I have no idea why anyone would go Mortal savant with Felix or any character for that matter. Mortal savant itself does not make a lick of sense in this game. It only has a +1 base modifier for speed and a minus growth 10% in speed, and you are supposed to progress into this class from one of the other sword classes who all have higher base speed modifiers and speed growths? You lose 20/30% speed growth if you go into this class from an advanced swordie. The only persons I think are worth going mortal savant are the pure mages who can abuse levin swords, sadly Manuela has a weakness in reason or this class might be the best option for her since her high growth in speed could counter the minus growth in speed and black/dark mages are better of going into a dark knight or gremory anyway. Mortal savant is a waste of space in this game, seriously it needs to be buffed. Its supposed be a better swordmaster by giving them magic, but the minus growth in speed and only +1 base speed ruins this class. It should have at least +3 base speed and a +10% growth in speed. This way black/dark magic users and swordies would like to go into this class. Quite a shame since the class looks cool as hell. Why they gave this class only +1 base speed and on top -10 growth in speed is a complete mystery for me since most of the other master classes are broken. If you get Felix early, Wyvern Lord is always an option because the class itself is just broken. War master is also good and as sword character it would either be a swordmaster or assassin. Assassin can even upgrade into a bow knight.

I don't know about other routes, but on edelgard's route leonie c-support is missable pre-timeskip. You probably have to c-rank her before chapter 9. I c-ranked both rhea and leonie after chapter 9 and I was locked out of their support.

Flayn, Edelgard route 😭

All I know is you lose flayn and mine was the dancer so yeah that really hurt me and I really disliked it. Flayn was my girl and then she ditched me and was super murderous the chapter after.

It is actually rather easy to B-rank them if you are a high proffesor level. I was A+ proffesor rank in the last month before timeskip and I B-ranked many students in one day wich I had no support rank with. Eat food with the student and get a perfect Tea time with them(save before inviting for tea, because they might refuse you) and give them gifts they like. Singing in the choir.

I can confirm for you that multiple students can approach you in a month if you have B-support with them. The event is just random and can be triggered on any week day and you can soft reset every week until a student aprouches you. The best and easiest soft reset weeks are where you don't have to instruct your group, so that would be the first week after finishing a chapter(You do however have to skip the cutscenes to make the process faster and you may lose out on getting one or two support points this way) the last few days before the end of the month where you have to do your mission and sometimes the third week of the month because there are no lessons so you don't have to instruct your students. Soft resetting on the weeks where you give lessons to your students are the most annoying ones especially if you are a high proffesor rank and you want to change groups or instruct manually, it can eat a lot of time so you might want to choose auto to speed up this process, though I don't really recommend doing auto ever. With these methods I had my last 5 students approach me in the last month on the black eagle route. The black eagle route has 2 routes. She can only be recruited on the "default route" and only after the holy tomb battle in chapter 12. Which is the last month that you can recruit anyone on the default route. On the other route you have one less month to recruit anyone. At chapter 7 your stats might just no be high enough. You need B-rank weapon rank and around 18-20 in the stat without a support, with C-rank support the requirements become C-rank weapon and 13-15 in the given stat. With B-rank support it becomes D-rank weapon and probably 10 in the given stat. Hilda requires charm and axe weapon. Also can you confirm for me if for hilda the recruit option is available for you? If not you might have to wait until the last month before timeskip for it to appear.

Okay some information I want to confirm from my own findings. Hilda is only recruitable in one of the Black eagle routes and only on the last pre-timeskip month and from what I gathered she is recruitable from the get go on the blue lions route(I need confirmation for this but I have seen multiple post that indicate this). With no support level you need B-rank in weapon and 18 in stat(At least I had exactly 18 dex and B-rank authority with no support when I coud recruit ignatz and I couldn't recruit him when I had 17 dex, also needs confirmation). Each support rank lowers the recruirements by one full weapon rank and 5 points in those stats. When you have a B-rank support there is a chance that on a normal calendar day the students will come to your and ask you to join your class even if you don't meet the requirements. This is random and can trigger on any week day as far as I know and YOU CAN SOFT RESET for this and it might be possible that multiple students can come in one week(though it didn't happen to me). The chance doesn't seem that high though, even when I had 5 students with B-rank, I had to soft reset multiple times until one student came to me. I can however confirm that this can happen mutiple times a month. Even on the few days before the mission battle even the holy tomb battle (and depending on your choice on the black eagle route your very last chance that you can recruit someone). Some other notes ,C- rank Leonie is very missable. Casper's and Ferdinand's B-rank is post timeskip so they are harder to recruit, because you can't B-rank them. When you miss a support conversation your support can't get any higher no matter how much you increase your support points. I also missed out on my Rhea C support.

Could someone pm me on what the actual decision lets you recruit Hilda? I read somewhere that it was on chapter 10, but none of those descions impact her personnally. I am also on chapter 11 and I still can't get the recruit option for her. Did I miss my chance? Also another note I finished B-ranking another character and once again did not meet the requirements oif recruiting said character and she also offered to join my class, note that this seems to be a random trigger event because I resetted and it didin't trigger one week but after resetting it did trigger. I could recruit lysithea with B-rank with 11 mag and d-faith(she didn't come to me). So it seems the best way to recruit seems to be to b-rank everyone that requires mastery/stats that does not does not excel in and c rank the ones where the proffesor excels in.

Something I found out is if you B-rank support with someone they might ask you themselves on a random day to join your class even if you don't meet the requirements. For example, Marianne wanted to join my class when I reached B-rank support with her. I tried recruiting her myself when I reached B-rank but she didn't accept. My mag was only 10 and my riding was still E rank. A week later on the calender and she came to me herself asking to join my class. Same happend with Ingrid my flying was still E, but I B-ranked her and she wanted to join my class, she also didn't accept when I tried asking her myself. So I have been trying to B-rank most magic related and riding/armor/flying requirements. I also had a succesfull tea time with them so that might also add to the factor?
