  1. Thanks but to be fair that is the point of the Avatar. Like in Awakening, Robin was secondary to Chrom until chapter 20, when the focus shifted to him. I wanted that for this game but to go all the way. Atrelius acts as the link between game and player so that way, Link can get focus without being shoe horned in as an Avatar. While I did throw around the idea of Link being the avatar, in the end I feel this idea works better. But once again this is only a pitch. It’s not actually gonna happen.
  2. The long awaited crossover hardly anyone has asked for. Luckily I’m one of the few that wants it. I’ve wanted to see a Zelda game that plays like a fire emblem game ever since I got into this series. Think of it, seeing characters from various Zelda games, similar to dynasty warriors, in a tactical rpg would be killer. So here’s how I think I’d handle it. Of course this is all for fun, there’s no way Nintendo would make a game like this, but it’d be neat non the less. I originally wanted to post this to the Fire emblem subreddit but that subreddit wouldn't let me so I'm hoping it may fair better here. Plot synopsis 20 years after the events of Awakening, a spy from the kingdom of Holodrom steals the fire emblem from the holidom of Ylisse, causing Naga to send her granddaughter, Morgan to go and get it back. Meanwhile in the kingdom of Hyrule, a young squire named Atrelius (our Avatar for the game) is being briefed by their captain, Rusl (a Paladin) on their final steps to becoming a knight. Along the first chapters they’re accompanied by Malon (a Pegasus knight) and Mipha (their cleric) as their camp gets attacked by members of the demon tribe, a clan of worshipers of Demise causing trouble throughout Hyrule, after the first chapter is done, mostly involving player learning how the mechanics for the game work, they come across the holodrom spy carrying the fire emblem. After another chapter fighting him and his group, they take the fire emblem to Hyrule castle where we finally meet Link (starting class Hylian champion) and Zelda (priestess class). Zelda speaks about the legend surrounding the fire emblem and the dangers it could pose. The next several chapter would center around traveling Hyrule to battle the demon tribe in recognizable places, a chapter in Kakariko village, a chapter in Zora’s domain, a chapter in Goron city, a chapter in rito village and a chapter in Gerudo valley to name a few. While they do that, the holodrum king is outraged that his spy was killed and the fire emblem was lost so he launches a full scale invasion of Hyrule, which will take at least several chapters to get to that though. After several chapters, mostly involving recruiting several units to your party, Atrelius meets up with Morgan, who tells him that she needs to fire emblem. Luckily for her it’s locked up in Hyrule castle so they head back for her to retrieve it. However right as Zelda gives the fire emblem back to Morgan, the holodrum army attacks the capital and takes the fire emblem, and four out of the five gem stones, with them, accidentally leaving sable with Link. After pushing the invading force out of the capital, Morgan decides to join your party to make sure they won’t mess up getting the fire emblem back and head off to Korok forest to get the master sword. After a chapter involving your party fighting an army made of shadows, similar to dark link, the great Deku tree allows Link to take the master sword, thus giving our lord for this game his legendary weapon. After leaving Korok forest and recruiting Hestu the Korok, The majority of the game after that is spent trying to push the holodrum army out of Hyrule and once that’s take care of, doing a counter attack and heading until holodrum territory to do battle with them. While doing that, we come across the four horsemen, who are high ranking members of the demon tribe, Volga (Master of Arms), Sooga Kohga (Mortal savant) Astor (Dark Bishop) and their leader Cia (Gremory). After a certain amount of chapters, let’s say after chapter 19, which I imagine would be the first chapter to feature all master class enemy units, Morgan decides that this war against Holodrum has gone on for too long and decides to summon her grandmother to help out Link and co. After another chapter fighting the enemy, Naga is summoned and she blesses the master sword giving it a boost in power while also Atrelius her blessing, allowing them to yield Chrom’s Falchion, or Atrelius’s Falchion now. After that chapter is done, Link and Co. continues to push deep into holodrum territory until they make it to the Holodrum capital, they dispose of the king and take back the fire emblem, only for Cia to reveal that she was the one who instigated this entire war in order to get the fire emblem and give it to her master, Ganondorf. After stealing the fire emblem, the group must now head forth to Gerudo Valley and defeat Ganondorf. The next four chapters of this thirty chapter epic would be the final push, the part in every FE game where the heroes must go through the hardest enemies just to get to the final level. So in this final push, each chapter will have the respective horseman as the boss, Astor, Volga, and Sooga of course. However during this final push, Link will come to the realization that they fire emblem has caused too much damage to the world so he decides that once he defeated Ganondorf and his cronies, he’ll destroy the fire emblem once and for all so that way it’s whole existence will be permanently erased from mankind’s memory, and no one will ever hunger for its power again. Morgan tries to talk Link out only for link to tell her that everything they fought for would be meaningless if that fire emblem is still in tact. Morgan agrees and the next chapter we dispose of Cia thus finally letting us confront Ganondorf. He reveals to the player that a thousand years prior to the game, he had waged a war against Hyrule but lost to a hero of legend, the previous link, and spent the next thousand years slowly building up his power, while feeding off the malice and hatred from the people who follow him. He plans to use the fire emblem to regain his full powers and take over the world. After an epic battle in Ganondorf’s castle, he uses the fire emblem to turn into his demon form, Ganon, and almost kills Atrelius but after a pep talk from their friends they made along the way, Atrelius gets back up and with the help of everyone, destroys Ganondorf and uses the fire emblem to wish for demise’s curse to be destroyed, preventing Ganondorf from ever reincarnating again, causing him to die for good, at least in this timeline. Now with no distraction, Link uses the master sword and plunges it in the center of the fire emblem, causing it to explode, with the five gemstones, thus preventing it from ever being used in the wrong hands ever again but also destroying the master sword in the process, though given how Demise’s curse has ended, the master sword is basically obsolete. Once everything is done with, Zelda is officially crowned the new queen of Hyrule, Link is made the new general of Hyrule’s army, and Morgan, now having saved the day, thanks Link and the other for their help before she heads off to Valm to visit her parents again. Naga allows Atrelius to keep the Falchion as a momemto, but they figure it’s best to leave it in korok forest in place of the master sword, and Atrelius heads out to begin their journey in life, thus ending the game. Units and classes For this game, the majority of the units will be from various Zelda games. I haven’t figured out who’s gonna be in or out so this is just a rough draft. The class system will go like this. Starting class > Advanced class > and Master class. With the starting class maxing out at level ten, the advanced class maxing out at level fifteen, and the master class maxing out at level 20. This allows the player to still get exp without the need for grinding. Because of this, several starting classes like the mercenary and the Cavalier class will be treated as advanced classes, because their master classes the Hero and Paladin class must stay as master classes. Link- Hylian Champion(horseback with sword), Hylian Hero(horseback with sword and lances), Hylian Legend (horseback with sword, lances, and bows) Atrelius- Squire (sword), Hylian Knight (Sword and Axes) and Legendary Knight (Sword, Axes, and Tomes) Zelda- Priestess (bow, lance and staff) Morgan- tactician (sword, tomes, dragon stone) grandmaster (sword, tomes, dragon stone) divine tactician (sword, tomes, dragon stone) Rusl- Paladin (lance and sword) or great knight (Lance, sword, and axe) Malon- Pegasus knight (lance) and Falcon knight (lance and sword) dark flier (lance, tome, and sword) or Loftwing rider (Lance, sword, and Axe) Mipha- cleric (staff) war cleric (staff and lance), Valkyrie (horseback staff, tomes, lance) or priestess (staff, lance, and bow) Impa- Ninja (shurikan), master ninja (shurikan and sword) assassin (shurikan, sword, and bow) Purah- Engineer (riding a wooden puppet with shurikan), Mechinist (shurikan and bow), Ballistician (ballista, shurikan and Bow) Robbie- engineer (riding a wooden puppet with shurikan), Mechinist (shurikan and bow), Ballistician (ballista, shurikan and bow) Rauru- warlock (tome and staff) Urbosa- Hero (sword and axes) or Bow Knight (Sword, Axe, and Bow) Revali- Rito warrior (flier with bow, sword and lance) Teba- rito (flier with bow), rito fighter (bow and sword), and rito warrior (bow, sword, and lance) Daruk- War Master (axe and gauntlets) Groose- brawler (gauntlets), grappler (gauntlets), and War master (axes and gauntlets) Shad- Mage (tomes), Sage (tomes and staff), warlock (tomes and staff) or holy knight (horseback with lance, tomes, and staff) Ashei- outlaw (sword), trickster (bow and sword), adventurer (sword, bow, and staff) or bow knight (horseback with sword, axe, and bows) Sidon- lancer (lance), Lancemaster (lance), and master of arms (lance, sword, and axes) Riju- Dark Mage (tomes) Sorcerer (tomes) Gremory (tomes and staff) or Dark Knight (tomes and sword) Buliara- Armored Knight (Lance), Fortress Knight (Lance and Axe), Darknut (Lance, Sword, and Axe) or Great Knight (Horseback with Lance, sword, and axes) Auru- mercenary (sword and axes), Hero (Sword and Axes) or Bow knight (sword, axe, and bow) Nabooru- Myrmidon (sword), Swordmaster (sword), mortal savant (sword and tomes) or Master of Arms (Sword, Lances, and Axes) Fi- dancer (sword), songstress (sword and lance), and Diva (sword, lance, and tome) Colin- horse rider(Lance), Cavalier (sword and lances), Paladin (sword and lances), or great Knight (sword, lances, and axes) Talo- horse rider (Lance), Cavalier (sword and lances), Paladin (sword and lances), or Great Knight (Sword, lances, and axes) Beth- Archer (bow), Sniper (bow), Bow knight (bow, sword, axes) or Adventurer (bow, sword, and staff) Aryll- Wyvern rider (axe), wyvern lord (axe and lance ), Malig knight (axe, lance, and tome) Hestu- Korok child (gauntlets) Ilia- Villager (lance) Anna- outlaw (sword), Trickster (sword and staff), Adventurer (Sword, Bow, and Staff) Marc- Fighter (Axe), Mercenary (Axe and Sword), Hero (Sword and Axe) I could go on with units but you get the gist on who they are. With this game, I’d like to have a clear focus on our main character for the game, Link, and his journey from a simple knight, to the hero destined to save the day. I wanted to have Link be the primary player as Atrelius acts as second fiddle, similar to Robin in Awakening. Plus I figured it’d be a neat passing of the torch, with Link passing in his own Link to the player to Atrelius. Link in this game grew up from a well off family of knights, feeling bad that his father died from an illness, Link has insecurities following in his father’s footsteps, who was a skilled knight, so I felt like his arc would be having to come grips with who he is and letting go of his father’s death. Think of Dimitri without him going crazy, thankfully Link would stay sane in this game. Link’s design in this game would be based off his twilight princess design. Then there’s Atrelius, our Avatar of the game. A simple Squire, Atrelius grew up with Link and the two were close friends. The game won’t be focused on Atrelius too much, as he plays second to Link. But they’re still a great unit non the less. As for Morgan, while she’s not the main character, she still plays an important role non the less. She’s a lot different from her Awakening counterpart as she didn’t have to come from a doomed future. She got to grow up with loving parents and great friends. I decided to make her Naga’s granddaughter to help tie this game in with others in the Archenia series. Plus I’m a sucker for Robin x Tiki, so if I had the chance to make that ship canon, I’d take it. Similar to Link, Morgan has her own insecurities in following in Robin’s footsteps, and her trying to prove herself as not just Robin’s little girl, as revealed later in the game that Naga wanted to send Robin to get the fire emblem back, not Morgan. I feel Morgan’s arc will tie very well with Link’s arc. Morgan is also accompanied by twin brother, Marc, and her best friend Anna. Because I wanted her to have a friend for this adventure. Not too much going for Zelda, while she plays an important role, it’s not as important as Link or Morgan’s. However she comes with her own uniqueness. Zelda is a pre-promote, so she would be a pretty busted unit all thing considering. How ever since she’s a pre-promote, she’ll join your party after, I wanna say chapter 11 at least, giving the player an excuse to use Mipha as your cleric to level her up. Zelda in this game would be based off her twilight Princess design. Other characters mostly get side tracked by will still be great units via supports. Also characters like Riju, Aryll, Colin, Talo, and Beth will be aged up to accommodate for this game’s story. No child soldiers allowed in my game. Link will also be aged up to twenty years old, he’s a lot more mature in this game, that’s for sure. Also I saw fan art of Fi as a human so I had to use her as my dancer for this game. Mechanics Mechanics for this game will be similar to how they were in in Awakening, just without broken level up system. Pair up is back, alongside skirmish battles and reclassing wont reclassing won't be as customizable as Three Houses and Engage. It'll be more like Awakening and Fates. But I wouldn’t want to use divine pulse. You mess up in a chapter, you don’t get to fix it. If you don’t want to lose a unit forever, play casual. Weapon triangle is also back, and the RNG system is gonna be just as unfair as it was in Fates, this game is gonna be hard. Base camp Welcome to base camp, the hub of the game where Atrelius will get to interact with allies, buy weapons, forge new ones, and prepare for your next battle. Base camp changes appearance wherever you are, so if you finished a battle in the forest, base camp’s surroundings is going to be the forest. If you finished a battle in the snowy mountains, then base camp will be surrounded by snow. Paired ending Paired endings are back, some are platonic, some are romantic, it’s up to you on whether or not their A support is romantic enough to wanna pair them up for the rest of the game. No child units, I think Fates killed it. Conclusion There’s no way Nintendo will make this game, but like I said, it’s fun to play around with ideas. Now I want to hear from you. If you’re a Zelda fan, and you want to see a game like the one I explained, comment an share your ideas and units. Let’s get a discussion going. If you hate this idea, that’s fair. Opinions matter. Thank you for reading and keep in mind and have a nice day.
  3. Thanks. And Pantte is an excellent unit. Carried my team for Engage.
  4. I was never really a fan of the armored unit designs in Awakening, they looked so weird and bulky, but i loved Kjelle, she's my favorite armored unit in the series. It also helped i S-ranked sully in a playthrough, so I see Kjelle as my daughter.
  5. Awesome. What’s your favorite banner. I’m always a fan of the Halloween banner, see what kind of cool costumes our favorite dragon units will get. Because that’s what the Halloween banner has become, an excuse to give manaketes an alt.
  6. Hi, I’m new to this site. I’m wondering how it’s like here. The only forums I’m familiar with is Reddit but I decided to branch out here. So let’s discuss what’s it like here. What’s your favorite fire emblem game, ship, and character? I’m hoping to make a great first impression. I’ll start. my name is Issac the vast, I go to college, I play video games, and my favorite FE game is Three houses. Favorite FE ship, Robin x Say’ri. Love underrated ships. Favorite FE character. Robin, the mvp of Awakening, and the only FE avatar not to be the sole focus of the game.
