  1. "...Hmm. I..." It paused, looking down to the floor again, "Further discussion above ground..." It seemed to think on that sentence for a moment. Already having its trust shaken, it seemed to assess the ways to interpret that. "No... if they can beat the constructs, I don't want them here. Not with the prisoners running free..." Mumbling to itself, it seemed to come to a conclusion, lifting itself up. "Okay..." Pausing once more, the doll's expression was pensive. "Can I make.... hmm... I think..." Mumbling to itself, it turned towards the recently destroyed construct, looking at its pieces. "Shut down." The machine stopped repairing itself, a quick, continuous beeping before it ceased to move. "Hm... We will talk outside, then. I need to get the rest. And you, fox, if you are not her, then why do your bear such similarity?" The doll was sure there was a quicker way to deal with the shutdowns, but it couldn't quite remember... "...Commands. I should ask a functioning one." Mumbling, it started to make steps... cautiously, as if someone that had never walked before.
  2. Thesephine's eyes said a lot, enough that the construct avoided her gaze. And yet, someone else came to give their two cents, someone who called it a monstrous human, claim enough for the construct to look at this accuser... and be struck with familiarity again. "Tama-!!" As instinct kicked in, metal hands came to its mouth as the words were cut off. The construct collapsed on its knees, eyes fixated on Asami. "You're not supposed... why... why are you here?" Between Miz's attack, Thesephine's doubt, and this individual having some connection to it all. There were too many threats, it seemed to be reconsidering everything, sizing up... itself, and then the destroyed construct, struggling to regenerate itself. "I might...? Haah..." It looked one more time towards Thesephine, that cold, golden gaze fixating onto her. "If I do that, will you prevent these monsters from attacking me?" It turned towards Miz and Xetketh, its meaning clear.
  3. The construct stood in silence before Xetketh's accusation, a clear hint of annoyance in its face, though not much else. "Hmph." It glared at the beholder as it made past, analyzing its power in silence, and trying to piece memories from the little it gave away. "Miz... Miz'Githon? Ah..." Mumbling to itself, the construct once again turned to Thesephine. "Please, do not attempt to kill me. I already said the exit must up." For what it was worth, Xetketh did manage to rattleHecate especially after Thesephine said she was fine taking it out. It seemed to be weighing Thesephine's reaction for it's next decision. "Eh? Ah... g-good job?" Fyl wasn't expecting Ilvira's help... in fact, he didn't remember seeing her at all, and he was pretty good with faces! "Uh... who are you?" "I could say the same... but thanks for the save. Introductions can wait." Taking a hurried bow, Agni left, going for Thesephine's side, the most reliable person he could see... which was a sad description of their current situation. "...Demon King, our group was separated before the explosion... that, aggressive monster, was found sealed. Asami seems to know a bit about this place, too. What have you seen? And... have you seen Marina?" Agni to (22,19) Nearby, Taiyou observed the happenings with a sigh. "Nope, I'm too lost. Too noisy." She only figured one thing so far --that there were more constructs at their tail. "We're not going to have a good time with these coming after us... Haah. There, we're going to need to stay in good form." Taiyou moves 1 down, uses heal on Fyl.
  4. Being allowed to stand up was a good start, making good of Üllr's hunch that the people in Liste would be more agreeable than the knights. "I already told you I don't know anything about that thief of yours." He kept frowning, staring Malavar in the face. "I don't know why you keep insisting I'm involved, but maybe you should let this man know you're here on a *hunch*." Shaking his head, Üllr turned to Micheal, his expression mellowing down a bit. It was good to have someone give more than a rat's ass to him.
  5. "Lufirian?" Truth be told, Üllr wasn't that aware of the intricacies of pegasi and foreign policy. He did have some understanding that Lufiria was a very hard to get place. On the other hand, it seemed he was right on the money that this guy had no idea who the thief was. "Maybe you should check up on those nobles then." It was pointless to keep bickering with this guy when he was grasping at strays (and frustratingly confident of it, too). Instead, they seemed fit to keep Üllr close, to which he could only sigh. "I meant clouded..." He could only wonder what they intended to do, drag him around the place as a prop? A fitting waste of time for a bunch of dunces grasping at nothing. Still, he knew well it wouldn't stop there. Surrounded, he was in a bad position if they decided they were fed up with him, but maybe they'd get preoccupied while in Liste...
  6. "...so you're holding me because you think I know a thief?" Üllr wasn't the best with words, but he wasn't slow, this seemed to be a case of those knights not liking his face and hoped it would get them somewhere. "Being a 'Pegasus Rider' doesn't tell me anything about that person, they could be a human for all I know, and I try not to hang out with those." Truth be told, he didn't know many people at all, let alone Pegasi riders, that was an easy way to cut his patience short. "I heard Liste had more people like me. It's hard to find a place like that, so of course I'd want to go there. That's my reason." Glaring in return, Üllr kept his guard up, fully expecting to be scrutinized until they arrived. Of course, the man had to strike a nerve, claiming Üllr was putting the others in danger. "Grr..." He had to stop himself and take a breath. Realizing the knight was just adding pressure. "I'm not going to make a story up just to please your lazy ass. Go find that thief yourself."
  7. While Üllr had a mind to just keep shouting at the knights, the distress present in the others among the carriage was fairly contagious. Breaking a fight in there would be a mess to him --not that his odds were any better outside, but maybe an escape would prove itself? Being escorted by three of the knights, none too fond of his face by their expressions, Üllr met what he assumed was their leader again, a man ever too quick to sling taunts. Meeting his eyes, the wolf clouded tried to make sense of his words... unfortunately, the man seemed to jump to conclusions beyond what he understood. "I'm not a thief. I don't know who stole what, but you got the wrong person. I've been living on my own." The usual frustrations from being treated with such suspicion were a bit galvanized when he was encircled by humans, Üllr couldn't help raising his guard some --guys like these weren't bound to listen to him.
  8. (Let it be known that I didn't forget where I put my own character) "Gh!" Quick to retaliate, Agni barely caught the construct casting a spell his way. "Damned thing..." Thankfully, he came out of that bout better than his opponent. "Ah, here they come flocking, geez..." Not liking the thought of this, and having done a decent job with Mae, Fyl flapped his wings, preparing his light magic to attack the unwanted construct. "Let's get them before they swarm us..." Speaking up to no one in particular, Fyl struck. Fyl to (29, 17), strike construct 13 with Lightning.
  9. Another familiar voice, the construct closed its eyes, something akin to a sigh escaped it again. "Hm." The anomaly between its hands faded, and the construct turned towards the new voice, opening its eyes in analysis. "...I don't remember their names." Thankfully, it could pick up that this being did not pose a threat... not if the readings were accurate. "Quiet down, and tell me what you know about myself." "Understood, Asami." Giving the fox a nod at the sage advice --they still hadn't confirmed her loyalties after all--, Agni kept his guard up as he followed. Thankfully, there were familiar faces nearby. "Demon King--" And, a lot of yelling, with the multi-eyed monster doing its thing... Thesephine seemed overwhelmed, and Agni didn't wish to add to the talking noise, deciding to scan the room. No sign of Marina... I hope she's safe. Agni to (28,16) "Getting crowded in here..." Sighing, Fyl scanned further past the crumbled passage with concern. Others were hurt in some way, and from what Mae said, more of those dolls were bound to come. "We better stick together, I can hear footsteps as is, so if there's more in upper floors, we want to get out fast." Fyl to (29,19), cast heal on Mae.
  10. "Strong mage, bad temper, was supposed to be locked." The doll turned whence the explosion originated, spotting that red devil, and crossed its arms. "Unreasonable, Annoying." Emotions were easy to pinpoint thanks to this person... at least negative ones. "...It is a tall task. I will suppress them. Stay in cover." Those golden eyes were locked on target from this distance, watching every movement. "There are higher floors?!" Taiyou was almost discouraged at the news, having to take a moment to grip her lance in renewed vigor. "Well, more of them to slog through, we better join with the others, then." Thankfully, now they had plenty of allies in their sights... and, some weirdo that basically ignored them and dashed ahead. "Who in Hess' name is that?" Fyl chimed in, quite guarded. "...Somebody that was stuck here for a long time." A voice spoke from behind them. Agni had been keeping a trail behind Xety to ensure she wouldn't be a problem. "Hasn't attacked us so far, but seems like a bit of a loose cannon. I'll keep an eye on her." "W-well, if you say so..." Fyl was a bit apprehensive, but conceded, readying a spell. 'Let's go ahead, Taiyou, Mae." "Hmm... watch our backs, Fyl." Nodding only once, and then repeating the behavior towards Mae, Tayou led herself further in, where the demon king and Ayane were. "What caused this explosion...?" Agni to (35, 13) Taiyou to (28,19). Fyl awaits for Mae to move first.
  11. "At this point I don't question it, with all the invisibility and stalking." Taiyou gave a glance at Mae in response. "You are worse for wear, though. What happened?" "Ah... s-sorry, everything's happened fast, stay close, then. I'll fix you up next." Fyl mentioned, a bit embarrassed that he overlooked Mae's own wounds in the heat of things. "Goodness, crazy and unhinged." Agni shook his head, walking out of the room in time to see Xetketh's outburst. "Still, that was one hell of a burst, hard to even believe it was magic. What do you have to say about that, Asami?" Agni to (33,4). (33,5 if he can cross the obstacle construct though >.>)
  12. "...Ah." Everything kind of came tumbling down with the blast of magic, dust swallowing up the construct's frame. It didn't need to breathe, though it covered its eyes in a bout of instinct. "This magic... mmmr..." One feeling kept resurfacing in its consciousness. "Annoying... loud... I kept, that brat locked up." "Hng..." It clutched its head, feeling some kind of disturbance --either from that magic, or its struggling memories. "You should go. If she comes, I'll hold her back." That was... easier said than done, with the ceiling height, but the mounting rubble could prove helpful. "How did I fight that..." The construct mumbled, grasping at the air, "So long... how much time... time..." Its mumblings continued, something faint forming between its hands. A spherical distortion, void of color, came to form for but a moment, before silently fading. Whatever it was, it was completely different to the magic Thesephine was familiar with. "Time... time..." Hecate relearns Slow. "Hwaaah?!" Distracted from inspecting the stairs, Taiyou wasn't at all ready for the rumbling that came for her, she couldn't react at all, feeling a push at her, collapsing on the floor, feeling an unbearable heat next to her. "What... was that...?" Gasping for air, Taiyou looked up, to see Mae, tensing a bit on the spot. "Ah... th-thanks. I don't know, what that was about." "Hess, what kind of magic..." Fyl was shook on the core, his sensitivity to magic was getting the better of him. "I-I've never seen a spell like that..." "...I don't see any exits here." Taiyou held her breath, grabbing her lance again. "We need to find what that is, or we'll keep running blindly into corners." "T-that's suicide! Ugh... Mae, be ready to jump again..." Fyl couldn't believe that girl's guts, chasing after her cautiously. "And let me get to your wounds before you do!" Taiyou to (34,14), Fyl to (35,14), cast heal on her.
  13. That was a lot of questions at once, leaving the construct in distress. "...This place should not have been hidden away. I am guessing it was done later." Parts of its fragmented memory were being grasped, but there were too many gaps. "...I made this place. I was locked here." These came quickly, even if the reasons were locked behind a draining mental fog. "...I don't remember why I made this place anymore." The construct grew anxious, a tic seemed to surface, it hugged its own right arm, finger rubbing at its joints. "That's not good. It was importan--" It quickly stopped, turning its head towards the direction to their west. "Something happened." It had sensed a powerful magical aura with the rumbling, one that felt familiar... in a specifically annoying way. "Mnnn... not good." Whatever it was, it brought unease, slowly creeping up those broken memory banks. "Not something. Someone." It closed its eyes, "The prison is collapsing after all..." At least, in some solace, it had outlasted its own prison... but why did that feel important?
  14. Of course things weren't going to turn out well. Üllr, a blue haired (and furred) wolf clouded had taken his chance at traveling with a group like him --cloudeds headed for a stop at an accepting town, so they said. After that, Üllr kind of invited himself into the wagon, figuring that their destination would be a good point to gather some more info about Glacies. This would be a fine plan, if the wagons hadn't been intercepted by this group of knights, flinging nonsensical accusations and suspicions. Üllr sighed, having confined his small build to a corner, between crates. He'd barked defiant words at the knights, having neither the knowledge of the situation nor the will to cooperate with them. Best to not associate the other clouded in the wagons with his presence. "Hah..." It was frustrating, even here he couldn't escape the harm some humans posed, even among clouded. Still, having sized them up, Üllr couldn't help but wonder if he could stand up against a couple of them --enough for the others to run, at least. He neither knew these parts not trusted the other clouded to fend for themselves so far, that could get messy...
  15. "You, fell?" The construct looked with confusion at Thesephine, lost in the meaning of her words. "Hrm... could it be..." It looked stressed, eyes darting around the floor, until a new presence showed itself. It paused, staring at the oni silently. A moment after assessing, and the construct was back to speaking to Thesephine. "Your group fell... the ground gave in. That was when the light came. That means... that means I can leave." It almost seemed to be expressing feeling, enthusiasm. "If the ground gave in, then that's your exit, up." That was easier said than done with the structure of the spire, of course."
  16. "Vaia. Hwein. Hmm..." Hecate, acknowledging Thesephine's and Suki's respones, seemed lost in thought. Her eyes quickly lost focus, tracing down to the floor again... its face made something close to a frown. "No... no idea." Emulating a sigh, it looked back at Thesephine. "Need to remember..." It seemed a bit more comfortable with the situation, attempting to move its legs again. One leg forward, then the other. Struggling to keep balance, it stood up from its seat. "How did, you get here?" Hecate seemed to slowly become more aware, finally acknowledging the surroundings with its eyes.
  17. "Don't recognize..." The construct fell silent, pondering what to do next. "Hmm... Not good. Not good." It sighed, closing its eyes again. "Need to remember. I... had something important." Memories struggled to materialize, at least speech was coming back, it was getting used well enough to those practices. "Hm... what are your names?"
  18. "Yep. I got it, let's make a break for it once I'm done with this room." And... another empty floor. Agni sighed. "Should be quick." Agni moves 4 up, examines that sigil. "Ugh... thanks." With the construct downed, Taiyou could ease her stance... its mention of repairs wasn't inspiring confidence, though. "Apologies for making you worry... already hate this place." Sighing, Taiyou searched around her surroundings, noting some stairs further ahead. "We need to find the others." Taiyou moves 5 to the left. "Name...? Name..." It retreated its hand from the wolf girl, closing its artificial eyes in though once more. It was barely notable, in the poorly lit room, that a light blueish aura emanated from them. Very faint, like a dancing trail of steam. "...Hm." It tilted its head, resting it arms on the throne. Its eyes opened up relatively fast. It seemed to remember something. "I remember... Hecate. Hecate... Hecate..." It muttered the word, eyes dashing, scanning the floor ar nothing in particular. "I used to be called that. That is my name? ...Yes." It seemed to have grasped at some semblance of memory, becoming lightly agitated, but not one to make moves. "Hecate. My name. That feels right." Those artificial eyes blinked. "Hmm..." It took another glance at its artificial limbs. "What happened...? What was I doing...?"
  19. "Whew... see? I got it." Releasing the tension in his stance, Agni turned around to reassure his companions. "Anyways... Let's not linger." Agni lockpicks the door in front of the group. "Oh goodness... please, sit back and take care of those wounds." Seeing the priestess duel the construct was painful for Fyl. Her heart was there... her swings were just, in need of help, or perhaps that thing was just built too sturdy. "Just, leave it to me." Fyl holds, cast lightning at the construct.
  20. "Hah..." Gasping after a bout of adrenaline, agni adjusted his footing, alternating his sights between the monster and Asami. "So you say... still, it's on our way right now, and it still reacts to my daggers. We can keep moving, but I'm not letting this thing corner us if this door is a bad end." Agni keeps striking Construct 6 with his gauche. Its artificial eyes continued to stare at Thesephine, tilting its head. "I..." Much like it avoided the question the first time, it seemed to be struggling to find words. At the mention of it not being human or monster, the construct looked down at its limbs, ball-jointed, much like a doll's, trying to process it. "I don't... remember." It seemed frustated, trying to find words, closing its eyes. "Long, long time..." It was mustering whatever it could from its consciousness, faint concepts and memories swimming in its imagined vision. "Human, monster..." "I know... I am human." After some pause, it spoke up again, then looked back at its limbs. "Hmm. Used to be...?" The other monster, which has taken upon itself to approach, caused a great feeling of alarm. Even with the limited range of expressions, its eyes widened as it stared at Suki, watching her every movement until she sat next to it. "Help..." It took a moment to calm down, but once it seemed confident the wolf girl didn't mean a threat, the construct relaxed. "...Thank you." Sat down, the wolf girl no longer felt threatening. ...it moved its hand slowly, not wanting to scare her, and instinctive impulse came to its memory. It pet her head. "Thank you. Good."
  21. "Who..." The construct blinked, staring at Thesephine as she started asjing questions. Its head tilted to the side, continuing to examine the medusa. Who was it, she asked. The contrust... couldn't find an answer. It was trying? That seemed to be the purpose of its jarring slight head movements, perhaps. It seemed to have an easier time pondering the second question... "Pri... prison." "Try to kill it is. Figures that this place is nothing but trouble." Sighing, Agni readies his tome, chasing after the construct that went after Asami. Agni to (28,4) strikes with Main Gauche against Construct #6. "Ugh!" Taiyou attacks the construct with steel lance if it is still alive, otherwise moves 5 left. (Reminder that fort defense wore off.)
  22. The lifeless humanoid in the throne remained so, though it had a certain oppressive aura that was hard to ignore for those attuned with magic. It much resemblem a red-haired girl, though some of its features were clearly doll-like. One finger lifted of its own accord, completely removed from any other movement in the humanoid construct. Another one followed. Then its eyes moved. It followed the yelp of the wolfkin, then moved back to the medusa. "Ah..." It struggled to speak, as if it had no experience doing so. "Aaaah...." "Who..." "Gah!" Taiyou flinched at the attack, having roughly beared the attack. "Apprehend?! You will do no such thing!" Before she could react, another member struck the construct with light magic. "I knew I couldn't trust you!" Fyl up 1 left 1, cast lightning on Construct #5.
  23. "Detained?!" Taiyou took a guarding stance, gaining indignance at the being's demands. "Tell your master to come here, or just tell us where to leave! We don't want to be here!" "I knew it wasn't going to be worth it." Fyl sighed, his eyes looked around, hoping more of this creature wouldn't show up around the corned. "Sorry, but we can't sit around here." Agni already had an awful vibe of the place, he wouldn't sit down and be detained by who know what demented creature runs this place. After the experience with that multi-eyed monster, he was more than done with whatever this place threw at him. "Let us through."
  24. After going through all that pain of being nearly killed by that unreasonable monster, to examining a rune that... definitely did something, but nothing Agni could tell at a glance, and that annoying alarm, he was already at wit's end. He walked out of the room, squeezing by as he wondered what made the multi-eyed grump stop on her tracks, and getting said question answered immediately as he laid eyes to another bizarre humanoid form. "What is it now...?" He drew a long sigh, walking towards them. Asami seemed puzzled as to what this one was, but at least it was making conversation instead of outright attacking, so Agni walked closer. "You. Tell us where this is. We're travelers on our way to Hwein, with the Demon King in our ranks. If you know a way out, tell us." Agni to (23,4), attempt conversation. "Huh?" Taiyou did not expect the humanoid to talk first, nor did she expected Bridgit to speak up, she looked to Bridgit and gave pause. "Isonokami-no-Taiyou, princess of Sado." She turned to the being, and struck the floor with the base of her lance. "Let us pass." Taiyou waits, identifies. "I-I don't think, this is more than a veiled threat..." Fyl wasn't nearly as confident as the women, landing on the floor and resuming a cautious walk until he stood right behind Taiyou. Fyl to (43,10).
  25. "Ugh!" Finally let go, Agni took a step back, ready to draw his weapon if needed. "Don't know who that is." He turned to Asami, "Are you going to take care of this woman, then? We stil need to find a way out, as it is." He sighed, "I'll do it." There was still one thing of interest... Agni to 22,8, touch the rune.
