  1. All mounted characters we have seen do not have Canto skill, so... maybe not?
  2. Not gonna lie, surprise post like this is kinda exciting in a way too, lol I don't think Sigurd gives Cavalry movement, he just gives Canto and +1 mov Also, I notice that the fence Cramme destroyed with his magic stays destroyed in the overworld too, just like when Marth dodge. Insane level of detail. Edit so I don't double post: I just rewatched past battle clips and found out that: - Infantry and Mage movement cost through bushes is 2. Calvary movement cost through bushes is 2 too - Flier does not get bushes avoid bonues
  3. Well that makes more sense, even though the contrast between scary story and beautiful scenery is more interesting
  4. I'm thinking the opposite: Etie and Axe bro might be the last characters who get preview, since they're the only characters left seen in gameplay but don't have previews of their own (Unless they want to show some key characters on the box art too, which I don't mind)
  5. Yes, Chloe's VA is Hayami Saori, who also voices Caeda, best girl Ayaka from Genshin Impact and Yor from Spy x Family. Her voice is so recognizable! Her class is Lance Pegasus, and I have a theory that Cavalier is also separated by weapon type, but they all promote into Paladin which can uses all of them. I still believe Vander can use more than just Axe, it's just he's never shown doing so Yes, it does indeed mean "Airborne"
  6. Interesting, the second pic of that tweet says the color flip between Male and Female Alear is something important
  7. Some more things I found out: - Louise's class is Lance Armor / Heavy Armor - Armor knight has 4 movement like other infantry now!
  8. Looks like arrows shot by the archer fall under his feet, which is insane attention to detail.
  9. I guess they just don't want to show any more characters. We did see every seemingly important early ones
  10. Actually that thief is 6 spaces away from Celine. So if dagger has 2 range, he will have 4 mov, which fits perfectly
  11. I just realized the character classes has 2 parts: Alear has Dragon Child/Dragon Race Vander has Paladin/Horseback Framme has Monk/Qigong Cramme has Mage/Magic Alfred has Noble/Horseback Celine has Noble/Magic I wonder what does the second part signify, since it's interesting that Vander and Alfred's is movement type, while Framme, Cramme and Celine's are weapon type. No idea what "Dragon Race" will do though.
  12. I hope he still has access to other weapons, their critical animations are just not revealed to us yet
  13. I think she actually says どうしたら信用してもらえるかしら..., which means "What should I do to be trusted..." Sorry if my reply is too late.
  14. Cut the preparing between battles. The monastery is way too much. Give us more late game units for ironman runs. On the topic of ironman, I'd like an official ironman option too (that will preferably unlock something cool) Cut back the class freedom. Branch class promotion and reclass are fine, but what I really like is set-in-stone 3-tier classes like in Radiant Dawn. That makes each units unique and different from each other performance-wise Better map design. That's a given. No open field, no ambush-spawn BS or anything like that. Shorter but more memorable supports. I like the way it is in Echoes, short but is still enough to show the characters. Long supports just make me don't want to read them. Also bring back the 2D sprite support (or maybe even Live2D sprite) instead of the 3D animation thingy in 3H And lastly, show, don't tell. 3H is really guilty of this. I would appreciate the game show me a cutscene or a battle scene to explain what is happening instead of dumping a text lore on me. EDIT: And make Anna relevant again! At least give her support with some of the cast, goddamn it!
  15. I think that FE stories even without an Avatar have always centered around a main character aka the lord, and many of them can be marketed as an Avatar with no ill effect. On the topic of whether or not they counts as an effective way for the players to self insert, since they are not a blank character and all, I'd say they are still good at their Avatar job, because their personality is barebone and weak enough player can still project themselves to the character. I think people rejects the whole idea of Avatar rather than the role of Avatar in the story. If Marth is the avatar but have the same role in the story, I fell people would still jump on the hate wagon against him right away. I still like the idea of Avatar, and I do understand the hate for them. I think the best way to compromise both is to let the Avatar have no influence to the main story whatsoever; they are just another soldier in the army and get the same respect, but let them have a personal, seperated character arc (can even tell the effect of the war through this), and can bond with the players' favorite characters aka making waifu and husbando. That way, the Avatar won't harm the main story, while still fufill their role effectively. (And no, Robin doesn't count. When I say no influence, I mean no influence whatsoever. The Robin worship without making them the main character is kinda jarring IMO. Go all the way, or none at all) I think Fates and Awakening characters has as much personality as 3H, but the horrendous supports and lack of screen time compared to 3H really destroy them.
  16. Here's my take, don't know if it's unpopular or not though: Avatars are great, and Corrin is one of, if not the best at their Avatar role: Let the player be involved in the story, be the main character. (Not defending their questionable choices though, but I blame that at Fates writing) Robin is the worst Avatar out of Mark, Robin, Corrin and Byleth (haven't play New Mystery, so I don't know about Kris). Their character is non-existent, but at the same time not really? If they want to do a blank character, do it all the way like Byleth or Mark. And their involvment in the story is half-assed too: Corrin and Byleth are great, Mark is pretty much removable so I don't mind them.
  17. - Donnel in Awakening. Training him is hard, but watching an one-man army is always worth it - Delthea in SoV. Girl just straight up nukes Duma so Alm can deal the finishing blow - Lysithea in 3H, since it is always fun to see her obliterate Death Knight with Dark Spikes T. She also destroys Dimitri in my Crimson Flower run. Oh, and Warp too.
