  1. Yea, those are my thoughts exactly. I'm fairly sure I could have every unit level 20, promoted, and with a swanky forged weapon before I do another story battle if I were so inclined. It was fun to see how it worked, but the game's normal mode is pretty tame, and making it easier is not needed. I can see the 'growth' one being useful for the est/nino/etc type character who shows up super late and weak, but i'd rather not play 'god mode' essentially. I have some free time today, so I'm going to see if I can get the exalt to the east palace. Something about that glowing red dot and the 'begin battle' option tells me it's not as secret as the characters think. The real question is whether or not dear sister Emm is going to be of the 'character killed and we must avenge' trope (like nearly every father character) or more of an Elincia who we protect for ever. Can go either way right now in my mind; on one hand, we had Marth rush in to protect her, so she seems important for the future in a 'Terminator' kind of way. On the other hand, Chrom is likely next in line, so her days could be numbered. Tune in next episode, for 'the Never ending escort mission" or "Risen barbecue, Emm, great!"
  2. Not much to report on today. I debated training up my weaker units and woke up to find some very weak risen appeared on the map. I chalked it up to fate and let the weaker units go to town. Seeing how weak the random risen battle foes were, I experimented with a reeking box I gained from an event tile earlier, trying to see if I could find another easier battle for the weaker units. I couldn't though. I did remember I had skipped paralogue 2, so I checked that out and found weaker enemies there. Letting the weaker units have some fun, they made it to Anna without any trouble and rescued the village. And I have to say, I LOVE Anna so far, and want her on my team. I would so let her be a merlinus rip off and guard her if she'd join. At this point, I talked to my friend Sarah, the only fire emblem fanatic I know in person. I told her of my trying to beef up my weaker units, and she told me of some DLC content for super easy grinding. I was hesitant, but with some help I gave it a shot and bought a pack with 'the golden gaffe' and 'exponential growth' in it. I tried them out wanting to see how DLC worked, and found them very over powered grinding spots as advertised. With the 'gold' one, even with me only being able to take out the weakest opponents I made several thousand gold in one battle. With 'growth' I kept my main units out of it, and let the weaker units get some exp, try to catch them up. Lon'qu and virion seem to be in a contest to see who can have the lowest STR, so I can't see them getting much use at the moment. Miriel looks ok, and Stahl and Vaike made some impressive gains. Donnel did too, but well, no surprise there. Out of the under leveled group, Donnel and Vaike have the best odds of seeing some use. Stahl just irks me for some reason (shrug). The battles were quite quick, but that's all I was able to do today in between nine hours of baby sitting and trying to get my dwarf cleric to level 8 in pathfinder lol. Oh well, tomorrow's another day, though I am glad to learn how DLC works. It seems quite easy to abuse, so I'm going to hold off on doing anymore to avoid breaking the game balance and such. At least with this much gold I can buy all my units their own weapons and stop sharing... that's progress, right?
  3. Ok, next update. I just finished the stage 'foreseer' where assassins tried to kill our dear exalt. I'm not quite sure why 'marth' saved Chrom, seeing as how you kill a dozen assassins after the cinematic, but that first guy was apparently THE assassin of all assassins....or something? Can't say I'm too surprised by 'marth' being a girl, as I thought she was too girly. At first I thought they might going for a more feminine look, maybe something like the old fire emblem anime marth, but it didn't fit with the remakes or his smash bros. appearances. Considering I know we have time traveling kids and 'marth' knows of the future, add in marth's dramatic 'from my father!' line as she mirrors Chrom's exact stance in the arena.... well, my 'rpg sense' would bet that this is his daughter. Doesn't explain the need of the mask though, so I could be wrong. Either way, the stage was easy enough (at least on normal mode. Figured i'd get my 'blind' run in with the expected tutorial, get it done and not look back) even with the spooky wizard guy, who kind of reminds me of Nergal. I then did my first 'random' battle with some Risen, who were higher level than me (level 9-11, with my own team 7-8 with some stragglers). Their willingness to charge into my bottle neck made for an easier battle than expected, nabbing 2 small gold bullion and a spirit dust, so I can't complain. From there, I found a traveling merchant, sold my bullion, and bought a master seal, which I did not expect to see for sale. At this junction, my 3ds was nearly dead, so I saved and looked at some mechanical changes online via my phone. Thought it interesting to see the support conversation limit is gone, and I had been super conservative thinking it was still in place...opps? Also, learning of second seals was nifty, if not confusing. Maybe I'm misreading it, but it sounds like you can change from one class to another over and over again, as long as you have second seals, and it seems like they are very common with street pass and DLC. If I understand it right, it seems growth rate is less important as you can keep leveling yourself over and over again. I guess it's to learn skills, as Lissa learned a new skill at level 10... new skills at level 10 and 20, maybe? It seems like every character can have perfect stats in everything, be everything, as long as you put the the time in. My level 2 bench warmers (Stahl, Virion) could level up infinitely and could still become maxed if I grind random monsters. Better than arena abuse, I suppose, but still odd. Thinking of characters, my main right now are Chrom, Cara/tactician, Lissa, Sumia, Sully, Kellam, and Ricken (who just showed up and wrecking the field like a pro). They're all level 9, except for Lissa who is 12 (from healing every paper cut under the sun). I've been feeding Lon'qu, Donnel, and Maribelle some exp, and will likely need to buff up Gaius, my new thief. Not sure what to make of Panne yet. Frederick, Vaike, Stahl, Miriel, and Virion have been warming the bench. Not sure if it's worth it to try to bring up everyone to be super maxed, though if I wait too long I doubt a level 2 archer is going to be able to defeat enemies. Hm. I can think of it some more tomorrow, as now it's time for bed. Thanks for reading :)
  4. Sure, I don't mind talking if you don't mind listening ;) I beat my first paralogue without turning Frederick into a killing machine. I paired Kellam up with Frederick, giving him enough defense the enemies weren't a threat. He charged ahead, killed the one thief, and went back to guard duty without problem. Since he aggro'd enemies on the way, they moved up and into range of my other members who cleaned up nicely. Donnel, for his part, finished several units earning his level and nearly a second one from the boss. I was kind of hoping he'd have a boss conversation with him (the opening does state he killed his dad after all) but nothing. Were those removed? After that, I encountered my first spot pass team, who were far stronger than me (I have a few level 6 units at best, and they were level 10 at the lowest). I'm actually looking at buying an item from this team, as they have different goodies. The brave sword is tempting, but I have no one who could even wield it right now, and the soothing sword could be a fun novelty item. Still, war funds are not the highest at the moment, so I'm torn.
  5. Thanks all! So far, I just unlocked 'paralogue 1' (gaiden chapters from the look of it?). I have a female tactician named Cara (not my name, but one I use a lot) who I keep teaming up with Chrom. The two are adorable together so far (hmm, bear!) so I'm liking that, though from Sumia's opening cutscene I have to assume she is the 'canon' choice, or something like it. I'm using Chrom, Cara/tactician, Lissa (healer, duh), Sully (love her attitude), and Sumia (flyers, yea!) at the moment, maybe Kellam too with his nice starting level/def. Vaike's been helping by being a good 'pair up' option to give bonus strength. Frederick goes from 'weaponless wall' to pairing up with Lissa for extra defense/movement. My first 'snag' has been on said paralogue 1. Donnel is interesting, and makes me think of a cross between Ross and Nephenee (which isn't a bad thing in my mind). Still, the units are a 'tad' stronger here, and trying to stop that thief from getting my treasure has left me soft resetting a few times. I think I might need to give Frederick a weapon for this lol. I love this series, I really do.
  6. Nearly three years late to the party, but I finally am able to start this game. I'm actually nervous/excited/giddy to play this. I've tried to avoid spoilers, but for better or for worse it's been impossible to avoid everything. Like I know nothing of the plot, but I've heard (possible but unlikely spoiler?) there is apparently wacky time travel wackiness with future offspring, or something to that effect. I've played Genealogy enough to know pairings can be huge there, and can't wait to see how this game uses that system. I mean, time travel and fire emblem! I almost want to name my avatar "Doc" you know? I can do that as I get to name my avatar!! Anywho, I'm going to give this a whirl. I only have a million or two questions in my head, from DLC to what decisions ruin everything forever, because I don't know and it's so exciting I feel like I could BURST. I'll likely be back here asking some of those questions later, but for now, I just wanted to share the happiness of a fire emblem fan girl finally getting this game.
  7. Tedious? How so? I won't claim to be the most knowledgeable when it comes to this stuff, but I am attempting to learn. I haven't see much at gamefaqs, as there is only one code faq, but many of the codes in said faq don't work properly so it doesn't seem a reliable source for information. Plus the person who wrote has flat out said he/she has moved on and doesn't respond to inquiries, so that seems a bust. I am going to keep fooling around with the codes, see what i can get to work, but I will gladly take assistance. If anyone knows of anything that works, or can point me in the right direction I'd love to hear from you ;) Thanks for your time!
  8. Hi all! I'm looking at codes at the moment, and had 2 questions. 1. I saw on rumor tube (I mean, youtube!) that someone had found a code to make Leila playable, and found others who say it can be done... but can't find any actual code for this. Can anyone here confirm/deny if such a thing exists? If I could code I'm make a hack/patch whatever they are called to make this happen, but alas, I am not that talented. 2. My other code question is if anyone knows of a code for getting side quest stages. I am doing a HHM run, on chapter 19, and just realized I don't remember getting Nils to level 7 for 19xx. I hate missing stages, but I am not so eager for it to replay the entire game right now. Hopefully I won't need it, but I doubt it. Any ideas how to get around this if Nils wasn't high enough level? Thank you for your time!
  9. I do believe I **** at this. I've been trying for hours to figure out how to download files and make SOMETHING work, and I just can't seem to do it. I feel like a total idiot for not being able to make sense of any of this. Over 90 hours on a transfer run that ended with nearly everyone 20/19 - a total bust. More hours trying to get a gamecube file to work, and more on a wii file. Nothing I've tried works. Nothing. I am so totally disgusted with myself right now.The only other thing I can even think of trying is attempting to make/hack a dolpin gamecube save, and considering my success rate at this point I don't see how making things more complicated can help. I hate feeling so bloody useless with technology that I can't do something seemingly so simple.
  10. Hi! So as the topic says, I finally (finally!) have the chance to play this game for the first time. And oddly enough, I'm intimidated. I've played path of radiance many times, but I've never been able to do a good 'transfer run' as I never seem to hit 20/20. I always end up at like, 20/18 or something, and that doesn't cut it here. Then there's the paired endings. I'm finding out that characters in this game only get paired endings if I paired them in path of radiance, and of course, I didn't. And as if to make me crazy, I'm learning the story changes if you play this one multiple times, and I don't know if I have time to do all that (I'm only borrowing the game). I'm freaking out. I'm trying to learn how to download a file that will give me bones', let me get the paired endings, and see the 'improved(?)" second play through story. Besides not being able to find a file that does all that, I don't even have the faintest idea how to do it after reading up on it for hours. Did I mention I'm freaking out? I feel like I NEED to do this right, and I'm so freaking paranoid I'm going to mess things up for the characters I've loved for years that I'm terrified to turn the bloody game on. I don't know how to make this right. I don't know what to do, and hoping that by venting a bit I can figure this out, and/or hope that someone can talk some sense and/or help me out here. A tall order I know, but I'm grasping at straws at this point. So....help?
  11. Hey all! Odd question, but I read that there was a way to download save files with maxed stats for the purpose of data transfers. But I can't wrap my head around how that would work. How would you get data on your computer onto a wii memory card? I am...confused. Considering how my transfer run is going (read: badly) knowing if there is a back up plan would be helpful. Thanks for your time!
  12. Honestly? Of the options given, I think Lyn is best paired with Hector. Still, I do think Lyn and Florina make a great pairing as well. Rath... well, this is just me personally, but I feel he has no personality to him. I always get this robotic feel to him, like he doesn't even know how to have feelings anymore. Hector and Lyn at least feel like a couple to me, and I could see it being realistic from the many conversations they share. I personally wait for the day when we get more LGBT pairings/themes, as Lyn/Florina just begs to be an official option. Just my thoughts, of course.
  13. Let's see, my first file was FE7, Blazing sword. I had played a lot of tactical games before this, and even in games without permadeath I never allowed a unit to die as I'm likely crazy. So for that reason at least, I wasn't caught off guard. I remember having a few tough chapters here and there (not sure which anymore) and having a couple of restarts. I also know that this game started my favoritism to units who join early, as I loved the Lyndis Legion characters. Dorcas was one of my personal favorites as his strength was ridiculous, and I know now he must have been RNG blessed. I loved the game to bits, played it over and over, and have gone all to play nearly all of the fire emblems now. I'm hooked :)
  14. Europe gets a fire emblem 3ds xl!? Those lucky...! Gah, why can't that be in north america? Stupid region locking. Sigh. I will likely get the XL as I do have big hands and trouble with eyesight. I know it's the better decision logically, but man, the fire emblem ds just looks so freaking awesome.
  15. Hey all! I am looking for some fire emblem fans to give some feedback. I am breaking down and going to be picking up a 3ds likely just to play awakening. My first thought was to get the 3ds XL, with the larger screen to see things better. Then I found out about the actual Fire Emblem 3ds (link below if you have not seen it) and I have been drooling ever since. Logically, I know the bigger screen will help me play and the bigger price tag on the fire emblem 3ds should make this choice easy... but that 3ds keeps tempting me all the same. I'm torn with indecision, and was hoping to get some feedback from some fire emblem fans who could sympathize :) Thoughts? http://www.amazon.com/Nintendo-3DS-Blue-Limited-Awakening-Pre-Installed/dp/B00BB62HA8/ref=sr_1_2?s=videogames&ie=UTF8&qid=1370083725&sr=1-2&keywords=fire+emblem+3ds
  16. Hi all! So as the topic says, I am trying to use chapter 26 to get my levels up with some boss abuse. It's the last boss abuse chapter (if i recall right) and being able to take so many units, it has a lot of potential. With this being a transfer run, that's good. I've been focusing on 12 characters this play through. Ike, Soren, Mist, Boyd, Mia, Rhys, Marcia, Rolf, Jill, Nephenee, Astrid, and Sothe. With bonus exp abuse, and several restarts of levels I've managed to get some impressive stats on all of them. The trick now is making sure they get enough exp. this chapter to make sure they hit 20/20 by game's end. My entire evil plan depends on this. And yet, I can't get things to work right. While they are misc. mistakes (a weaker unit I brought for kicks getting killed in one hit...opps?) the biggest problem by far is because the boss is crit, or a skill like Adept activates and the boss dies way too early. Time and time again this keeps happening. I've focused on making my team strong for a transfer run, and at the critical junction I find I'm too strong. I just can't seem to keep the boss alive, and without boss abuse, there is no way I can get all my units to level 20/20 in time. I'm not sure what to do at this point. It's quite depressing to think that all the time I put into this so far, resetting over and over again for those perfect stats.... was for nothing. Yet I don't know what else to try. My last gambit is this sad rant, to see if anyone else can come up with an idea, as I'm all out. Thanks in advance!
  17. Hi all! I wanted to pick your brains on this one. I'm on chapter 16 as the title says, and I'm going for max Bonus exp so I need to clear it in 8 turns if I'm reading this right. With 6 treasure chests and three locked doors, plus the long corridor to even get to the chests, it seems near impossible at first glance. Yet, for some reason I remember having done this before, I just can't remember HOW. I'm going to keep experimenting, but if anyone has any suggestions, I'd love to hear from you ;)
  18. Hey all! So as you might guess from the title, I'm on chapter 15. The last time I played through this game, the choice to kill or not to kill the laguz here was a fairly big debate. Is there a general agreed upon choice here now? Do you choose to kill or to spare the laguz? Me, I choose to spare them. It's more challenging, which I like, and logical and the bonus exp is easier to abuse for a transfer run. Still, knowing what I know of the story to come, that they are escaped slaves... I feel bad going about killing them. That said, I am going about not killing them, getting all items, and finishing in 7 turns for max bonus exp. Difficult, but not impossible. The 'not killing' part is not too bad as I have some good tanks without weapons to absorb hits, and healing items for when that luck runs out. Getting the items isn't too bad for me either, though getting the statue frag and white gem is very much hit or miss with my current strategy. The thing that keeps tripping me up? GETTING to the boss. Since I'm not killing the enemy laguz, they surround my units before I get into range, and stop the progress of my assault team. As I write this, I have a game on, at turn 7, all treasure obtained, no units killed, etc, and with my 3 attack units surrounded by nine different enemies, with my units literally one square away from killing the boss. And I can't move a one. I know I will get this down eventually. I just love this kind of stuff. Does anyone else do this? I don't recall there being a 'guide' or anything the last time I did this, and I never think to write down my steps - opps? - so I was just wondering if anyone else had done this. And well, I never turn down a chance to chat ;)
  19. Hi all! As the topic says, I am trying to plan out my supports so I can get as many "A" supports as possible. I'm using the list from the site found here: http://serenesforest.net/fe9/supports.htm It seems easy enough, but being my paranoid self I was hoping if someone could confirm I'm doing this right. So for starters, I want an "A" with Ike and Soren. Soren joins chapter 4, so if you need 19 battles, then if I'm doing this right... if I deploy Ike and Soren every fight, they can have the A support conversation after battle 23, or on the base menu of chapter 24. Yes? Or how about Mist and Boyd? Mist joins chapter nine, but I don't think that chapter counts (I thought they had to be sent out from the prep screen to count. Can anyone confirm?) So if her first fight is chapter 10, and they need 17, the earliest they could earn the A support is after chapter 27, or on the prep screen for chapter 28. Am I doing this right? For my last example, I'm confused by the numbers for characters like Elincia. If she were to get an A with Geoffrey, am I reading it right they only need to be in two battles together for an A support? She could get the B, and immediately after get the A? My apologies if this is noobish, but I don't generally plan supports for this game, and want to make sure I understand the rules, you know? Thanks for your time!
  20. Hi there! As the topic says, I'm being nosy and wondering what kind of weapons people like to forge. Do you forge stronger attack power versions of slim/iron weapons for weaker characters? Save the gold for forging silvger weapons later on? Love adding critical hit rates to weapons? I could be wrong, but I don't think there is a 'wrong' way to do this. I am debating what I should do this game, if I should try something different, etc, and it made me wonder how others tackled forging. Bonus Points: What are some of your favorite names for weapons? For myself, I tend to forge a 'training' weapon or two early on (Mia usually gets a sword, for example). But I usually try to plan on forging at least one 'ultimate' weapon for my main team, with max attack and hit rate. (Sometimes two, like a Hand axe and a Silver axe for Boyd). I usually skip on improving the critical rate as it costs too much for too little improvement, in my opinion. For my own names, I am all over the place. Some are silly (A gold colored axe named Golden Axe, or a bow named Rain Bow). Some are named after famous weapons (Longinus, Masamune, Nihongo, Tonbogiri) while other are simple (a sword for Mia named...Mia's sword). What kind of names do you come up with? Hopefully all my topics aren't making people sick of me lol. I like the chance to talk to other fans, hear other opinions, and well, hear from people. Fun, right? :)
  21. Hey all! So as you may guess from the colorful title, I am having some 'issues' with getting my people some levels. On the one hand is me wanting to max as many stats as possible for a transfer run. On the other hand, are people like Soren who refuse to gain a bloody point of strength or defense. When I get a bad level, like the dreaded level where nothing increases, I reset. I'd rather redo the level than accept something so terrible. Or say with bonus exp, I feel where it's so 'easy' to manipulate, that I should make sure those levels count with the best possible levels. This usually takes, I don't know, 20 minutes tops. Still, I am now going on my second hour of not seeing Soren gain any strength, and it's driving me crazy. So to alleviate my craziness, I figured I'd see how crazy my fellow fire emblem player's are in regards to stats. What do you consider a 'good' level? What is a reset worthy offense? Me, I sum stat gains up like this: None or one? This run is done. Only 2? This chapter's through. Only 3? Don't bother me. 4 or more? Score! Over five? The run survives. You? :)
  22. Hey all! So I'm finally getting over my panic attack from yesterday, and getting into this game. Yea! I'm doing hard mode for the challenge, and randoms growths for the classic feel. I've played the game several times before, but this is my first 'transfer' run for RD. 1. I did have a nagging thought though... which mode gives the most exp? It's for a transfer run, so easy is out. Hard gives more enemies and reinforcements. Normal gives 'clear stage' bonus exp though, so wouldn't normal be easier to manipulate stats for a transfer run? It's not crucial to know, but as I said, nagging thought. 2. On a similar idea, I've read on here to boss abuse to get the most characters up to 20/20. It makes sense i suppose, but it seems a lot of time input while being at lady luck's mercy. I tend to use/abuse bonus exp to get the best stat ups, and boss abuse just seems like it's ignoring this highly exploitable mechanic. I guess I'm just wondering if Boss abuse really works as well as I've read, and if it's worth the effort. 3. Lastly, on picking units. I have my favorites (from Lethe to Jill, etc) and that's usually how I play. If people I like have supports, great, if not, I never worried about them. Still, I just did Sword of seals using supports to GREAT success there, and am wondering just what I've been missing out on. I'm putting together chains now, and was wondering if there were any recommended chains out there. I would think it would be easy to find this, but I am apparently doing something wrong as I'm not finding anything. Anywho, I started building chains...and well, I'm good at starting them, but not so much 'ending' them. I keep adding more and more people and well, get the mess I have below. Soren I A I Ike I B I Lethe I B I Jill I B I Mist I A I Boyd I B I Titania I B I Rhys I A I Mia Rolf I B I Marcia I A I Gatrie I B I Astrid I A I Sothe Nephene I A I Calil Clearly, I need to trim this down, but I'm not good at this lol. Any tips to make this more effective? Thanks for your time!
  23. Hi all! I know about the bonus's for hitting level 20 and such, and I 'think' there is a list of the best people to 20/20 for said bonus' (if anyone has it, it would save me the trouble of tracking it down). I was wondering about supports and coins. 1. Coins as I can tell give 'random' bonus' but I can't seem to find what that means. Are we talking like, a 1% increase to hit hit, or a plus 50% critical rate? Can anyone narrow down what that means? 2. On supports, as I understand it any 'A' support in PoR gives a minor bond boost in RD. I've not played this yet (working on making a PoR file for transfer now) but I've heard RD has you controlling different sides at different points? Assuming that's the case, are there any supports in PoR that would help in RD? 3. Lastly on supports, the site says 'some have an effect on the story." I've read there's an extended scene for the Ike/Soren support (Which is fine as it's one I use a lot). What other changes to the story do supports have? Is there a list somewhere, or examples? I hope I'm not being a pain. Any information would be greatly appreciated!
  24. Hey all! So I'm doing my Fire emblem runs still, and loading up good PoR. Or I would, if I was no second guessing myself like crazy. I have started/restarted the game over 20 times now. I keep feeling like I'm forgetting something VITAL, so vital it needs a restart...even if I can't name what 'it' is. I keep second guessing which modes to play in, whether Normal or Hard, or fixed or random growths. I've never played RD, and am going to try to transfer this file if all works, but I feel so....well, paranoid that I'm doing every thing WRONG. Don't get me wrong, I'm not new to Fire emblem or even PoR. I usually do the hardest modes possible without hesitation, never lose a unit (and/or restart when I do). Yet I can't seem to make a decision this time. I mean, I am sitting here worrying about the best weapons to forge, when the cost...and I haven't made it past the bloody prologue yet. And supports! I read some supports affect RD, and I am worried I'm going to do THAT wrong too. I don't know what's wrong with me, why I am...over thinking this so much. I believe I need a well deserved slap and told to be calm, but my cat isn't too good at that. If anyone could do me a big favor and reassure my panicked nerves I am not screwing up every time I touch the controller, I would much appreciate it. Thanks for your time! V
  25. Hey all! just thought I'd start a discussion on this quirky character. He is clearly labeled as an enemy, but his AI is so screwy it's hard to consider him a threat. And he clearly has ties to Allied army with Miredy there. Yet you can't recruit, and unlike other sympathetic enemy characters in the series, you're not even required to kill him. He's just....there. Kill him, spare him, it makes no difference as he never shows up again. I can't figure him out, and wanted to hear other people's thoughts. I mean first off, who is he loyal to? If he was loyal to Guinevere, he'd join you. If he was loyal to Zephiel, then you'd think (if he survived the battle 21, where appears with Murdoch) then he'd appear later in battle 22 to defend the king, or at least in 23 with Brunya "and the remainder of the army." I mean, if the army is there, and he isn't... does he die off screen or something? If you let him live, he what, falls of his mount in mid air by accident? He seems to be loyal to Murdock (which doesn't make sense in of itself as he's not a noble or anything) so what does he do after Murdock's death? I keep thinking his duty would be complete at that point, and he would be free to be with Miredy. If not as an allied army soldier, than at least a civilian off screen. It seems a glaring dangling thread, an resolved issue we don't have answers to at this point. The only thing that makes sense is that he is scripted to be killed in battle in 21... even if you spare his life. So if you don't kill him, he needs to die some other way. It makes me wonder... was he the type of warrior who would commit suicide for failing to protect his 'lord' (in this case, Murdoch). I don't have the answers, just ideas. What do you think? Why does he never show up again?
