I know I can put a ROM on an SD card and then play it on the regular DS, but will the ROM be region locked even doing it this way? Furthermore, can you connect to the internet to get DLC? I'm thinking of doing this with New Mystery of the Emblem.

Ah gotcha. Hope that one gets made soon though, (doesn't seem likely) I really want to at least play FE Awakening before 2013 ._.

Does that mean ROM sites for 3DS's are fake too? Cause there are a few out there.

Okay, I'm not entirely sure what this is. Is it that when you buy a Japanese game cartridge, you can't play it on a US console and vice versa?

Actually there is an emulator for the 3DS, but it has frame rate drops occasionally. And well, I like to see everything. So complete playthroughs (for me,) are essential ^^ but thank you.
