Hello! This is my first time playing Fates and I am doing it blind, playing in Hard, using characters as they come, marrying blind if they reach S support naturally, not doing side maps or DLC. As I don't know what skills gets each class I don't do much class change. Well, it seems my first conquest playthrough is a bit bizarre. By chance I saw in a comment that Odin and Selena are mediocre units and that the royals + silas are the best. Interestingly in my blind experience I assumed that Odin + Selena were top tier. Now in chapter 19 of conquest I got: Selena lvl 5 Brave Hero: Hp 38, Str 22, Skill 26, Spd 28, Lck 19, Def 24, MgDef 11. Have not given a single stat booster. What surprised me is that selena tends to have bad skill, I thought that she was a classic swordmaster with high skill, speed and with the plus of having good defence. Thought that the only flaky side was her strength which can be solved with forged steel weapons. Odin lvl 5 Sorcerer: Hp 33, Magic 24, skill 20, Spd 23, luck 20, Def 14, MagDef 18. Pretty decent, better mage than leon Also got a fantastic Effie (lvl 6 great knight) with 27 defence, 28 strength and 20 speed. Instead I got a glass Silas (paladin lvl 3) with 17 defense and mediocre 19 speed A leon (lvl 7 dark knight) that can only chip damage and can't stand too much damage with 23 mag, 16 str, 19 speed, 19 def, 20 MagDef Xander ate 2 speedwings just to not be doubled. But got great defense. So I got lucky with mediocre units but not so much with good units like Silas & Kaze.

I think that it would be difficult to sell 700 k in the wiiu . Maybe they should focus completely in handhelds

Recently I was talking with a Friend about strategy games and how I liked the Fire emblem/ advance wars series, so he told me that I had to play x- com. 5 days ago I began UFO defense and I really like this game; I feel it has a good balance between the battle segments and the base ones. In the battle segments you play in a map, moving units in turns and killing/ capturing ovnis , similar to Fire emblem . In the base segments you manage bases with scientists and engineer researching and manufacturing weapons and armor. You should give it a chance if you can , more so if you find that Fire Emblem is too simple for you, it should be a good challenge in the higher difficulties. ( Personally I like the Fire Emblem franchise more but I have to concede to my friend that x-com requires much more strategy and planning ) ( Low count turns players and those playing for rank,you HAVE to play x-com: UFO defense and terror from the deep, I dare say that it will be quite the challenge ) This video will give you a vision of how is are the games: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Un4Or7fF30M

^ Thanks ! I already resolved my problem, maybe if there is another one I will post it here hahaha. I think there are not may people that use Pascal, it has it's inconveniences. The worst part is the next period I will work with Modula ( friends have told me it is really tedious )

I have trouble completing this chapter with a good score ( mainly because the 3 cavs end up as decoys and experience), so how can I get those 3 to survive and get enough exp? A particular strategy?

For me it would be gratitude towards the world in which you exists, that would allow you to turn your world into a paradise and more or less group other virtues as wisdom and compassion. Other possibility would be respect; do not hurt those who do not hurt you.

This must be one of the best games for the NES! Shigesato Itoi really is a genius. From the heroes to the places, everything was memorable, especially magicant and mt. Itoi. I will try making clay figurines of Ninten and Ana. Who else liked this game a lot ?
