  1. Next duel, Ilyana (POR/RD) vs Mae (Echoes) While travelling with a merchant caravan, Ilyana spots an unopened picnic box and proceeds to eat from it. Turns out, it belongs to Celica and her companions. Celica attempts to avoid conflict, but an angry Mae confronts Ilyana and fires a bolt at lightning, causing Ilyana to drop a sandwich from the box. Ilyana and Mae duel, who wins?
  2. Next Duel: Valbar (Echoes) vs Benny (Fates) Valbar gets lost and accidently crosses the Nohr border. Benny, one of the famed border guards moves to apprehend Valbar. Who wins?
  3. Next duel: Shinon (RD) vs Takumi (Fates) Hunting unwittingly in the Hoshidan forest, Shinon and Rolf gets ambushed by an attacking Takumi. Takumi informs them that the punishment for illegal hunting in the Hoshido Royal forest is death. Sending Rolf away, Shinon gets into an archery fight with Takumi. Who wins?
  4. Personally, I was thinking that a film covering the first half of Path of Radiance would be suffice, with a reduced number of characters. I can imagine Greil, played by Liam Neeson (or a similar mentor actor) leading his mercenaries with his son Ike, his daughter Mist, his crew of Titania, Soren, Rolf, Shinon and Gatrie. Titania shares some horror stories involving the 4 riders of Daein. During the invasion of Crimea, Crimean Princess Elincia offers to pay for safe escort to the Begnion via Gallia. After a split vote, Greil accepts the contract. During a risky prison rescue led by Ike, they free a wondering swordswoman called Mia and she joins them. Greil is killed by the Black Knight in the rescue mission. After burying Greil, Shinon and Gatrie leave as Elincia cannot pay them upfront. More stories of Greil is told by Titania. Finally the mercenaries escape an ambush by Daein soldiers led by Jill, but the ambush fails due to the unexpected presence of laguz. Isolated from her men, Jill surrenders to Ike and Ike allows her to join them. The story ends when the king of Gallia, Caineghis, grants them passage to Begnion to meet Apostle Sanaki. He sends Lethe to accompany them. *********************************************************************************** If the movie does well enough, it can get a sequel. Things that will make the movie unique would be the presence of laguz, and a grid-based map whenever a battle ensues. Furthermore, the hit percentages can be displayed during the fight scenes. The weapon triangle can also be introduced in the lore.
  5. Ingrid would win because she has a crest and a pegasus. Kaze might be hard to hit, but his damage output is low compared to Ingrid. She only has to hit him once. Next duel: Volke (POR/RD) vs Kagero (Fates) Two assassins have a contract to kidnap each other. Who wins?
  6. Ok, next duels: Marcia (RD) vs Est (Echoes) While on a trip to Begnion, Est is mistaken as Marcia, and gets local privileges (like free lodging etc). Marcia hears reports and angrily confronts Est, accusing her of impersonating a Holy Guard. They duel. Who wins? Ryoma (Fates) vs Catherine (Three Houses) Ryoma hears rumours of a talented swordsmen in Fodlan. He sends a challenge to Catherine to a duel to take place in front of a small audience in Hoshido. Who wins?
  7. Mozu would lose to Donnel. Donnel has superiority in armour with that pot on his head.
  8. Ok, next fight! A: Brom (RD) vs Effie (Fates) While travelling, Effie tramples across Brom's farm to look for food. Brom, thinking Effie is a bandit draws his weapons to duel her. Who wins? B: Frederick (Awakening) vs Clive (Echoes) In an annual jousting tournament, many cavaliers find themselves in duels with each other. Both Frederick's and Clive's names were called. Who wins? C : Rowan and Lianna (Warriors) vs Alfonse and Sharena (Heroes) The nobles are visiting each other and agree to a friendly duel. Which family wins?
  9. I will list some units per game: Nyx (Conquest) I like her lore, and there's a mystery about her. Even though she joins late with inferior stats, I try to push her to join me in the final battles. Charlotte (Conquest) I am not too sure why many players rate her poorly, but I find that giving Charlotte a high accuracy weapon helps her crit a lot. She defeated Garon on my playthrough. Sonya (Echoes) While Deen is the better choice, I enjoyed Sonya's lore better. I also deployed her in the final battle. Mia (POR) Mia is one of my favourites units in POR. Despite having low HP and defences, I enjoyed watching her dodging killing blows and reply the enemy with a crit. Ashe (Three Houses) Ashe is does little damage, but he was vital for my team (as a lockpicker). I did not want to always buy chest keys.
  10. Imagine you are tasked to direct a Fire Emblem movie to attract newcomers to the franchise. A) What would be the rough storyline? B) Who would you cast? C) How would your movie be different from yet another generic medieval fantasy flick? Discuss in the replies below!
  11. My first FE game was conquest. In that first foray, Effie pulled off clutch saves and defences for me. So Effie has a special place in my heart. Other contenders: Camilla (Fates) Mia (POR) Alm (Echoes) Ferdinand (Three Houses) NB: I am currently playing Radiant Dawn, so I may update this eventually.
  12. I got a few: Introduction of guns/firearms I know that Fire Emblem takes place in a medieval fantasy world, but I think that early firearms can be introduced, similar to Expeditions: Conquistador or Pillars of Eternity. Firearms may ignore defence stats and cause high damage, while being inaccurate and being unable to shoot over friendly units. Fire Emblem Cipher mini-game Similar to Gwent in the Witcher, I hope that FE Cipher can be included as a mini-game between battles. This will be a good send-off and shout-out to Cipher. Playing Co-op in campaigns or scenarios I hope instead of PVP, local and internet multiplayer can be included cooperatively as allied units, similar to Wargroove or Pandemic.
  13. Let's make things more interesting by including certain scenarios. A) Charlotte (Fates) vs Hilda (Three Houses) The Nohr knights are having drinks at a local tavern, when Charlotte spots visiting nobles from the Leicester Alliance. Thinking Claude is rich, Charlotte starts flirting with Claude. This makes the accompanying Hilda uncomfortable, and she puts her hand on Charlotte to pull her aside. The two ladies start brawling. Who wins? B) Lyn (Blazing Blade) vs Lucina (Awakening) Lucina wakes to find herself in the middle of the Sacean Plains. As she is heavily a patrolling Lyn mistakes her for a bandit. The two are engaged in combat. Who wins? C) Micaiah (Radiant Dawn) vs Celica (Echoes) At night, Micaiah wanders into a forest alone to ponder about her future. She bumps into a praying Celica. Sensing remnants of possession in Celica, Micaiah attempts to exorcise Celica via light magic. Celica dodges the blow. The two start firing spells at each other. Who wins?
  14. Agree. Camilla would rip Dean apart. Ike is considered one of the strongest Lords ever in FE, so Alm has little chance. Altina has survived and thrived during war between gods, so she has an advantage there. Hartmut is not match for her.
  15. A: King Ashnard vs the Black Knight I would say the BK because he crits more often. Lore-wise, BK has done more fieldwork than Ashnard, and thus more experienced in dueling. B: Julius vs Lyon Would say Julius, because you basically need the help of the princes Seliph and Ares to combine forces to defear him, while Lyon is defeated by Ephraim. Lore-wise, Julius embrace his possession from the start while Lyon could resist a bit. C: Ashe vs Caspar In a straight-up fight, Caspar would win as he has more experience dueling in his youth. If it was a smart fight, Ashe may pull out a victory vy using his surroundings and knowledge as a thief.
  16. Two Fire Emblem characters enter, and one leaves the duel a victor. For this thread, I will be suggesting two Fire Emblem characters/teams to duel, and invite any readers to discuss and response. Readers, feel free to continue this thread by posting dream duels, just bear in mind the following: 1. The duelers should be a roughly on an equal combat skill level (i.e. no "Mist (from Path of Radiance) vs Ganon (from Fates)" 2. At least one of the participants must be from a Fire Emblem Series. 3. Disagreements allowed, but please be civil. 4. You may write a short narrative of the duel, but it must have a winner. Thus without further ado let us discuss the following match-ups: A) Mia (POR/RD) vs Hana (Fates) B) Conrad (Echoes) vs Ferdinand (Three Houses) And the main event: C) Chrom (Awakening) vs Sigurd (Genealogy)
  17. How about this: Introduction of fire arms and vehicle combat Guns in Fire Emblem made to follow mechanics similar to Pillars of Eternity and Expeditions: Conquistador. (i.e. the guns ignore defence stats and cause massive damage; guns also are inaccurate, cannot shoot over friendly units and take a long time to reload). As for vehicles, they can follow mechanics like Advance wars, and can take place when the party is travelling over a great distance.
  18. I will list one character per game (that I have played). Fire Emblem Fates: Odin Odin is one of the most useless characters I ever encountered. He may talk a big game, but he is crap in using magical attacks even though he was a mage. On top of that, he dresses horribly. Fire Emblem Echoes: Forsyth Forsyth is a soldier unit who joins Alm's team underleveled. Problem is, you already have a soldier who can fufil that role -- Lukas. Lukas also has higher defences than Forsyth. The only thing Forsyth is good at is baiting witches. Fire Emblem Three Houses: Cyril While Cyril is has potential for great growth, I found him too whiny for my liking. So I didn't use him much. Fire Emblem Path of Radiance: Makalov I just couldn't stand a good-for-nothing for leeches off his siblings.
  19. I think one thing I find difficult to accept is that certain FE games forces you to adopt only a certain playstyle. This results in certain characters or classes almost being completely useless. For example, armour units in games with big maps like Genealogy of the Holy War and Echoes have limited usage.
  20. Hello everyone, I go by defensedefumer. I am from Singapore. I have played Path of Radiance, Fates, Echoes, Three Houses and Cipher. Hope to interact with you all!
