  1. To add on, enemies also have very low Luck stats. Luck determines magic avoid, so Annette can hit them accurately regardless of what prowess or breaker skills.
  2. -Not really. All Annette needs is Axe, Authority, and Reason, and maybe a few lessons in Flying and Lances. Easy to reach since 3/5 are her boons, and she just needs a C in Lances for WL and C in Flying for WR. Stay in WR until you reach WL. -Axefaire, Flying Canto, and +10 avoid are bad skills? -Annette should be your primary user for the flying magic battalion since she's more prone to fly than other magic users. -Okay? Not really a problem due to dismounting. - Again, you can dismount to get terrain bonuses. Bonus: Annette is not a good Dancer. Not saying she can't become one, but it's a poor choice. Like others said, she's forced to decide between Rallying and Dancing in which dancing will almost always come out on top.
  3. This, plus it gives him more opportunities to use his personal. He can open doors and chests without being hindered by terrain and can canto out it danger when he does. So WL Ashe is a legitimate build for him.
  4. The reason why it's such a strong combo is that you can refresh your powerhouse, give 'em a Spd/Dex/Lck boost, and have newly refreshed unit attack the enemy with a Accuracy and Avoid bonus. All in one go! That's the reason why it's so popular. Regardless of who you choose as a dancer, it always come with an opportunity cost. You are sacrificing the potential of a physical or magical unit in order to dance. Although, I'm definitely gonna try Dancer Ferdinand/Dimitri to see how far their avoiding capabilities can go lol.
  5. The effort of that is just about as immaculate as Rhea herself. I applaud you and that video
  6. What about Crit Flayn? A Flayn that can Crit almost every time she attacks? That sounds like an awesome challenge!
  7. Anna. I like Anna. The idea of having a merchant fighting on your army is pretty cool. Anyways, let’s see how much she brings to the table. Good Traits So Anna is the earliest Church of Seiros unit you can get at Chapter 3 I believe? And she’s free meaning that you don’t have to train in anything to get her. Have pretty solid(not amazing but decent) growths on her Has a budding talent in Riding, which gives her Pass, which is gimmicky but usable. Has Rescue and Meteor which is definitely a plus. The best faculty Training (imo) for Byleth and other Sword Users. Has a Crest, which means she can hold Hero Relic’s with no drawbacks. Axe boons=Brigand=Death Blow! Bad Traits 35% in both Strength and Magic is mediocre. Rescue and Meteor are dropped by this so unless you stuff Magic Boosters down her throat, you are not gonna get far with that. Despite her Crest, she doesn’t get a Relic Weapon suited for it and gets no benefit from others besides immunity to self-damage. Business Property is not a good personal ability for Anna. It give her + 5 in her luck, but Luck is pretty useless stat. I would’ve been happier if she gotten an ability where if she defeats her enemy, enemy has a chance to drop a bullion or a +weapon based off her luck, but alas, that would be BrOkEn! Bane in Reason means an uphill battle to get Meteor and Authority bane is always terrible on a unit. Her biggest and most noticeable flaw is her lack of supports. This is blasphemy! No supports means no bonuses on Might or Hit, which means Anna and her ally has to rely on themselves to push through. No support with Byleth, Ashe, Raphael and Ignatz, not even Jeritza. Pitiful! Overall Score: 2.5/10 Love her, but lack of support is her downfall. Even if she can do without, other units do her job better anyways...
  8. *Sigh*... Gilbert. Good Traits Can become a Paladin or Great Knight very easily due to boons in Lances, Axes, and Riding. Very decent Strength and Defense at 45% so he can hit moderately hard and tank moderately well. Emphasis on moderately... No banes anywhere, meaning he can be flexible with enough dedication. Bad Traits Is not available anywhere except the Blue Lion house, where most of your units are physical and can tank better than he can. Speaking of that, he is also available in Part 2, which means backtracking with him is gonna be a pain in the butt. If you do Dedue’s Paralogue which almost everybody will do, he will be virtually useless. Terrible 15% Luck and 10% Res means mean if a mage just sneezes in his direction ,he explodes. Not a good trait to have, especially due to the amount of mages in Blue Lions. 30% in Speed, better than Hanneman but not as good. And being in an Armored class just lowers that to 15%, which is not good. Oh, and enjoy getting doubled by almost every everybody, INCLUDING Armor Knight(Well, not really but catch the my drift.) Overall Score: 2/10 (Personal Bias: 1.5/10 because he left Annette the sweetheart behind) If you truly want to use him or you didn’t do My bro’s paralogue, then he can used. If not, just slap him on Dimitri or Annette and call it a day.
  9. Wow I didn’t know that! That is pretty cool! Which means that he to comes to you as a Warmaster basically. No wonder why people were confused about what I said, thanks!
  10. Well not a C+ in Axes, just a C. But that’s still pretty good. I consider it good.
  11. Ah Alois. The master of Dad jokes and member of the Jeralt Appreciation Club along with Leonie. Let’s see how well he does. Good Traits Comes to your house with great skill levels such as C+ in axes D+ in Brawling, and C in both Authority and Heavy Armor. This allows Alois to accumulate important skills such Weight -3 and Battalion Wrath, which is neat. He comes to you as a Warrior, meaning he can grab Wrath and stack with Bat. Wrath, if you could. Great guard adjutant for three of your best units: Byleth, Leonie, and Bernie, so if you need a guard for them then he comes to you prepared. Bad Traits You already know what it is, bad availability! Hooray! You get him so late within the game, recruiting him at Chapter 11. That is the second worse recruiting moment right after Seteth and SS Cyril and Catherine. Ugh.. Mediocre 40% in Speed. Not all that bad but not too good either. Sadly, a bane in Flying, which means a struggle to put him on the most OP class known as Wyvern Lord. 😔 Overall Score: 6.5/10 Pretty usable, not gonna be as good as your other units tho. But hey, free guard Adjutant!
  12. Ah, Manuela. Our alcoholic diva/professor of Garreg Mach. How does she work on the battlefield? Let’s see: Good traits Super fast with 60% and in the league with the Speed Sisters(Petra, Leonie, and Ingrid) Great Boon in Flying for Darting Blow, Falco Knight, and Dark Flier. Gets Bolting which is a nice siege time to have. Gets Warp, which sounds good right? Right... Bad Traits Like almost everybody else related to the Church, she has to get important abilities that your students should already have. Having both low Magic and Strength is bad. Ingrid also has this problem, but she can get important abilities earlier than Manny. She gets Bolting...with a Reason bane. It doesn’t relate to anything, she has that bane just to have it and that’s annoying! 😠 She gets Warp...but due to having low Mag, it has to coexist with another Warp user to get any benefit. Ingrid exists lol. Having almost identical stat growths with Better availability, no relevant banes on her, has a crest and a relic, and gets Physic and Seraphim in her Faith Spell list and Thoron on her Reason list... Big oofs for you Manuela. Overall Score: 3.5/10 She’s playable, but no matter what you do with her, somebody can do it 10x better.
  13. My favorite of the Church/Knights of Seiros. He’s like that grandfather you never asked for, but like him anyways. Let’s see how he does on the battlefield: Goods Traits 55% magic is nothing to sneeze at granting Hanneman almost guaranteed growths in Magic. Joins in the Mage class, which means he gets a useful and reliable ability if you train him up for it. Decent boons such as Bows(For Hit +20 and Magical Hunter’s Volley), Reason( For strict magic builds), and Riding(Move +1 and Canto) Gets Thoron and Meteor which gives him two long ranged options. This combined with very good Magic means you can do lotsa damage to enemies from afar. Schism Shot breaks down Res units so that your other mages can clean up and Ward Arrow being a spammable Silence is also pretty handy. Good traits, but what about the bad ones? Bad Traits Comes a little late to the party, and in this amount of time your mages already got Mag +2 and Fiendish Blow meaning he is a bit behind. Has a great Black Magic List, but a terrible White Magic List. The usually physical unit spells list + Ward. Why IS? And the most noticeable weakness: His awful speed.. Getting base 9 isn’t bad, but unless you feed him Speed Carrots, that 20% Growth in Speed is gonna hold that Speed down a lot. But just because it’s noticeable, doesn’t mean it breaks him. He is your mage that should do big chunks of damage, so Speed isn’t relevant when it comes down to Hanneman. Overall score: 6/10(Personal Bias:7/10) He might get outclassed by Dorothea in terms of Speed and Physic, but Hanneman is still very good as a pure offense mage.
  14. My first rating on a character so here goes: Flayn! Seteth’s little sister. Hmmm..I like Flayn, but you have to have a required taste to use her. Let’s talk about her good traits. Good Traits Comes to your class with access to Pegasus Knight which is an easy Darting Blow. Tied with Hubert and Hanneman with the second highest Magic Growth granting her oomph to her magic. Good Charm growth and comes into the group with high Charm meaning the best candidate for Dancer if need one. Rescue and Fortify are great White utility spells, with Rescue saving your units from tight situations and Fortify healing all your allies. Seal Magic is good, not amazing really. Bad Traits E rank in reason despite being a mid-late recruit and having a budding talent in it is terrible. Paper thin in terms of defenses. 25% in HP, and Def, mediocre 35% in Spd, and a terrible 15% in Luck. Big oof. Having to drop to lower classes to grab important abilities such as mage or Monk is... well it’s technically a bane for every Church/Knights of Seiros, but it’s still bad. Despite easy access to Pegasus Knight, she has nothing to help her excel in this class. She gets Frozen Lance way late into the game where she should be a strictly magical unit. There’s only one Magical lance in the game and she’s either locked out of it completely or gets it at the literal END of the route. Why??? Just outclassed in general. Your token healers (Mari, Lin, and Mercie) are way better due to having a reliable long range healing spell in Physic, which Flayn doesn’t have. Gremories such as Lysithea, Constance and Dorothea can excel very well in this class. Flayn has the right talents, but when she gets there she’s just a Rescue bot. Holy Knight, Dark Knight, and Dark Flier is good, but Mari pulls all three off incredibly. Dancer is your best option, but every units outclassed when it comes down to that class. Overall score: 4.5/10 Love her to bits, but alas she is gonna need a LOT of babysitting for her to pull her weight.
