  1. ##Vote: Grim Matchstick My thumbs hurt so badly after I beat you. I raise you my middle leaf finger.
  2. That being said, I don't know how likely that is to happen and it's apparent to be that Crowler is getting lynched over Endeavor, so do whatever, I don't have a super strong opinion since there's only 50 minutes left.
  3. ^^^^ This. This thread, day 2: "Well, I did show up in the last hour but it was already hammered!"
  4. But he quoted you in the same post he pinged me and you forgot!? Use of  emoji. Just kidding, I probably would have forgotten about him if I wasn't directly responding to him.
  5. @The Batter There's roughly 1 hour left. I didn't like Crowler's sub-out post not because of meta, but because asking for a sub right before getting lynched is ????? It's not the claim of vanilla townie, but it's his tone. Paraphrasing here because can't be assed to pull exact quote, but it was something along the lines of "oh, I'm okay with being lynched b/c I'm useless" which I read in a negative tone. I can't tell what you're asking me is WIFOM, but I assume it's the VT claim. I think you've also misinterpreted me, I'm not bothered by the fact he claimed vanilla (not bothered by the specific claim), but I'm bothered by his tone in which he did so. What I don't like about Kratos is that he's voteparked on Titania this whole time (he said he'd at least be back to change his vote, but I don't know about that), and it kind of seems like a lazy excuse to not be on a wagon.
  6. Why do people think ISOs are the way to go? You lose context when you read this way, especially if it's a first time reading. Also, use my low-tech strategy of clicking on anon profiles to read individual posts, since we're anon, we're not posting on outside forums.
  7. I have no idea who Crowler is, so afraid I can't follow this. Just wondering, but without Batter, who's scummier? When I townread someone, I don't necessarily agree with all their reads, so I'm just wondering what you actually feel on Endeavor now. @Mercenary Kratos Hm. Then maybe it's the perception = reality idea? I don't know, I'm not entirely convinced based on yesterday's post that you didn't sound complacent. I know you said you were busy but the "I'm with with it" mentality felt lazy and uncaring and kind of erased any perception of mine that I had beforehand on your supposed scumhunting. I guess we'll talk about this more later. Lol guys, I wouldn't go that far to say that Kratos isn't here. He's posted and it's like near the bottom of page 14 so you may have missed it. I would have missed it if he didn't ping me. Also I still have to read your post Nagito. It's too long I mean it's so detailed that I have yet to go into it!
  8. Hi I'm here now, sorry that took longer than I expected.
  9. I have to run errands now but I'll be back roughly 3 hours before the deadline (or earlier, depending on how quick I am). Some other things before I forget: Admittedly I've been flip-flopping on my Mello read, but I have to admit that I agree with Titania's assertion that his reaction was genuine. I disagree that the action of trying to push a lynch on someone via drafting mechanics is alignment indicative, but I think the town-tell is actually from the identity slip. He speed-posted so fast (okay, it was only a few minutes between the claim, but still dang close) on his main account, and this is where Titania's point of scum would be more careful/discuss with members is valid. Do you think that one of the sub outs is scum because they're getting subbed out, or because you thought one of them was scum before this? It's kind of unclear from your wording, and I hope for your sake (or at least my perception on yourself), that it's the latter. I don't really follow if it's the former point.I agree with the latter with regards to who should be placed under scrutiny tomorrow. Toshio not as much, but especially Kratos. The feeling when you actually brought up the Kratos point first but your brilliant ideas never get attributed to you, feels bad man... I actually marked in my (admittedly early!) notes that I had one of Mello/Kratos were probably scum (but not both), so I'm most concerned with him. @Mercenary Kratos Titania didn't ping you, so I'm afraid you'll miss this otherwise and I'd really like this answered. I'm most interested in hearing your thoughts about Mello (the before and after too, if the identity-slip changes your opinion). You've seemed a little complacent with regards to the wagons "I'll switch to Endeavor before phase ends", but you've expressed sorta that you would vote Mello (this was a while back, in the post where you said you'd sheep Toshio's case on them), so I thought you scumread them. I just would like an answer about your complacency, because even though the majority of the votes are on Endeavor, it doesn't mean 100% we are lynching them; for example, the Batter is batting (ok, you can shoot me now) for Crowler to get lynched over Endeavor.
  10. My gut tells me Endeavor is scum, but Crowler's last post set off a lot of alarms in my head. My past feelings still triumph, and I would still prefer us to lynch Endeavor, but I am not averse to Crowler's lynch anymore. I'm biased maybe because this is a partial past read, but I still fine lynching Endeavor. I don't particularly see anything alignment indicative about his claim and nothing about his last post has improved my opinion on him (esp. since now he's gunning for his opposing lynch wagon when he wasn't before). With regards to Crowler, I was actually okay with him up until his claim post. I just don't like that the way he claimed. He basically said, "hey, I'm subbing out, but I'm vanilla townie so it's ok if you lynch me" which could be reverse psychology to NOT lynch him because of that. Ironically, I think a post Komaeda makes in favor of town!Crowler actually makes him feel more scum to me. But didn't Crowler already say they are requesting a sub? And now you're oddly reluctant to lynch him. Insert the  emoji. Also you wouldn't lynch a vanilla claim? I'm probably misinterpreting your words, but I feel like you contradicted yourself here. I feel that your thought process is authentic but I'm afraid even my large brain can't follow your hopeful logic process.
  11. Yo. I'll be around for phase end (it's a Saturday, so I'm quite certain). Generally, the phase end times are agreeable to me so I reckon I'll be around for most of them unless otherwise noted. @Kokichi Ouma Okay, fair point. I was just thinking about Endeavor's vote, because Crowler's vote on Beast didn't rub be the wrong way. Endeavor's vote would have struck me as more suspicious if there was actually a Beast wagon (when I was reading through before votals, I thought Beast had one, just like Toshio thought).
  12. I've returned, suckers! I don't know about that, fellow man of the (not holy) white cloth! You saying this made me go back and check the exact time stamps (scroll over the posted ___ ago and you can check), and there was more than an hour between them, so I'm sure Endeavor must have noticed it. I actually think Kokichi's point is a good one; even if it was a ninja (which it's clear to me it's not), Endeavor should have gone back and checked and responded. I don't think he has any excuses here. I feel pretty good about this vote. I guess the only thing that concerns me is that Endeavor chose Beast out of all people to vote on instead of any of the major wagons (Mello/Crowler) at the time of his vote; contrary to Batter, I actually think it's a weird thing for someone in his position to vote for, because I feel like if I were scum in is position I would have tried to build on one of the counter wagons. @Kokichi Ouma Well, what do we have here? Maybe if you were reading my posts you'd know who I think is scum! I guess not everyone can have a large brain, so I'll deign to entertain you... like I've said, I feel pretty good about my Endeavor vote especially in light of his recent (lack of) good content. In terms of other wagons, I've stated that I'm not a fan of a Faye lynch for aforementioned reasons. Between Crowler and Mello, I'd actually lynch Mello over the former because I don't sense scum intent in Crowler's posts (I didn't like how opportunistic Mello came off to me); Crowler's content comes off as more authentic to me. That being said, I haven't forgotten about Kratos (okay, I did until BBM posted votals). It's very suspicious that he's pretty much disappeared after all the heat [votes] on him disappeared. Since we're both voting Endeavor, explain why scum!Endeavor would choose Beast out of all people to vote?
  13. @Kokichi Ouma Okay, he's answered. Let's hear it now, I don't really get the relevancy of this question. @Titania Andersen Hypothetically, what do you think would be the better lynch: Faye orEndeavor, and why? You talk about saying you'd rather lynch someone who doesn't produce any content vs. someone who does, so what's the best case here [yes, I know your vote is o n Crowler, ty BBM for votals, but because Crowler has definitely contributed more than the two, I just want your thoughts on how scummy you think these two potential counterwagons are]. @Omar Little I can't tell if you used ISOs or not, but the problem with ISOs is that you lose a lot of context of my posts esp. wrt Toshio. At the time, my vote on Toshio was to apply pressure on him. I feel that the change felt fluid enough. Toshio put it best when he asked me: "Rick, am I still the scummiest person in the thread?" (paraphrase); Toshio satisfactorily answered me and I moved on to better pursuits subsequently. With regards to Faye/Mello, I actually misremembered things about that (ha, I actually had to reread what actually made the thread b/c I swear I thought I addressed things in the Mello wagon, but it turns out other stuff happened); at the time, I had written out more thoughts on each wagon but it had gotten deleted by SF Editor and I gave up and called it a night (I can quote that exact post for you if you really insist), but you have a fair point that my thoughts over them to not come off as fluid. Also, you talked about the Endeavor wagon seeming weird and sudden to you but you never talked about Endeavor himself. It seems you wouldn't be interested in lynching him based of your post (i.e. the lack of mentioning him), why's that? To me, active lurking + promising that you are reading and will provide content is far scummier than being inactive. I think I'm hitting the hay tonight. We'll meet again tomorrow unless I can't sleep or something.
  14. I also asked you why this question is relevant. Why can't both be mafia? Why can't both be town? etc.
  15. I suppose you two could never understand my genius level intellect. I never said low posting isn't scummy; nonentities can be scummy when they're not contributing. I think it's a bit of an overreaction on day 1 to be going after the person who's posted once, that's all; Faye is someone to look after if they don't return, but I don't find anything wrong in her one post, which is why I think it's ridiculous people want to crucify her for it. I personally find low posting active lurking to be more scummy than actual inactives (this is me giving Faye the benefit of the doubt, because she has not returned since her last post); it's people like coughEndeavorcough, Beast, Omar, etc.-- think low posting nonentities who you know are around, but haven't been actively scumhunting that I worry more about.
  16. Woah woah woah, I'm not a buzzkill---I'm the life of the party! I don't see how you don't find wanting to focus inactives in this situation scummy. I don't like inactives (lurkers imply that they're around and just not posting, a la Endeavor) as much as the next person, but Mello's taking on a "anyone but me" attitude, when he's suggesting alternative lynch possibilities. I don't see why you have such a noncommittal feel on Mello.
  17. I don't think we should go after someone for being inactive; this is a bad look for you because a lot of people (me included) are throwing your name around as a possible lynch. Like the rules state, if someone is inactive for a while, BBM will prod them. If they don't shape up, then they'll either be subbed or modkilled. Faye's literally posted once which is why I would feel wrong about this lynch.
  18. Why does he have to choose one of them as mafia? Why can't they both be town? Or both mafia? I don't see the point of speculating wrt association at this point in time.
  19. Ricky, tikki, tavi, MOFOS! Sad to see the party's died down over night without RICKY RICK! (No, seriously, I was expecting at least 3 pages.) Honestly, Beast has been the 2nd biggest nonentity (1st goes to darling Faye) in the game (I kind of can't remember what stuff he's posted, I think he just said he was busy). I'm kind of with Batter in that I'm willing to wait until the end of the day (this day, not the phase), but he knows that we have our eyes on him. WRT Crowler, I don't think his Beast vote is terrible but honestly I'm a bit biased since I probably would have forgotten Beast was in the game if someone didn't make a big deal about him. @Beast That being said, c'mon dude, if you read the post where I voted Kratos you'd understand why I found him scummy. I can't really tell what your case is / why you're voting him since you say you're not convinced on Toshio's logic but your votes come off as a sheep to me. Why are you voting him if you're not so "convinced"? @The Batter FSR, I thought you linked a later post. Anyways, at that point in time, I didn't like the momentum of the Mello wagon (3 quick consecutive votes); that's why I said I can see how people (such as you) were pushing on him. At that time, he had enough pressure (his 3 votes) to address it himself which he sort of did. More recently, I've been underwhelmed by Mello content (esp. re: his fos on Kratos). I don't think my Kratos opinion has improved much, but Kratos, you are ab-so-lute-ly beeping right that Mello's vote on you is egregious (in the scum sense!) and he should feel bad. I voted you for almost doing what he has just did, and his vote feels like he's just trying to build momentum onto your wagon in order to protect himself. I'll say now that I think Mello's made himself look worse than Kratos wrt to if I had to lock in a wagon, but the day is still young so I actually think my vote is best on another person: ##Unvote ##Vote: Endeavor Honestly all the Beast criticism could easily be direct towards Endeavor as well. I actually think Endeavor is worst of all nonentities because from what I remember, he keeps promising more content/reads/actual scumhunting in the past 2 days but we have yet to see anything.
  20. @Dr. Crowler I don't want to sound dismissive (I for one, respect that you have a Ph.D. in Dueling), but I stand by everything I've said and I don't think I contradicted myself, so dear professor, I think you're just misconstruing my words. I disagree with you, I don't think voting patterns matter in RVS; it's only the reactions that lead into the non RVS situation that do (i.e. Kokichi's reaction testing and subsequent reveal). I never backtracked on my point; I thought Kratos didn't substantiate why they felt the way they did (which they did), so I acknowledged that and I stand by my points. Feel free to ask me if you have an issue with anything I've said post page 3. @Lapis Lazuli Oh, no, I don't think I'd be confident enough to hazard a guess at other people. Batter has had a few choice remarks, and I feel that he's been on the more ruthless side wrt to investigating people. Also you're definitely not the most aggressive in terms of the whole table. I just realized how mean this table is (probably because we're all antiheroes trying to roleplay). That's all for tonight, folks. Good night. Maybe see you in the morning if time allows.
  21. SF just deleted another one of my posts. I think it happens when you click on a notification (which happened because Crowler quoted me). I would recommend everyone to keep a copy of their posts in a word document, because I just lost a lot of what I wrote. Like I am so angry. I cannot even express it in words. Okay. Once more, with force. I suppose I should take a look at Crowler's post before I sleep, but I'm still sad. @Lapis Lazuli The answer is a resounding no. I said in a earlier post (I believe in response to Kokichi) that I think meta goes against the spirit of anonymous games and that while I am generally ass at guessing who people are, I'm pretty sure I know who Titania is. It's not the sole reason why I am feeling she is town, as explained in the entirety of my post. Anyways, I had more written out wrt Faye/Mello but whatever. I reread Komaeda/Batter/Titania's reasonings on the latter, and I find them all to be reasonable (except for maybe Titania's, which is really more sheeping). I don't sit right with the Faye wagon, but that's mostly because she's only had one post so far. I'm fine with what Toshio has provided with me, so ho, on to better exploits: ##Unvote: ##Vote: Mercenary Kratos I actually thought your responses to Toshio's questions were all right up until the last couple. It's this and the Titania post that rub me the wrong way; I feel like you're projecting Batter's distaste with Titania in your voting post, and then this post here I disliked because you start off saying you're neutral about the wagon, and that you would sheep it (saying that just because Nagito's reasoning was good is silly). For ex. I think Komaeda has made good cases on people so far, but I don't agree with all of their cases b/c I follow my own reads first and foremost. I feel like that's a scummy thing to say and you're leaving your options open in case you need to consolidate and get a wagon off yourself and onto someone else who is reasonably scummy to most of the voting members ("anyone but me").
  22. The feeling when SF deletes your masterfully crafted post and you're angry but you don't want to show that, and you have to type the small version of it! @Titania Andersen Not a fan of the list post, babe. Like the only times I like it are when they're the tier list types, town to scum version; it's more coherent and easier to follow. I appreciate your forthrightness in calling out the inactives, but we're still less than 12 hours in the game, so I'm sure everyone will chime in by the time our 3 days is up. I can tell you're feeling frustrated and I can validate that, but I think you're coming off as a little desperate which is why some people scumread you. @Lapis Lazuli I swear I'm reading your posts, but somehow I completely forgot Batter was your main scumread. I don't agree with your reasoning for why you think he's scum because I personally don't think any of the Kokichi votes were strange & I think his behavior comes from partially him RPing and partially him being a cutthroat mafia player who likes things in order, which I don't think is indicative on his alignment. I think that the former can make him come off as a bit inorganic, but that's it so far. @Toshio Ozaki No. When I voted you, you still weren't the scummiest person in the thread, but I wanted more information out of you, which you've happily provided. I've said before that the way I use my vote is probably different from the way most people use their votes. I appreciate that you've answered my questions in a quick and forthright manner, and I suppose the tunnel vision is probably just how you play mafia (a la interrogation style). If you're asking why my vote is still on you it's because I'm still collecting my thoughts with regards to who is scum, and I'll have a more definitive "pushing"/traditional vote later tonight.
  23. @Toshio Ozaki Heyo. I addressed Titania last time, but I'll do it again just for you. They are not obvious!town from any traditional standards, but I just have a gut feeling. It could be a little bit of me playing with my heart instead of my mind, but I'd like to think of it as more of a logical gut. I already stated earlier that I'm pretty sure I know who they are, and because of that, 1) emotionally I empathize with them; not having super strong reads, and getting called out for things that they are being forthright about (admitting honestly that they are trying) + not everyone can and should play a certain way. That would make forum mafia incredibly boring if we were all robotic in play! 2) I'm not willing to delve too far into player identities because this is an anonymous game, and I don't think they're playing according to their scum meta. I'll leave it at they probably would be less forthright and less active if they were scum, imo. On a less emotional side, I think I understand their gameplay/where they're coming from, because we had a similar reaction to Kokichi. I appreciate the forthrightness; when people like, say, Kratos say oh look the vote looks forced, but what looks forced to me is Kratos calling that forced. It's easy to say that (I'm not a big fan of the Mello wagon thus far), but when Titania is completely forward about her scumreads not being strong and someone calling that forced, that's scummy to me. @Lapis Lazuli I can see momentum building on this Faye wagon. I'm not incredibly convinced because I think it's being taken out of context; Faye said she probably could only make one post of the night and it still seemed pretty early from my memory from when she posted. I agree that her post was incredibly hard to read (rping and typos aside) and didn't flow well, but I feel like at this point of the game, it's kind of harsh to judge based on a singular post whereas it's more fruitful to talk to players who can more readily give more. Just my 2 cents.
