Because there wasn't an argument from you. All you said is "Nino is good". And she is...even though anyone can be good in an easy game.

You don't get it, as much you don't get the whole arguement.

And that my friend, is how debates really work.

lolwtfbbq That statement is basically as relevant as my statement.

But then again, normal mode is pretty easy; any unit can be good in normal mode, even more so if you use the arena. Did I or did I not just say that? I'm more concerned about hard mode because not every unit in it is good. When in the world did I get personal? Am I the one yelling? I have proven something: she's tough to use in hard mode. So, how is she not? Did I even bash or flame you? No, I bashed and flamed Nino. Maybe because it's better than actually working to get a good unit? Isn't the point to beat the chapter as fast and as efficient as possible? Don't I get that with units that are good with little or no effort? Aren't those types of units useful? Like I said, I'd rather get me a unit with the same battle results as Nino for less effort. If I want a unit with shiny green stats, I'll just go to the secret shop and spend all my arena money on stat ups. There isn't a whole lot of difference between a unit with 23 speed to a unit with 28 speed. They're both going to double the same amount of enemies. Hey, even Oswin doubles alot in normal mode. It's too damn easy. Just like there isn't a whole lot of difference between a unit like Marcus and Nino. They're both killing the enemies just the same so there isn't much of a point. Prove to me she is a good unit. I already said anyone can be good in normal mode because it's pretty damn easy. All I get from you is "Nino is a good unit if you choose to use her." I actually gave real scenarios on why she sucks.

Since when? When is having a unit that is good for a couple of chapters better than having a unit that is good for most of the game? And that unit has probably contributed more than Nino ever will. How is she a good unit? I seriously don't know. She only gets good if you're extremely biased towards her. I can use her, or I can use a unit with the same results with less effort. You haven't really proven a whole lot. All you did is say that she's good. Big whoop. In normal mode, she's indeed easy to train. But then again, normal mode is pretty easy; any unit can be good in normal mode, even more so if you use the arena. example: Marcus attacks enemy Mercenary Marcus kills enemy Mercenary Nino attacks enemy Mercenary Nino kills enemy Mercenary Where's the difference? They both kill the enemy Mercenary. There's no doubt that Nino has better stats than Marcus; however they both yield the same results. Then again, Marcus has other things, like the full weapon triangle, high movement, and being the best unit for half the game. But we don't care, right? Normal mode is pretty much easy. In hard mode, she pretty much sucks. The enemies are tougher and you yield less experience, making Nino tougher to train. Also by the time you get her, the units you are using are probably better than her, so I don't see why you're using her, over what I assume is a promoted unit that has been contributing more than she has. In the chapter she comes in, she has to worry about a Bolting spell that kills her. Or she can go the other way and get killed by a bunch of units, some that can attack from a distance. The only way she's going to live is if she gets protected. Why does she need protection? Because she sucks. In the side quest, the situation is even harder. You're facing a bunch of flying units that can go in the back lines and go rape her, and ballista and Sonia that can one hit KO her. Massive suck. It's either having to protect her while she kills things for less experience or leaving her somewhere safe, taking a better unit that doesn't need as much protecting, and finishing the chapter faster. The next chapter is a cake walk in normal mode. She can use the Knights/Generals in the middle, or Cavs/Paladins from the top for easy experience and by this time she's grown a good amount of levels. In hard mode, she's going up against magic users whom do a good number on her, and she can't do a whole lot back. From the top, she's facing Valks that kill her. From the left, she's facing Shamans and Druids that have triangle advantage over her. In the middle, she's facing high resistance Monks and Bishops. There are also the random Heros in the chapter. From there, it gets easier, but 31x has Kishuna and the last chapter she's outclassed by Athos, and that's only if you don't factor in your rest of the team, probably fully supported, and probably at a higher level. So I'm not seeing how she's a good unit.

Even without the arena, your main units should still be better than Nino, even if she gets abused. Why? Because being good units for the whole game>being the "best" for a couple of chapters. Also, you're units should be leagues ahead of Nino when she joins, solo chapters easier than she can, have supports to increase their combat ability, and still be better than Nino. The whole "None of my other units turn out nearly as well." comment isn't really that good in an argument because it isn't really a fact; it's more like an opinion. And opinions mean nothing in an argument. Also, I do know Matthew and Legault are awesome units. They just don't get as much out of the Nino treatment as others units do because they level up easily and are going to have to wait a good amount of chapters until they get better (promotion).

However, Erk does come earlier, making him the better unit. Erk is an amazing unit and I'll prove it if you want tl;dr. The point is, if you're name isn't Marcus, Matthew, or Legault, any unit that gets the Nino treatment can be a good unit. That means Nino isn't that good.

Nearly any unit in this game that gets to kill all the units in one chapter can be a good unit. Thing is Nino can't be a good unit without extreme bias.
  10. The tier lists at FEFF are probably the most accurate because they've spent years debating on it.

People need to start playing Hard Mode if they're going to say Nino is a good unit.
  12. A tier list for this game sucks because there isn't anything to judge you on how well you play. That and Seth can go right ahead and solo hard mode. Games with rankings (FE4-FE7) do need lists. EDIT: However, if you're making this list based on how fast you finish chapters... Gerik, Franz, Tethys higher Forde, L'Arachel, Ewan lower
  13. Seriously, you can do a prepromote runthrough in Hard Mode. It's not that hard, and some prepromotes are better than you think. Percival is an amazing unit, and with Cecilia, Klein and Douglas to lean on, he wrecks even Hard Mode. Klein supports Percival and has HM bonuses. Echidna makes Bartre obselete, especially if you're using Lalum. She has good bases all around and she easily S-Ranks both weapons she uses. Garret is also not half bad of a unit. He's a Berserker and in HM, he comes with 50+HP and 20+ Strength at lvl 1. Marcus supports Roy, which helps him alot. Cecilia's stats suck bad, but she's going to be by far your most useful unit here. She's your only healer for a good chunk of the game. She uses Anima which helps out her crap Magic and Skill, and she can Aircalibur the endgame. Her suck defenses are made up with supports. Also, go to Ilia. Dayan is good, but he's not worth the trouble against the bunches of nomads you're going to face.
