  1. "You must've misheard. Said 'I need friends'." She was content to play this game for as long as she could, whatever this mess could be called was far more amusing than just slinking off quietly and getting back to work. Leon stepped up to the first interloper, likely to give her some real context, as the second began to rattle off some founded grievances against AHI. Some of it might've even been her work. The fact that she knew that information was a bit suspect, but any actually concerned citizen could've stumbled across it. And even if it went deeper than that, she wasn't supposed to be snuffing the fires of rebellion, despite her title.

She did her best not to bristle as her free ticket onto the Dawn was likely being taken away from her, reminding herself of 'SenSen' still half-wrapped in her tail. It was far from enough to actually hold him down if he made a legitimate attempt to escape, but that would also require him to do it. Despite his stuttering and eye-movements, his pokerface was almost flawless; only below the table could she see his fingers fidgeting in panic. Even if she didn't get to go to the Dawn, there wasn't much they could do separate themselves from her unless she let them. Leon knew she was dangerous, but he hadn't the slightest inkling to what she could actually do if she wanted to.

She turned to look at the first interloper, watching as confusion and frustration played across her face. She didn't attempt to disprove Marianne's words or contest what Leon was likely saying. Without anything to parrot back, she was actually rather bad a verbal confrontation; she knew she wouldn't be able to out talk these two, even with the benefit of the doubt the interloper was likely giving her. Instead, she focused on the second interloper's concerns about being captured. "Don't have to worry about that, not my job to lock people up."

  2. "You make habit of watching, or something? Also, never remember seeing you there." The man's blatant fear lightened her mood, finding an unusual amusement in it his desperate body language as he ran his mouth. "If were doing business there would remember you. Suspicious." The grin hidden behind her helmet was wide, her voice almost exuberant. "Maybe should take you in, am still part of AHI Securi--" She flinched as she felt a sudden hand on her shoulder, dodging down under the arm and spinning herself towards the... first interloper. She forced her tensed muscles to relax, the punch she'd been about to throw fading as her fist unclenched and she stood back up straight.

She opened her mouth to deny the claim that she and this 'SenSen' knew each other, but then something even more ridiculous rolled off the woman's tongue. They were taking these two to the Dawn? More importantly, she'd just been invited too. "Oh, yes. Good friends with this one." Her tail snaked its way to his side, half wrapping around him and tugging him a bit closer. "Just talking about last time we see each other at work." Were it not for the laws of physics, the smirk on her face would have been audible. "I can go if you're inviting me. Have free reign to do what I want right now."

But of course it wouldn't be that easy. It was Leon's turn to come over, that fake civility removed from his features and tone. It would've been welcome, if he wasn't trying to ruin this for her. She let out a quiet, muffled growl as Leon did his best to dissuade the interloper from taking her along, but it seemed that whoever she was she was entirely oblivious to the meeting they'd had earlier in the day. And, once again, whoever she was, she was full of great ideas. "Yeah, what's the problem, Leon? Weren't you just talking about how badly you wanted to be my friend? This not very friendly of you."

  3. "Don't need friends." Was all Leon got for his attempt at perceived pity, what with the frown that briefly flitted across his face. She stared up at him, eyes flicking off the unknown at the table, as he gave his final spiel before they were inevitably, yet abruptly, interrupted. Unfortunately there wasn't a shred of fear or dread in the man's expression, meaning her helmet had actually done it's job, much to her annoyance. The first interloper waved to her, while the second pretended that she wasn't even there, eyes solely on what should've been her prey. She turned to look at the man now alone at his table, making sure to both make eye contact and remember his features. Whoever he was, he was likely responsible for the urgency of his companion's need to leave, given the woman herself had hardly stolen so much as a glance at her. She would remember this slight and plot her revenge accordingly.

And who said her revenge had to wait? The woman's gamble to pull Leon out of her clutches left her companion back at her table all alone. Not alone enough for the lizard to kill him, they were still in the bar after all, but certainly alone enough for her to slip over to him. Leon's attention was entirely on the two woman, which gave her all the more reason to slide out of her seat and approach the now lone soldier. She made sure maintain eye contact as she walked over, the expression hidden behind her helmet equal parts malice and annoyance, her tail slightly flicking behind her. "It rude to stare at strangers across the bar. No matter how strange they are."

  4. As soon as the deadman's attention shifted to Versaris Alriana was ready to pounce. Alvira and Versaris charged forward to clear the way as Roxanne directed her funnels onto her again. Versaris was in position now, ready for her to charge in!

Aly to 13,33 Pattern AtS Silver Dagger Vermeil.

It was over in an instant. Vermeil had pulled back the bowstring, magical energy pooling as he prepared to take his shot. Versaris stood ready to knock the magical arrow out of the air, however one did that anyway, and Roxanne's funnels fired as soon as the Creation's dagger was loosed from her hand. None of it, save her dagger, was needed in the end. Her dagger pierced the man's throat as he was in the middle of saying some inane taunt, quickly silencing him as his hands went from preparing to shoot her to clutching at his throat.

"Hmph. Supposed to be leader? Died just as easily as rest."

  5. "Why?" The question was near immediate as Leon turned down her 'generous' offer to see her work, Alriana grumbling in her head as the man leaned in close. Stupid mercenary, where's all your bravado now... She stared up at him, unperturbed by his attempt to peer through her visor. She dared him to see something, to have a flash of fear flit across his face, because he was a dead man if he saw anything more than his reflection in her visor; Toki's orders were that anyone who saw her face, because of how blatantly unhuman her teeth were, couldn't be allowed to live. She was tempted to raise the visor herself to give herself the justification now that her first plan had failed, despite the fact Toki had included in this same order that she was not to do it herself, but the number of people that might see here were too great.

She growled quietly beneath her helmet, not really caring for Leon's next question. "Don't see why I should tell someone who doesn't want to see my work. No information come free." Perhaps she could bait him back with that, rather than going the nuclear option of showing her face. She knew he wouldn't like the answer he received, anyway. None of the others who asked her things like 'why', or 'why are you doing this' seemed pleased with the answers they got.

  6. Cyrus was almost loathe to spend their limited resouces to immediately tend to Rina's wounds; however, the fact that she had weapon in hand and was part of this fight meant that Rivane trusted her. That would have to ne sufficient, for now. That would not, however, stop him from chiding the noblewoman.

"Try not to get yourself wounded so grieviously; our medicine and healing staves are not unlimited like that of the knights."

  7. "..." He was silent as Thesephine's attitude seemed to shift, becoming more genuine and honest about her intentions. There were some concerning lines still mixed in with what she was saying, but she didn't seemed to be as much of a unredeemable brat as he had initially made her out to be. He let out a big sigh, feeling terrible for how he had treated her even if he was convinced she deserved some of it. "Sorry for being so short with you, you're really, getting me at my worst." He sighed again, more of a yawn tinged with melancholy, as he sank into his chair, his hands falling from the controls and onto the chair's armrests without even locking the controls. If he was going to trust her to stay in the cockpit while he slept, then there wasn't really much point in locking the controls; he was too exhausted to bother with the extra work.

Once Thesephine turned to face him he found himself staring down at her, almost blankly were it not for the tiredness displayed all over his face. She was actually rather cute when she was behaving, if what was occurring could be called behaving. He didn't have the willpower to fight off her urging him to sleep and, with the edge of her bratty behavior no longer a factor in keeping him awake, he quickly passed out.

"Told enough." Was how she chose to respond to him, which was a blatant lie. Nothing they had on the pilots, aside from the actual target, went beyond public information. Even then, most of the extra information on the target came from Tokiwa herself. She smirked as the red-maned pilot asked her for information about, she assumed, the situation as a whole on Callisto. "You asking wrong person. Do lot more work than do knowing. Can show you my work, if interested?" She laid the bait-- Invitation at his feet. Surely Tokiwa wouldn't mind one, as long as it wasn't the target before his time came. And even if she did, how mad could she possibly get? A little shuffling of events and she could make it entirely justified, anyway. She just had to convince herself of them first and make sure Tokiwa was distracted when she told her.

As she gave Leon time to ponder her invitation she turned to look at the individual that was trying to stare a hole through her helmet. Perhaps stare wasn't the right word, but she had felt his gaze on her nearly the second she entered the bar. Their appearance didn't match anyone that she could remember, but that didn't mean he weren't on a list somewhere. Had her tail caught more attention, or was there something else going on with this person? The brief flash of panic that played across his features as she turned her attention to him was both amusing and seemed to indicate that something was up, but she hadn't missed the companion at his side, quietly growling into her helmet. One was pushing it, two was risky and Tokiwa was guaranteed to be pissed. Three would probably result in her getting rocketed out into orbit for a week or more...

She turned back to Leon, hoping to get his response before the woman that was approaching him, rather rapidly for a bar, could interrupt them. "Well? Want to see work?" The malice in her words was nigh undetectable, largely due to her helmet muffling her already monotone voice and hiding the dangerous glint in her eyes.

  8. All you had to do was leave my damn cockpit... Daeran thought to himself with the little time he had between Thesephine's final quip and the simulation starting for real. Despite the added weight on his lap, and the unmissable cascade of violet-white hair, once the sounds of simulated combat began he found himself able to focus solely on the loaded combat scenario rather easily. It wasn't necessarily bliss, he was still engaging in fast-paced combat with split-second decision making, but it was far better than what he had been thinking about or dealing with the brat on his lap.

He had tuned Thesephine and her mumbling out as he piloted the simulation, so it took a second for him to realize she was talking to him, making more demands. "As long as it keeps you quiet." His tiredness was blatantly on display, if she happened to glance up at his face, and he could feel the edges of sleep creeping in with the brief moment of solitude he had had when Thesephine was still being tuned out. He was exhausted, mentally and physically, but he knew he wouldn't be able to sleep if he returned to his room; by the time he returned his troublesome thoughts would have resumed nagging at his consciousness. He also refused to leave this brat unattended in cockpit, for fear that she would cause an accident. Feeling as though he had little other option, he booted up the next simulation, this one a bit less engaging in the hopes that she would eventually get bored.

  9. Alriana watched as the small host of archers rounded the corner, preparing herself to leap at the first one to let their guard down. Alvira was the first to act, stepping up and turning one of the men into a seared pile of armor. She took that as her que to move, barely catching what the pirate aligned woman had said. Direct her intent? That was simple enough, the she never made any attempt to conceal her killing intent.

  10. One clean throw into the back of the man's head was all she needed, the Creation keeping her momentum as she ran up one two new faces and one of Owen's mercenaries. She didn't know what to make of the scantily dressed horned woman, other than that she was dressed very indecently and had just immolated on of these scum. Her eyes didn't linger on her long, feeling that it was improper to look at her. Instead she focused her attention on the mounted man, throwing her daggers into the gaps in his armor.

  11. Reinenforcements had emerged from the hallway to the left, but there were in the process of being swiftly culled like the vermin they were. Alriana's attention remained focused on the priest that had turn and begun to run at the sight of their approach. She took into a sprint, rounding the corner and tossing her knives into his back as he fled. There would be no quarter for these scum.

  12. As Thesephine locked herself even tighter to him Daeran exhaled a heavy sigh, sinking into the pilot seat as he gave up. His stoic, trending towards incredibly annoyed, expression gave way to one of unadulterated tiredness, no longer having it in him to try and drive this brat out of his machine. "If you'd have had the day I've had, then you'd understand why this 'slight inconvenience' is the last thing I want to deal with right now. And if your pride is so wounded, you're welcome to leave..."

He huffed after his final attempt to get rid of her, adjusting in his seat and sitting back upright. If she really wasn't going to move then he didn't have much of choice, aside from leaving himself and getting the engineers and mechanics to pry her off of him, but he wasn't sure if he'd be able to stand and safely walk to the hatch with the added off-center weight of this girl. The other optional was to give in to his tiredness and fall asleep, but that would defeat the entire point of letting this, as far as he was concerned, random civilian have free unsupervised reign of his machine.

The one good thing about this girl, if it could even be called such, was her height; even with her squarely on his lap he could still see over her to the console. He selected a random 'moderate' difficulty sim for himself, waiting as it initialized. "There. It's starting." [/i]Now quiet down so I can focus...[/i]

Too easy. Leon had given Alriana all that she needed; plausible deniability. She would have been content (bored, willing to escalate further if needed) to sit there and mind her drink, but he was the one who chose to interact with her. She could no longer be blamed for anything that may happen in the near future, as far as she was concerned. She coiled her tail around the base of the barstool to keep it contained, it wouldn't do to have it cause an 'incident' and ruin the present Leon had just given her.

Now that he was addressing her she actually turned her head to stare at him, sizing him up as properly as she could while seated. Nothing I can't handle... "Often enough." Her reply was curt, an attempt to at least seam disinterested, something only helped by his inability to see her face and the muffledness of her voice. "Did meet earlier, is true. G-" She had to stop herself from directly challenging him, at least while they were in a public setting, stifling the provocation before it could leave her mouth and quietly growling into her helmet. "Suprised first thing you do after meeting like that is go to a bar."

  13. Daeran had already started to tune the brat out as he turned to drag her towards the hatch, not caring for the attitude after the kind of day he'd had. He hadn't expected her to suddenly step in front of him to shove him back, before plopping herself on his lap and locking herself in place with her... tail? She hadn't had one a second ago as he'd yanked her out of the seat, had it been wrapped around her underneath her sweater-dress? He shook his head, letting out low, annoyed, growl. "And what makes you think I want some backwater CEN scientist's brat in my machine?" If her father was actually as important as she'd said then maybe he was playing with fire, but he didn't have it in him to care; he had faith in his Captain to keep that man's reach where it belonged.

"And you don't have permission to be in my machine, Thesephine; if you were, we would've been briefed on it. So I suggest you take the hint and leave before I think of some other 'cute' names to call you when I make a report about this to the Captain. Just because you're some scientist's daughter doesn't mean you have permission to go as you please, and I don't have time to entertain you. The order to scramble could come at any second, what do you think happens if you're found to be messing around with a machine when that happens, hmm?"

He huffed, then sighed, refusing to resign himself to playing babysitter just yet. If he couldn't scare her off with that, then he didn't know what else he'd be able to do aside from drag her kicking and screaming out of the HEX, and he didn't have it in him to go through the mess that would make.

Alriana made her way to one of the bars she frequented, Elegy - one of the nicer ones, where a... Disturbance was unlikely to happen. It was unlikely that any of her 'assignments' would show up in the seedier places around the city; not the high priority ones anyway. She scanned the bar as she entered, her visor hiding her eyes flicking from one person to the next as searched for any familiar faces or builds. No 'targets' in sight, but as she approached the bar her eyes fell on a familiar face, her stoic expression shifting into a toothy smirk. She wasn't supposed to kill anyone on the Dawn, not yet anyway, but that didn't mean she was prohibited from interacting with them.

She took her seat in direct view of Leon, as if to challenge him to do something about it. She kept her head facing forward, as if she was addressing the bartender, but she was side-eyeing him through her visor. "The usual." Came her muffled voice from her helmet, identical to what Leon would've heard during their little standoff. She made no outward sign that she'd even noticed Leon, leaving the ball squarely in his court. The man seemed a hothead, or at the very least very prone to act. Her attention had been elsewhere during the meeting, but that hadn't stopped him from running his mouth. Would he take the bait, or would she just end up bored? It was out of her hands, at least if she didn't want Tokiwa to nag her about it.

  14. "Mhmm." There wasn't much need for words, not as the cowards fled as they effectively stormed their castle. These were supposed to be elites, a threat comparable to the Underground. Were they waiting in the reserves? Or was the only thing threating about them the weapons they carried? Time would tell - not a single one of them would be leaving here alive.

  15. Despite his night vision being no better than a normal human, Cyrus could still make out the distinctive shape of a rider soaring through the night sky. He couldn't be certain of the mount, but either way charging forward into an open field would just make him an easy target for the rider. His armor would protect him, yes, but only to a certain degree, and there was no guarantee the other bandits wouldn't see a chance to dogpile him. The only logical course of action was to form a wall with Kagi to whether the approaching rider.

Cyrus to 13, 20, heal Kagi again.

  16. Daeran didn't know the sort of response he had been expecting from the augmented girl in his seat, but it for sure he hadn't expected her to try to lord her "authority" over him. As a politician's son he was admittedly more used to dealing with this sort of behavior from his former peers than he would have wished, but at least it gave him a frame of reference here. Normally he wasn't one for conflict, he considered himself fairly mild-mannered, but with everything wearing on him his patience was at an all time low. "I certainly have more authority than a civilian, no matter who she claims to be the daughter of." Now that he knew he was just dealing with a privelidged brat and not an intruder his hand had moved off his sidearm, though not before one of the engineers had called out to him. Must've seen where my hand was...

His gaze shifted off the haughty brat in his seat down to the engineer, doing his best to wipe the annoyed expression off his face. "Nothing I can't handle, I should like to think." He really didn't want to waste one of the engineer's time with this, not when everything needed to be ready as soon as possible in case of Tokiwa making a move. He gave her a nod before moving further into the cockpit, approaching this... Ms. Adozosi - she hadn't given him her name.

"The cockpit of my machine is classified information as far as you're concerned, the fact that you're here without supervision, and likely without permission, means that you'll end up in world of trouble if I tell the Captain that you're here." His hand grabbed at her wrist, attempting to tug her out of his pilot seat. "And before you get uppity, you're not the only one with political clout on this ship. You may not be familiar with the name since I'm assuming you're from earth, but I'm the son of Staunton Vhane, the CEN's elected administrator of the Terminus colony cluster. Out here, my name carries just as much weight as yours. Now, I'd prefer if you moved out of my seat. I'm going to run some simulations."

  17. As Aegean's axe crushed the guard mid call for alarm, another came running down the hall with a lance that was actually meant to combat axes. No sooner had he rounded the corner the lizard darted out from her cover, daggers aimed his throat, throwing them as she slipped past his soon to be corpse. There looked to be more ahead around the bend, carrying weapons neither aspect of her wanted to be struck with. As long as she could maintain her range, and count on Versaris or Aegean to handle the other, there shouldn't be a problem.

Aly to 4,7 Iron Dagger Soldier 3.

  18. Daeran found himself one of the last to leave the room, leaving only Scylla and Alrenne behind once he finally pulled himself out of his seat. Between the poor sleep, the combat, the meeting at AHI and Ta- Tokiwa's message he was beyond beat, but didn't want to turn into bed so early in the day, lest he really mess up his sleep schedule. However, with his late departure from the meeting, it left him with little idea where a potential pair-up partner would be, not that he intended to set a foot off the Dawn right now. If he really was a target then he had no intention of putting himself, or anyone who would accompany him, in unnecessary danger. He would remain on the ship until the situation changed, lest he find himself spirited away due to Tokiwa's machinations.

Still, he refused to return to his room for now; the only thing waiting for him there was dread. He needed something mindless to do, with little critical thinking required. Before he knew it he found himself in the hanger, approaching the lift to his HEX... It took his brain a few seconds to process it, but the machine was active, and the hatch to the cockpit was wide open. Is one of the engineers running diagnostics on it? I don't see why they would, it held together fine and I didn't see much combat... He called the wire down to ride up and up he went to see a-- "Wh, What...?" He wasn't sure if he was hallucinating or if there really was a girl with golden wings seated in his pilot seat, messing with the console. She wasn't dressed the part of an engineer, and no way in hell she was part of the staff... He knew there were some civilians on board, but how the hell, and why the hell, would there be one in his cockpit? Unconsciously his hand started reaching for his waist, where he kept his sidearm. "Excuse me, but who in the hell are you?" Why the hell does everything happen to me?

  19. As they pulled into the secret port the lizard finally saw another ship, though the circumstances about it's docking quickly became apparent with the blood, debris, and the reaction one of their newest additions had once her eyes had landed on it. Alriana had no words for the sheep as she passed her, Cassandra and Syndra seemed to have it handled and she had no real relationship to the woman. For whatever reason, despite the recent bloodshed, there weren't any guards on the docks, allowing the Tigers uncontested entry into what these scum considered their castle, at least the lower levels of it anyway.

Versaris was quick to issue orders and Aegean was quick to follow, charging at the soldier at the bottom of the staircase. Alriana slinked along the wall, concealing herself, ready to pounce on the first unsuspecting piece of trash that wandered into her range.

    Aly to 6,4

  20. Alriana tumbled down with the man, in no way able to keep standing after her 'hit' on him. In a real fight it wouldn't have been her head making impact, but rather her teeth tearing into his midsection; she was sure the Lufirian knew as he was quick to get out from under her, not that it bothered her. She didn't want to spend any extra time on top of him, she had just been too spent to move. She laid there like a lump until Versaris had come over, attempting to return his smile between labored breaths. She couldn't stop the huff at Lucretia's complaining, quietly mumbling out a "you lucky it wasn't my teeth that 'hit' with". She let Versaris pull her to her feet as she finished her mumbling, watching Jeremiah turn towards other Tigers that were still in need of training. Her feelings for the man remained conflicted, even with his supposed apology, the Creation unable to quiet the Voice entirely.

True to what Cassandra had envisioned for her, Alriana sat in the crow's nest, watching the water for any sign of enemy ships. The job had been surprisingly boring, not a singular ship in sight during the entire voyage. From what she had been told, they had been expecting for there to be at least some vessels in water for her to spot, otherwise they wouldn't have put her up in the crow's nest. As there destination came into view she remained on alert, yet at the same time ready to scramble down the mast if the need arose.

  21. Daeran had pulled himself out of bed as the meeting was called, still stewing on the messages that Tam- Tokiwa had managed to somehow get to him via RoundTable. He been silent the whole meeting, his arms crossed as he sat straight up in his chair. It seemed like they had finally gotten the information that had been sent to Hannah organized, indicating that the next target was a CEN facility on loan from AHI. Aside from that, he was too caught up in his own thoughts to pay much attention to the meeting. Now would be the time to reveal what he'd received via message over RoundTable, all the pilots, the Captain and XO, were present. Yet he still held his tongue, unsure if he should speak the information so unrestrained; it was something that could color the entirety of their mission on Callisto if handled improperly. He needed to speak to the Captain in private, if at all, regarding this information to see what she made of it.

He wasn't even the only staying silent, Marcus, Scylla, Iskra, Kazue, and Leon all were silent as well. Leon and Kazue he understood given what had happened at AHI... Maybe the rest of them had picked up on the seriousness of the meeting, or maybe they just didn't have much to say. If it helped him get through this meeting silently, then he was all for it. His head was too muddled by everything to make a meaningful contribution.
