sothe's presence in the video and the fact that some units who were not in the video have become legendaries are not relevant to the thing I actually said. I believe we've already had this discussion not too long ago. What matters is that we can assume that the leads video shows the units IS considers most in need of legendary versions, despite the fact that other units show up occasionally.

    Don't forger Sigurd.

Ignoring gender variations (and Sothe), the lords missing legendary versions are Sigurd, Micaiah, Byleth, Dimitri, and Claude. We could get through all of those by the end of June 2021, if they stay focused on them. 9 of the 10 pair up legendaries so far have been from that lineup (Roy, Alm, Eliwood, Leif, Celica, Chrom, Edelgard, Seliph, and Corrin), with Julia as the only exception, so I think it's pretty likely that we'll at least get all 5 of those by this time next year.

I kind of forgot about Sigurd actually, since Seliph got his alt I didn't think about his father that much, but we can always have new fire legendaries. Also after these Lords I think one of the Byleths is on line along with grandmaster male Robin, perhaps a Valite king or Child of Dawn Male corrin. Perhaps in the middle we can have Elincia and similar characters.

Personally hoping for Legendary Rhea as Archbishop but she can make also a nice mythic (would prefer the immaculate one as Seiros would be a sword infantry something I dread).

I agree. The less sword units the better. The sword pool is so saturated that most sword units simply are not worth using as they all feel super samey, at least from a player phase perspective, unless they can Galeforce without using Sacred Seals or can do Counter-Vantage exceptionally well. For enemy phase, the variety in Weapon skill effects is more relevant in my opinion since some tanking effects are better than others.

I want them to introduce more variety into other Weapon-movement classes too, except maybe lance cavalry and lance fliers since we have a lot of those already

I agree with what you said. I believe that even in enemy phase units are samey. Every enemy/mixed phase swordie is build the same way.

Weapon that can give at least +4 to all stats and neutralises penalties or certain skills, DC, Evasion B slot, smoke C slot and Spd/Res solo or a stance.

That's why I am scared of Seiros being added because she would be the same unit reskined.

  14. As far as legendaries go I predict the following,

October, Dimitri infantry lance with Areadbhar and Atrocity

December, Michy as a double effective tome (original I know) or a staff

February, Claude as a flying bow with Failnaught and Fallen star.

Then we would be done with all main Lords (Byleth is a weird case due to his transformation) and we can have secondary yet important characters like Elincia or even Rhea I guess??

Mythics I really don't care that much as I like using these originally unplayable characters as it is. I just want September's Mythic to be Astra Res with insane support capabilities (a dancer or a staff would be perfect). I want to bench Naga and never dare to use her again.

  15. 32 minutes ago, Vicious Sal said:

Everything you say is true, but I'd still rather have a +10 Fjorm than a +10 Corrin. Skill inheritance can help From tons and I just value the fact that she's rotting every 4 weeks in AR and Arena as a bonus. And If you have her +10, she becomes +20 in effect and that's just a week of free wins. It's the consistent value I appreciate, but yeah, stats wise etc she's inferior in most situations.

Problem is that her special is pretty much Fjorm's special but also for mellee foes. That damage reduction is pretty bad. Pavise and Aegis that also stand at 3 CD and have 50%. When we have personals skills like To change Fate, Raging Storm, Black Eagle and Blue Lion Rule and the evasion skills that are inheritable it's kind of unfair for her to mirror the kit of the first legendary. It should have 50% maybe or she should have had some healing to be able to tank multiple rounds of combat. When used in AR she has to tank Bramimond, Thrasir, Lysithea, Ophelia, Brave weapons and all of them pretty much ruin her as it is. Most of the defence threats are ranged so both specials do the same job if you think about it.

I am leaning towards Noontime or Aether with Null Follow-up or Lul Atk/Spd.

  16. A thing I enjoy doing with Legendary/Mythic trailers is calculate and speculate their stats based on the footage they show. Azura when paired up grants +1 to Atk/Def/Res and +2 to Spd. I ended up calculating. 41 Hp (we know about it), 38 Atk, at least 36 base Spd and 29 Res. I believe she will follow the trend of Dragon Corrins having 5 extra BST so instead of 176 like Dimitri she might have 181. With that in mind I say she will end up with 41 Hp, 38 Atk, 42 Spd, 31 Def, 29 Res.

  17. 10 minutes ago, LordFrigid said:

I’m confused. What about her kit makes the special lackluster or not spammable?

It’s 30% mitigation on activation, and effectively Draconic Aura for her next attack. It’s on a 2-charge cooldown after her weapon’s Accelerates Special Trigger effect. So, if she meets the stat boost and special charge acceleration condition, it activates on her opponent’s attack, and then she full-charges it on her own attack unless the enemy has Guard (or similar).

I was too quick to judge perhaps. When looking at her kit it does seem pretty spamable. Shield pulse activates it at turn 1 and if foe initiates combat she reduces the damage, the next attack is powered up and charges the special again (unless guard is a thing and she will need 2 attacks).

Still might prefer Aether (4 cooldown and triggers easily) or a healing special as I like self sustainability a lot . Regardless L.Corrin as a dragon is something I really like and want to invest (definitely will give her Time's pulse or Nul follow up in the future if/when I get her).

  18. 46 minutes ago, Clear World said:

If her base Spd is 40+, she could make a strong dual-phase dragon.

Colorless is so stacked... I sort of want her.

Honestly, I am extremely tempted to pull for her. I want to finish my rate at CYL and try and go for a Colourless hero. I have both other mythics unmerged at +Hp -Atk and that's something I want to change. Also after using FF. Corrin so much I have gained a newfound love for her so I am really excited.

She is a slaying breath that gains +5 to all stats and gains extra cooldown. I just don't like her special at all. If they wanted damage reduction they could have given it to the B slot that has the same skill as the first legendary for some reason. If I don't get her it doesn't really matter however, as I don't have any B slot fodder (Lul Atk/Spd or Null follow up). About the element it might not make as much sense as water however, wind easily has the weakest roster with only Eliwood. Not that Corrin herself is that crazy with her special. Are there any ways to spam it consistently?

I wonder if we will ever get another Julia-esque leak in the future. Y'know, a random month early announcement buried 3 pages or so deep into the notification board lol

I am the messed-up person that when bored and playing Feh I might look once per month deep into page 5+ page of notifications hoping to find such a leak.

Anyway, in some hours I expect the trailer to arrive. I am really excited for the reveal, not so much for the unit itself (4.00 on CYL) but mostly because I am extremely curious who will be the legendary.

  20. 41 minutes ago, SirErrant said:

One of the worst mistakes they made in Three Houses in my opinion. As it stands, Edelgard's Emperor class is just another axe armored one, while the two other lords almost hands down have the coolest and least used niches (lance infantry and bow flier). It wouldn't even be too much of a stretch, since Barons existed.

Shame that FEH had a chance to correct this mistake but didn't. Really hoping for an armored mage seasonal Edelgard or Hegemon Edelgard. (Fallen banner lineup with Edelgard, Dimitri, Rhea, and Nemesis, anyone?)

Honestly, Dark Druids do look an awful lot like armored units. It really wouldn't be too much of a stretch.

I remember some days ago I speculated a similar Fallen idea with Dedue as GHB. Hopefully it is the case.

Perhaps Athos could also be an armored mage.

  21. I didn't talk about about their classes. So why not.

Marth as a cavalry sword weilding the blade of light (reference to the 1st game's title) and a B slot that would be a mixed phase version of L.Seliph's B slot. He will wear his father's armour.

Felix as a blue infantry tome (referencing his father). He wouldn't be offensive oriented but more defensive because he now is the shield of Faergus.

Rhea as a green infantry dragon (we need more weapon variety in CYL). Because of her connection to Sothis she would have a B slot with Null follow up and nul special charge (creator swords effect pretty much). Her breath can also have some damage reduction because (she has massive barriers when faced). Her outfit would be themed around Sothis.

Freya as a Colourless Cavalry beast. I simply would have her weapon be as insane as it can be to parallel how OG freya also has a crazy weapon. She can have Freyr's outfit.

  22. I am very happy people think that Rhea is a strong contender but last year she finished 17th on women's division if I am not mistaken. Can she truly make a miracle like this happen? Like everyone said things will be really different if we have someone like Felix and Marrianne in the game. Regardless Marth must be at 1st position and Rhea should get to top 10 women.

Alright, what the heck? I was 100% expecting that legendary hero trailer right now since tomorrow night it'd be Sunday for Japan and the banner itself goes live Monday. COME ON. -_-

Still though, crossing all my fingers for Elincia.

At least it's guaranteed to come tomorrow, so that's something I guess. I truly don't know who can be the legendary, perhaps Claude?
