Kat: Why would one only preach the words of the sun? It isn’t the only star in the sky.
Pyron = debunked
Seriously... people on this planet (Earth) didn't even make the connection that Sol was a star until less than 200 years ago... Though admittedly the idea's been around for two-and-a-half thousand years.
I love how some characters really really stretch medieval knowledge in this hack but it still barely works (the Greeks knew about space, they called it "aether" and knew it was the stuff beyond the air... for all intents and purposes it was space)... that certainly shows that Blademaster at least researched that (or he got really lucky by assuming people in FE would know about space and stars and stuff).
SUDDEN TEXT DUMP BATMAN
Seriously, that was the LAST thing I expected out of this support.
I believe you mean "Holy." :P
I just adore the fact that information that could've been really useful as intro text or something is tucked away on an obscure A support that the player isn't likely to get... I mean, it's one of those moments when you aren't sure if this hack is for real or not. ^_^;

Better than being named something impossible stupid, like, like...I forget! I can't name anything off the top of my head!
Jello the Twice-Dead sends his love. :P
-
All the enemies in Hector mode were Nigel? SMASHING!
Aha...man, I still remember that support...
Between the Wild Thornberries and CATS, it makes me wonder if this hack was originally done in like 2001... then that would mean...
Blademaster came up with GBA FE first?!? XD
EDIT: DakXFlora is the best support ever.
-
...Really? Was this funny at the time of the hack's release?
CATS rocks. XD
Seriously, though, I do believe this is a case of Blademaster running out of ideas and whipping up a support in about three or four minutes...
-
Despite this though, the hack has a strange kind of...allure. It's weird, like bile fascination. Once you START playing, it's very hard to stop, even though the entire time you know you should. And when you're finished, you have to seriously question your life decisions. Think about it, why have you been reading this LP? Are you really enjoying it? Do you just want to see it finished? Is that the only reason? I'm guilty too, I went back for a SECOND run after I finished my first! I don't know what gives it this quality, but I do have some advice: Don't play it yourself, because it will be a massive waste of time.
I enjoyed this perfectly. You've given me the majority of my laughter over the last month and for that, I thank you. This hack is for laughter and over-the-top-incredi-units™ so that you can feel accomplished when you see all the stats flash in green; no more, no less and that's what I came into this thing expecting.
As for your advice, I may ignore it... just because it looks like way too much fun (at the very least I have to see Raptor's death in-sorta-person. I'm not kidding, I was unable to breath for 40 minutes the first time I saw that). But since you have done this LP, I may not... because you did it for me already.
EDIT: I think it's assured the Magiks team is going to come in last, especially with all the physical units aligned against them. As for the Silver, I think it'll be a tie between Females? and Partners.
I'll be super surprised if you lose.
-
Iforgothisname: Yes… my mother has been bested in combat.
Dude who killed Raptor: Gouki. Go to your father.
I don't know why, exactly, but I found Raptor's death to be so funny I was laughing weeks after the fact (maybe it was your commentary too). When I saw this I laughed my rear off... Is there something wrong with me? o.O
EDIT: Dwah, why couldn't we just Chill with Chill......boring boss of boringness forgotten! Moving on...
-
Like you, sir, I may have run out of witty things to say about this hack... XD
103 Crit lol... I was going to ask how the game handled that, maybe there would be a double-crit that would crash the game... What kind of glitches would ensue, I wondered.
But Donovan's promotional shenanigans really trumped any glitchy nightmares I could imagine... It's like Fire Emblem meets an acid trip.
-
IT'S STILL FRICKIN ROY!
Hey, I like Roy. He's plucky.
-
I do think that this entry in the series appears to be going a sort of Mass Effect route, if what we have speculated is true. Game heavily based on choice, avatar main character. If Jennifer Hale voice the female Kamui, then we will have three for three.
One of Robin's male voices sounded like Mark Meer (it wasn't him, though)Well, as I said before, that'd be sweet. An Avatar that changes into a Goodi-tar or an Evil-tar (or a Neutral-tar... but not a Minotaur, sadly) over the course of the game would be cool; maybe the Avatar even does stuff in the plot that the player didn't dictate based on previous game choices (eg. A Goodi-tar would spare a boss at the end of a certain chapter and you get a character, an Evil-tar would rabidly mutilate said boss and you get... I dunno, a white gem because the lout had it) but that's getting a little ahead of ourselves. We aren't even quite sure if this isn't an Alternate Universe Retelling of FE7 (it is called Fire Emblem: If.......) because that dancer really really looks like Ninian.
...Just as long as there isn't a bogus Deus Ex Machina child at the end who says stuff like "Hello, Neo, I created the Matrix," "Ergo," and "We kill organic life because organic life would've been killed by similar beings anyway," then we shall be good.
(...Annnnnnnd I opened up another can o' worms. Why do I do that? Bad Doc! BAD Doc!!!) *Ahem*

I thought of Awakening as a sort of head-canon game. Robin was bland so that the player can fill in his/her head-canon about various things (like how Robin deals with kids and stuff). Sure, it's lazy writing but wasn't Awakening supposed to be the last hurrah? (Thankfully not, but...) It makes sense that IS would make a game that was mostly an excuse for the fans to live out Gary-Stu-Mary-Sue fantasies as a "ending the series with a bang" thing.
Obviously that's not the case and here I am all giggly because there's a new Fire Emblem on the horizon (I need to get a life... maybe... nah)...
So I'll be hoping for an avatar that's not a Mary-Sue-Gary-Stu and instead the protagonist or lord. Though reclassing hasn't been confirmed (and it'd be welcome if they didn't have that; sure it's cool, but is it balanced?), if it is, I'd like to see Avatar being able to reclass to a few classes (hopefully of your choice), not all of them.
As for big player decisions, I hope that means your choices can end your game with either a Goodi-tar or an Evil-tar (ala Mass Effect or Fable). Morality of the Avatar would open up a whole new dynamic and add to replayablity...

Typhoon... to Gale... ugh
Such incredible renaming in this hack!!
-
Well, you know what? I CARE!! :P
-
doctor robert, your a genius, if you told me you weren't a real doc, i wouldn't believe them.
At first I doubted your theory, but looking at all the assets reused from FE7, you MUST be right!I'll be taking my Nobel Prize now! ^_^ Or maybe just an honorary Sword of Seals??
Now watch as their child is named Eau.
...ingenious!!
And their other child will be named Vapeur...
Nick: Who?
Janet: Noah! From the Fire Emblem card game. One of Zealot’s troops.
http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/BetterThanABareBulb
EXCEPT NOT REALLY
Note: The link will give you more "entertainment" than the whole of this LP combined. Don't click it.
Nick: Card games? Card games are for children. And people with money so that they can screw the rules.
....
As we've seen, this isn't even the WORST of the supports.
I think it's one of the best... considering
NoahxFirand most of the others...Also YAY for TVTropes! One of the handiest sites for a writer........... (no doubt Blademaster was actually aware of some of them...)
I feel like I recognize that name from somewhere...if that's actually an original name, it's almost CLEVER, so that means Blademaster couldn't have thought of it... hmmm.... where is the name from...
Not enough M's.
Janet: Yes. And they have two of them. Nova and Astra have been captured.
Suddenly, a new plot element is introduced out of nowhere!
Brammimond: Two of my four Grand Children… …Evan and Knick seem to be safe… And of my two children Regal and Lucy… Lucy is dead. And yet it’s Regal’s children who have been captured. Very well.
Ah, another TVTrope!!
-
YAY! My days of joy and laughter are back!!
So she put her hood on or are there twin
Idoun's? I suppose these are the least of the worries over this hack...Chaud is French for cold, Niege is French for snow. We now know what foreign language Blademaster took in High School.I suppose I shouldn't be hard on him because I do this all the time, with lesser known languages or otherwise a twist... but really:
Coldand Snow?EDIT: My mistake, Chaud is actually French for hot... So the dude's name is hot and the chick's name is snow... ha...ha...ha...
Playing normal FE7 again made me understand just how absolutely ridiculous the growths/caps/units are in this hack. I might play it for this reason alone... you know, it'd be the equivalent of breaking something very expensive or punching somebody in the face or otherwise blowing off a ton of steam...
... I've got it!
It's a therapy hack!! Half of it teaches you how much worse FE *could* be and the other half gifts you with dream units of doom!
-
If I had to guess, I'd say Blademaster likes healers. Just a theory, though. XD
Yeah, the reinforcements will be healers... (but with this hack, who knows?)
-
These are some very...odd combat stats...my only hope to kill them is for Sandy to crit with her magic wind sword.
I remember encountering this a couple of times in FE7 and more in FE8. It's like, "It's impossible for this dude to hit, but if he could he'd hurt you." Probably one of the funniest bits of FE.
Of course, this blows all that out of the water (weakly connected pun INTENDED!!!).
I'll bet his blood is cherry flavoured!Me: And then Jello died because even if he seemed a bit scary, he really wasn't!
Daughter: I hate you even more, Daddy!!!
-
Janet: To share a bed? Hmm?
Donovan: A lot of wine. And you getting a better personality.
Zing!
Janet: I’ll get you yet. I always get my way with men! …And women too… Fufufu…
This lady...
If HellenXElliot is a send-up of LilinaXRoy than this must be an even worse send-up of EliwoodXNinian.
Blademaster's making a point! "EliwoodXNinian's stupid! Dancers aren't like that, they're slutty, just like Roy!"
Just a theory...
Jello is ALSO very tough. We can't fight him...can we?
"Daddy, why did you name me after Jello?"
"Well, not the Jello you're thinking of, sweetie. I really named you after an obscure boss from an awful and obscure hack of an obscure game on a
sortakindanotreallyobscure game system!""I hate you, Daddy!!!"
-
Do you guys think I've been making too many sarcastic praises in this hack?
Well, you don't want to over-saturate it and have a burn-out... I'd say 80%'s a good setting.
Should I...stop showing all levels(except the notable ones) and just do a stat dump every now and again?
Naw, you're good. It is entertaining to see how crazy these growths are...
and your comments thereofNick and Kat have one, which is a good thing, because Nick hasn't found anyone else to support with.
Kat: Nick!
Nick: Kat! My rival, we met again! Have at you!
I...I...I...what?
Wow, I wish all supports were that easy! It'd be like this:
Me: Oh, Good Morning!
Bystander: ...?
Larry: Nonsense! You have earned that spot my friend! Just keep working as you always have and you will do just smashing!
So now Larry will forever sound like Tim Curry when I read his dialog (such that it is).
-
Sandy: The Assassin guild has always been the most dangerous group in Merc. When it was originally founded, all five members of that generations Merc five were part of it. Currently, they only have two of the Merc Five among them though. Jello and Death.
WHAT
GREAT
NAMES
It's official, I'm naming my future daughter Jello.
I also sorta assumed this would be Eirika, isn't that funny?
-
back when he made this hack, it was around when derp was actually a fairly new meme
2011 or thereabouts? I meant that why would he put that in there to be taken seriously when he must've known "derp" wouldn't go down well at all, let alone age well. Therefore, it has to be parody.
Gha! What am I doing? Applying logic to this hack? I need so stop being so silly... -
I wonder the same thing sometimes, but other evidence indicates an explicit lack of parodying. Like...the fact that the characters aren't making fourth wall jokes at all...
That's true... well, aside from "Fire Emburem" heheheh...
I think that Blademaster started out serious but then when it came to long tasks, such as concocting supports and "talk" options, he ended up "messing around" ...so it's sorta a half parody. Maybe?
...Yeah, half-Parody!
And "derp" is so not dated or annoying or retarded or anything. -
God... it's like if Hector and Raven had a support... when they were both drunk. HOW IS THIS NOT PARODY!?
-
God, why is this LP so funny? I've been laughing myself to tears for hours... Probably because this hack truly is vomitrocious... which no doubt you've heard far too many times already.
kicker is the A support where Elilot dumps helen because he realizes she's a massive spoiled bitch, and they fight about that too, A SUPPORT GET FROM BREAK UPS
to this day i don't understand the logic behind this, other then a thinly veiled jab at Roy/Lilina thats hilariously out of characterIt's hard to believe this isn't a parody, especially with the R̶o̶y̶Elliot and L̶i̶l̶i̶n̶a̶Hellen support graciously summarized above. I mean, it would make sense if it were a parody, but I think that's not what Blademaster set out to do...
I look forward to more so badly s̶o̶ ̶I̶ ̶d̶o̶n̶'̶t̶ ̶h̶a̶v̶e̶ ̶t̶o̶ ̶s̶t̶o̶m̶a̶c̶h̶ ̶t̶h̶i̶s̶ ̶h̶a̶c̶k̶ ̶m̶y̶s̶e̶l̶f̶.̶.̶.̶ ̶Y̶o̶u̶ ̶a̶r̶e̶ ̶s̶o̶ ̶b̶r̶a̶v̶e̶,̶ ̶s̶i̶r̶.̶

The first time I saw Excellus, I thought, "Gee, I wish we can stick that pompous Ursula-clone's head on a pike!" That is, the Ursula from Little Mermaid bizarrely reminded me of her and thus I though, "girl." But, then Aversa attacked Chrom and let slip the little eunuch's true nature and I was like, "Oooooh... okay." Funny story indeed.
For Libra, I had the advantage of playing FE7 a hundred times prior and so I recognized the trope of "womanly-man" in a second. I originally thought Lucius was a dude in FE7 when I first played (when I had only the in-game portrait to look at) and then I wondered about his gender afterwards before people referred to him as a dude in-game. It wasn't until later when I saw the artwork and fan-art that I found out how allegedly feminine he is... XD
I think Libra's more manly than Lucius. In my mind, when the two are asked if they're a girl, Libra would go, "Pfft. I'm a man, loser," and then fight urges to axe the person whist Lucius would go cry in the corner or something... I think Libra has (still) an advantage of not having 10 years of fanfiction supporting girliness...
Meh, I got off topic! Bad me! Excellus is a dude, a very girly-eunuch-dude. Basically, a new spin on an old FE trope. :3

Right, I forgot about that bit... It's actually an intriguing idea.
I may totally steal it. Err... Kidding of course, kidding, hahahaha!!!
