You know, since even the Japanese version of the world map is in English, is it possible that the English names were made first, and then translated into Japanese? It would explain the unusual lack of changed names, too.

I'm still going through the article, but where did you get that idea from?
It isn't from this article specifically, it's something that has been shown repeatedly from all the pieces of gameplay footage we've been shown so far. But it basically comes down to the stat screen:
SpoilerNotice how there's no room for a second or third movement type in the list of skills. The only movement type shown is Armor, which will presumably be switched for Flying or Riding if you change into one of those classes (sadly I haven't found an image of a flier or rider to compare with). "But Druplesnubb", I can hear you say. "Surely that thing in the bottom right could be a placeholder for a second movement type." Well no. First of all, if it was a "placeholder" or an "empty" slot, it wouldn't make sense for it to have an exp bar that is partly filled. And it would also mean that regular infantry units should have two of them, but they don't.
SpoilerMy guess is that this represents "class mastery", which is something that we've been shown you can build exp towards, but still haven't gotten any explanation for what it actually does. That would at least explain why it shows an icon of the unit in its current class.
The same thing can also been seen when checking the shop:
Spoiler -
It looks like Armor and Riding are mutually exclusive, so no Great Knight I'm afraid.
-
There's a fairly obvious reason why Petra wants Riding instead of Flying or Swords (and why Lysithea wants Faith instead of Reason). If Petra is good at Flying, and you need to be good at Flying to recruit her, then congratulations; you've just recruited a superfluous character! Oh, and all the other characters you can recruit with your high Flying skill are also specialized in Flying, so have fun with that! It makes sense for the characters to demand Byleth to train in something different than what they themselves will be training in, so that the game doesn't encourage you to homogenize your party.

It's technically not even confirmed that she has a second crest, at least not at game start.

Hresvelg is the name of the imperial capital. The title only confirms that Edelgard comes from there, which pretty much anyone could have guessed.

I don't think Seiros or Nemesis count as knights.

Ah? Her eyes changed into the "dragon eye" that's unique to manakete in the series while fighting Nemesis? Just like Mila in SoV?
Okay, I think I get it now. Still, that could very well have been Sothis or someone instead of Seiros. They show Seiros right beforehand, but they jump between scenes a lot and the lighting changes a lot when they switch to the shot of the eye.

I mean so far we haven't see any image of Seiros in the present day, all the cutscene were from her fighting Nemesis a few hundred years ago.
Maybe she's dead, or has departed from the land. If she's still alive, it makes one wonder why she's not active ruling the empire or the church like Mila did.
Of course maybe she's sleeping/sealed away like Tiki or Idunn was.
You still haven't explained why the hell you think the recent trailer somehow confiremd her being a manakete.

Seiros is pretty much confirmed to be a manakete in the recent trailer, but not sure if she will be present in the game;
Umm...no?

Where does it say that Marianne isn't recruitable?
-
So the Serenes Forest summary of the article doesn't mention anything about the blurbs next tot the three leaders. Do they reveal any new information about them?

I think Sothis' default class will either be in dragon form all the time or do the Laguz thing of switching in and out as a specific command. Otherwise you would either have to deal with the weirdness of a little girl not fitting into single-tile corridors or the awkwardness of what happens if she gets attacked in a single-tile corridor. There's thus a good chance that Sothis' default class can't wield regular weapons, but there's no reason why you can't reclass her into something that can. as long as she has the Crest of Flames (which it looks like she does) then she shold be able to use the Sword of the Creator in any sword-wielding class.

Just wanna point out that the speaker mentions Attack on Titan at 4:35.
Edit: Harry Potter is at 4:59.

Lucina's support with her sibling is literally all about how only some members of the bloodline can use it and her sibling is among those who can't (or rather they think they're among those who can't). And I'm pretty sure the Fates weapons only chose one user at a time? At least that's how I remember it but I can't remember anywhere where it's explicitly stated.

Shouldn't the next issues be on the first and third weeks of July?
-
There was also Echidna in Binding Blade, though.
-
There should be other sword and axe classes for females, but are there any other that specialize in both?

Calling it now. The three villain-looking characters are from Albinea, thus their weird skin colour. Albinea is called that because its inhabitants all have albino skin.

Website updated (but still doesn't have Catherine...), his full name is Linhardt von Hevring
Yes it does, it's had her updated since sunday at least, probably saturday. They've even correctly moved her from the "Church of Seiros" to the "Knights of Seiros" section.

Why am I the only one who noticed that they've remixed the main theme for the background music? It sounds absolutely amazing!

These two comments said that both Lorenz and Hilda were "retainers"

And here she said that no "retainers" could be recruited.

So the fact that we have another likely playable character with the crest of Charon does not bode well for Lysithea's chances.
On the other hand we are starting to see some minor details that the leak got wrong. For example Thanibomb said that Lorenz would be one of the students that you can't recruit to the other houses, yet some of the gameplay footage showed that you could recruit him. She also said that Catherine would have the nickname "the Thunder", but that seems to be the name of her sword instead. She also wrote that Byleth's sword would be called the Sword of Creation and Byleth's crest would be the Crest of Creation, but they turned out to be called The Sword of the Creator and The Crest of Flames instead.

You really should remove the part about Marianne being unrecruitable. You only added it in the first place because someone claimed that a Spanish video said that, which was then debunked by several people who know Spanish. If I tricked people into thinking that the Flame Emperor is recruitable, and you added that to the compendium before i was found out, would you insist on not removing it as well?
Also it's false that Ingrid is the only one who's family name doesn't correspond to her elite crest. The same is true for Lysithea as well, and possibly some other characters.
Finally the character profiles for Byleth, Sothis, Jeralt, most of the Garreg Mach staff, Death Knight, Flame Emperor, Solon and Thales.
