What if in some alternate reality universe that a Fire Emblem is created by a western studio? (Of course this is very unlikely due to Japan and Nintendo being protective of their properties, but ignoring that). I would think that the game would be more cinematic with a greater amount of cut-scenes. The artstyle would be leaning on the realistic side since that is popular among developers. Characters wise I don't know, most studios that I know of don't have much experience writing an ensemble cast. The biggest part gameplay, I feel will be less of a priority to the gameplay. How would you think it will be handled?

XCOM or maybe more RTS-style like the Wargame series or Age Of Empires.

BUt a Wild West Fire Emblem would be funny. nothing but desert maps or how ranged units are OP. Arenas are now just Poker minigames too.

  2. It depends. If it's to add fantasy elements, I would like it if it added from the folklore and mythology from that time frame. An example similar to what I mean the Viking Conquest mod for Mount & Blade Warband.

Accuracy is cool, but not everything can be as polished as Waterloo. So I take it more as Historical Fiction.

  3. Binding Blade is my favorite. It comes off as if it's a tribute to the movie posters made by Drew Struzan, where it feels like the entire game is on the box.

Thracia 776 is similar but comes off as minuscule compared to the Binding Blade box art, but both Path Of Radiance and Echoes come in second place for me.

Another shout out for Awakening for the subtlety with Chrom and Friends moving in one direction, and Lucina going the other.  Giving the viewer the feeling that Lucina is attempting to prevent the result of what is going to happen to Chrom going that direction. A subtle hint of the game's plot.

Gaiden is the weakest in my opinion.

    1. When did you play this game the first time? 2013-ish.
    2. How did you get introduced into this game? Checking out the list of Fire Emblem Games and wanted to try it out.
    3. Do you play it on a rom, or do you even have a physical copy? Rom.
    4. Have you played it before or after FE4? After.
    5. How often have you finished the game yet? Have yet to beat it.
    6. Which three things do you really like in FE5? Capture System, Crusader Scrolls to help fix bad growths, the atmosphere that you really are undermanned and under supplied.
    7. Which three things do you really dislike? Fog Of War, Status Effects are too powerful for a casual like me, Dark Magic is OP.
    8. Would you like to see some unique mechanics like capturing and fatiuge (in main game) returning? Fatigue is a good way to have you use your other units, so yeah.
    9. Would you agree with that statement that FE5 had amazing potential, but didn't exhaust it completly? I think it did well for a side game that released in digitally in 1999.
    10. Would you agree with that statement that FE5 has the best gameplay ideas? Yeah, I can see that.
    11. Would you agree with the statement that FE5 is the most balanced FE game? Yes. You fell like you accomplished something when you beat a chapter in the later parts of the game.
    12. How would you rank the difficulty in this game? The toughest one in the series. Fates Conquest is an appetizer for those interested in trying this out.
    13. Would you recommend someone to play FE5 blind? Try it out to see how you fare at first. Only use guides if you struggle.
    14. Which three advices would you give someone who will play this game the first time? Mounted units are best for capturing. Arena abuse with Crusader Scrolls when possible. Capturing is your main way of getting items.
    15. Who's your favorite character personalitywise? Leaf.
    16. Who's your favorite character gameplaywise? Othin for the Pugi Axe.
    17. Who's usually your MVP in your playthrough(s)? Othin
    18. What's your favorite chapter? Chapter 10: Noel Canyon.
    19. What's your favorite map theme? Leaf Army ~ In Search of the Victory ~ Base and Leaf Army ~ In Search of the Victory ~ Charge A.
    20. What's your favorite battle theme (main battles, boss battles)? Normal Boss Battle theme.
    21. What's your opinion of the art in this game? A lot of the characters in the official artwork have extremely long legs.
    22. What's your opinion of the story in this game? A good story of a struggle and persistence.
    23. How would you rank the story from 1 to 10? 8
    24. How would you rank the gameplay from 1 to 10? 9
    25. How would you rank the game overall from 1 to 10? 8.75
    26. Does FE5 need a remake? After FE4 and FE6.
    27. Does FE5 need a better translation patch? YES!
    28. Could you imagine to replay FE5 sometime in the future? Okay.
  4. The best voice acting in the series in my opinion.
Ian Sinclair as Berkut stole the show pretty much.
Other great performances go to Alexis Tipton with Clair, Christopher Corey Smith for Slayde, Ray Chase for Fernand, Doug Erholtz for Python, Keith Silverstein for Saber, and Bonnie Gordon for Silque.
Weakest performance for me was Joe J Thomas as Deen. He sounded too much like Squidward for me.

  5. Like but others hate: Lot (performs well when I played FE 6), Noish (Good father), Treck (Same as Lot), Serra (I find her funny, but can see how she can be grating) and Hicks (Was unstoppable in my playthrough and I never see him mentioned when talking about FE 5 characters)

Hate but others like: Nyx who can never hit anything for me, Gwendolyn who was inferior to Bors to me, Corrin who is such a doofus, and Boyd for being such a Wimp-Lo.

  6. One time I went shopping at a Retro Game Store, where I was talking to the owner about the game I was going to buy, Berwick Saga. We talked about the tragedy of Shouzou Kaga with the Tear Ring Saga and the lawsuit. He was really excited that someone knew about Genealogy Of The Holy War, and he said to me "The closest thing Nintendo has to Game Of Thrones."

When I got home and opened the case, I found a piece of paper with notes on it. My sister who knows a bit of Japanese, told me it was tips and a guide for Tear Ring Saga. So I went to buy that game too.
