  1. I'm happy to see this, because I never went back through to play Ephraim's path. Now I have incentive to do so without having to dig out the GBA and try to keep that old battery charged.
  2. Joystiq and IGN are both reporting that Fire Emblem: Sacred Stones is going to be part of the free Ambassador Program games for those who bought the 3DS early. They've only announced Japan and Europe release dates, but it's likely the same games will be available in the U.S. since Europe and Japan match. Hopefully, this will renew interest in the Fire Emblem series, since many 3DS owners will get it for free, and it'll convince Nintendo to speed up Fire Emblem 3DS for U.S. release, and maybe even revisit New Mystery...although that still seems highly unlikely.
  3. I've had a 3DS since day one, and if there's one thing I've figured out since then, it's that the graphics take on a different life when they're actually viewed in 3D. I'm not impressed with the battle animations right now, but I'll have to see them in 3D in order to really weigh in on it. A good example of this is the new Shinobi game. The screen captures are horrible, but when I got my demo of it at E3, it actually looked really cool.
  4. Six+ months away makes sense, though, since the purpose of the whole event was to rally support for the 3DS by showing off a slew of games. I'm sure they're revealing many games before they wanted to. Hopefully, that's a March or April Japan release with the U.S. version to hit around E3. And I'm convinced there'll be a U.S. release this time. The 3DS needs games. NoA will be localizing nearly everything for a while.
  5. Following along on IGN. Not much detail, except that: 1. 3D graphics look better than Radiant Dawn. 2. Will involve 2 on 1 battles. 3. There's something about scanning in cards with the camera, but that was confusing. Could be a goof on their part. No word on a U.S. release, of course. I'm sure more will come out in the coming days.
  6. This rumor's still getting around, apparently. www.neogaf.com I'm worried about what the poster had to say.... "I was told that he expects to see a new Fire Emblem, a new Castlevania, and a Contra but doesn't expect a lot of people will be happy with the direction those games are taking." Hopefully he just means they're going 3DS. I think a new Fire Emblem for either (both) the 3DS and Wii U is likely, but I'm hoping for 3DS here so we don't have to wait so long. Even if it's just a 3DS version of New Mystery of the Emblem (like Atlus did with the Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor Overclocked), I'll be be good with it. Regardless, I guess we'll know in a week if any of this pans out.
  7. Did anyone cover the fact that if you play Path of Radiance first you can carry your gold coins and character relationships over into Radiant Dawn? I started on Radiant Dawn, but quit about seven levels in and picked up Path of Radiance after I found this out. And after I realized I was enjoying it enough to want to play them all, of course. If you do that, though, don't play Path of Radiance on the easy level. Either by bug or design (I can't remember which) you can't import your PoR stats into RD if you've got an "Easy" saved game.
  8. Ah, cool, I see I came into some drama. No, you'll find I'm an upstanding fellow. I did mean lurking, by the way. I used this site mainly for the guides (and to grab some music), but starting looking in the forum when I couldn't find anything on a U.S. release of New Mystery. There was a different thread a while back I wanted to comment on, and that's when I tried to register but didn't get a confirmation e-mail. For further proof of my actual existence, I'll let this review I wrote for Gamertell serve as my passport: Gamertell Review: Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon for DS I didn't include that the first time because I didn't want it to seem that I'm fishing for links. Not sure what the point would be for a review that's two years old, anyway.
  9. Hello, all. I've been coming to this forum for a while now (tried to register a while back, but didn't get the confirmation e-mail), and decided to register because if I have no new Fire Emblem games to play, I may as well talk about the old ones. I won't bore you with details about myself, but I was at E3 this year covering the show for Gamertell.com, and was disappointed that Fire Emblem wasn't tossed out even in passing as either a late release for the DS or as an in-development Wii U title. But we'll save such discussions for the appropriate threads.
