  1. Just looking through the list again..... Things that should rise: -Clefairy: Comes early, evolves with the moon stone, has decent stats, a large TM pool, learns Softboiled and gets STAB Mega Punch/Kick. -Jigglypuff: Same as Clefairy but with worse stats and it lacks Softboiled (which is a shame because he would actually use it better than Clefairy) It's at least better than bottom tier. -Voltorb: Shows up right before the Rock Tunnel, has high speed and OK special attack. He should at least be above Electabuzz. -Koffing: Has access to Flamethrower, Shadow Ball and Thunderbolt, which come off decent attacking stats. In addition, it has 1 weakness and solid defensive stats, it's only issue is availability. Things that should drop: -Machop: It's slow as dirt, not really that bulky and fighting type attacks are actually pretty bad mid-game due to the abundance of ghosts, psychics, and poison types. -The Hitmons: See Machop, except they don't have speed issues. -Tangela: A pure grass type with a crap movepool and bad availability; enough said -Magmar: Shows up before the last gym and slightly under-leveled. Also fire isn't really an in-demand type during late-game.
  2. Is Caterpie really worse than the fossils? Those guys have way worse availability and come at level 5
  3. By the time Zapdos is even available all the rock/ground types have gone away until Victory Road and Giovanni's gym Normal stab? Let's not get carried away here, its not like it hits anything for super effective damage. Besides Pidgey only has access to low powered normal-type attacks, coming off a mediocre attack stat. 35 x 1.5 = 52.5 It's lower mid at best -Middling stats -Sparse movepool and poor coverage -Late Evolutions You think this is upper mid material?
  4. Well if that's the case then Clefairy needs to rise out of bottom, because it has comparable stats to Rattata (less speed, better defenses), has a larger TM pool and will reach it's final form sooner. It also gets STAB Mega Punch 83/75/70 isn't anything special defensively lategame. He doesn't learn gust until level 9 and is dead weight at the 1st gym, meh vs Misty and terrible vs Lt. Surge, etc. etc. Aside from Eirika his gym track record isn't very good at all
  5. 4.5/10 He can steal Callech's Hoplon Guard and grab the Warp staff in the same turn
  6. Why is Pidgey in Mid High?
  7. Calm yourself. Ephraim route Cormag has 82 base accuracy with a Javelin and 87 with a killer lance, if you factor in enemy avoid at that point in the game, which ranges from like (5-20) his hit rates vary from 62-77 with a Jav and 67-82 with a killer lance, and when you are borderline on doubles that is not good. Maybe you think 70ish hit is alright mid-game, but I do not So? Why in the hell would anyone field someone with hit rates that bad? especially during late-game of all things?
  8. 7/10 he's decent but his base accuracy is shit and he has doubling issues without early promotion, but he flies so that helps him a ton EDIT: His low base luck also leaves him open to random crits
  9. 3/10 he's awesome sauce when trained but comes too late
  10. .5/10 Pretty useless. Under leveled for eternity, and joining with a crappy 'D' rank in staves is pretty much inexcusable for her join period.
  11. 7.5/10 I think he's much better than Forde, because Forde is too much of a jack of all trades
  12. With what? Tackle and Rollout?
  13. ??? Why is Marill in high? If I recall you can't even get it until Surf is available, which is essentially half way through the game
  14. judging by these ratings Ephraim will be scoring lower than Eirika Anyway 8.5/10 probably one of your best fighters with little effort even if he's not on horseback
  15. 6.75/10 +Strong early-game +High speed means he doubles for the entire game (even against those pesky Mryms and Mercs) +Access to a promotion as early as Ch. 10 on Ephraim route (no competition since Ross blows and Garcia is bad at this point) +Good Con -Swordlock -Average move
  16. 2.9/10 Kind of... a burden until she promotes
  17. 1/10 Earlygame archers are rarely good and Neimi is no exception
  18. Is this a list for Emerald? I've only played Sapphire/Ruby Disregard my posts
  19. My post wasn't to say Torchic > Mudkip, I was just stating a there isn't a tier difference between them, but your recent post has just convinced me otherwise. Oh and Blaziken thoroughly destroys Steven, the only guys he may have a problem with is Metagross and Cradily.
  20. I didn't realize Hoenn had that many Pokemon But anyways... I don't really think Mudkip is really that much better than Torchic that he deserves a tier to himself... And Aron > Geodude? Aron's movepool is fairly lacking and he evolves very late. Geodude evolves earlier and has a better movepool. I could easily see him being better than Aron. Electrike and Voltorb should move up as well. And I c/s with those who said Ralts should drop
  21. 6/10 He's pretty good early game, but his midgame is awful and his lategame is only possible if you glue Garm to his palms
  22. 4.5/10 Has speed issues just like his dad, but Luck kinda alleviates some of his avoid problems
