She didn't really "Hide" that's the problem. She made no attempts at mimicking Monica's personally or at least someone who had spent a year in captivity. Rhea and Seteth had just found out there had been an enemy infiltrator in their school, you think they'd be on the look out for anything suspicious in the school. But apparently a student who disappear for a year and then show up with completely different personality somehow doesn't ring any alarm bells.

Doesn't look like anyone bothered anyway? And if Rhea or Seteth wanted to question Monica, I dont see how Ed would be able to convince them otherwise.

They are a big waste of a very interesting concept. Seriously, last survivors of an ancient high tech culture in Fire Emblem, how did they mess that up? Every single one of their characters seem to exist solely as hate sinks for players, they never seem to have much of a plan other than the usual "Villain wants to kill everyone" cliche. Kronya in particular really bugged me. She was possibly the most terrible infiltrator since the dawn of time and only managed what she did because everyone at the monastery decided to collectively hold on to the idiot ball (except Ed, Hubert and maybe Hilda) for 2 chapters. Think about it, their librarian and combat instructors had just turned out to be enemies in disguise, and now a long lost student suddenly returned and acted entirely unlike her previous self, or at least someone who had been traumatized by 1 year of imprisonment. You would think they would be suspicious or at least want to keep this student under close observation, but no, everyone just brush that off with "Oh it must be how she cope with stress!" and let her run around the monastery. It was REALLY dumb. Kronya openly attaching herself to Edelgard also made no sense, since it would draw suspicion to Edelgard when Kronya reveals herself. But once again, nobody bother to question Ed after Jeralt died. Also Claude telling you to run straight into the obvious trap was very out of character for him.

I try to pair everyone, so I'll just list favorites Crimson Flower: Edelgard/Lysithea (platonic): They share a lot in common and watching Edelgard acting like Lysithea's mom during their support was funny. Also (spoiler) Felix/Leonie (platonic?): Their support was very good and entertaining. Petra/Dorothea (Romantic?): Happened by accident, glad how it turned out though. Ferdinand/Marianne: They make a cute couple and I am glad to see Marianne happy. Verdent Wind: Claude/Ingrid: They already argue like an old couple. Byloth/Hilda: Hilda was adorable and funny. Sylvain/Mercedes: Crest babies! Lorenz/Marianne: Again, must ensure Marianne happiness Lysithea/Lindhardt: Gotta warp together.

Why do so many people want Ferdinand as a GK? It's slow for a mounted class and the stats are not great, Wyvern Lord, Bow Knight or Paladin are all better

Since Master classes take more investment than Advanced, I would rather have them be an improvements That said, we definitely could use more mastery rank infantry classes, especially the sword wielding variety, why do we have 3 different sword wielders in advance only to have 1 in master? Hero and/or assassin could easily be bump up to Master (increase requirement of Axe/Bow and improve their stats to match obviously). Mortal servents need a stat improvement to make its shtick more viable to most characters.

The real crime is the lack of a Triangle Attack animation... come on, even GBA games have those!

I prefer to make Marianne a dancer, Dorothea usually becomes a Gremory so she can Meteor twice a battle.

Rank A+ gives Weight -5 actually. Yea, you can at least use magic weapons before you get to the classes that let you cast spells. Great Knight should really have kept that weight -5, the class feels bland right now.

A better question: Why cant the Death Knight be recruited? I wouldnt be too worried about Dark Seals, outside of Hubert, few people get that much out of it. (Lysithea would love it, but she cant...) That aside, my non-Lysithea DK kills involved using some Gambits and then finishing him off with Ingrid or Sylvain (With Knightkneeler + Relic Weapon)

Just a matter of point of view really, if you have only played BE and GD, you probably think much less of DImitri.

Edlegard with Raging Storm is possibly one of the most OP character in the whole franchise. She can 1 turn solo her final level. Feels kinda silly not being able to cast any spells to use her MAG as Emperor/Wyvern though... at least bolt axe+ is a thing. Other students that are great in my experience after BE and GD are Felix, Petra, Hilda, Leonie and Lysithea. (Ingrid too I guess, though she might have STR problem due to her 35 strength growth) As for dancer, I like giving it to Dorothea, but unfortunately that means only getting one Meteor per battle....

Edelgard vs Serros is a rare case of villain vs villain in this franchise, it's like if Zephiel is fighting Loptyr. And IMO it is a great departure from the standard good vs evil trope most Fire Emblem games follow. On her path though, she reminds me a lot of Rudolf from Echoes, they both realized the religious institutions of their countries are deeply flawed and took some extreme steps to remove said institution.
