The first time we're 'introduced' to Hinoka she basically fawns all over the avatar telling him how much she's missed him.
But that was with the female Avatar...
-
Like the kind of person who will dote on you with cutesy mannerisms. The maids will almost certainly refer to you as "Master" at some point and Camilla and Hinoka are shown to have a soft and caring side. An interesting difference between Drillz and Sakura is while Drillz appears to be the standard imouto, calling you the cutesy "oniichan", Sakura seems to regard you with polite reverence. Perhaps she'll be the "love and be silent" type.
Okay, that makes more sense.
I can see how Camilla can be the fawning type… but why Hinoka?
… and what do you mean by "love and be silent type…?"
-
I think some of the "cute" pandering is unavoidable because the intention is to make you bond with your siblings. The imoutos are just two characters in the game so I wouldn't be concerned with the game going overboard on the kawaii uguu moe desu factor. Hinoka, Camilla and the maids may be the fawning type, however.
Fire Emblem characters generally don't have surnames so there is no other name to call them by. From what we've seen of the trailers, they will say things to Kamui but never address him directly by name. "Come here!" "Return to us!" "Come at me!" "You traitor!" etc.
what do you mean the fawning type?

I guess I'm glad that this topic has given me some insight into this issue
In any case, we will ALL find out soon enough given his game is coming out quite soon in JP.
I;m sure we'll have lots to discuss after its initial release, right now I'm not sure how to deal with spoilers. Should I just spoil myself or what? xD
I did that for FEA and I didn't feel any regrets...

A common complaint about the social links in P4Golden is that outside the "social links", the story doesn't change, the party members in the game don't comment on the social links. There are lots of calls for Persona 5 to have a dynamic relationship system such that if the Player Character is in romance with a certain character or multiple characters, there is an impact felt in the storyline and other characters will respond accordingly...
So in FEA I think the same complaint can be made, the S ranking isn't real that "meaningful". It didn't impact the story much nor did other characters "comment" on your relationships. In fact, Cordelia still reminisced about Chrom in some event tiles despite her being married (more of a writing resource issue).
So do you think the relationships you build in THIS game will have any additional impact? Will certain story arcs change slightly? Will other characters comment on your relationships?
I actually think that this is impossible simply because there are too many characters to take into account and that this is a FE game… not really a Persona type RPG at all.

Says who? Her? Well, who is she? Nintendo? Intelligent Systems? No? Well...
Point is, nobody has any confirmation on whether or not that's true. There are those among us who think the contrary for valid reasons.
i was probably joking...
there is no way Hinoka cannot achieve S rank with Avatar. The pairings and S ranking and romance is a BIG BIG part of FE now.
-
Hinoka...I think? The red-haired knight from the Hoshido side. She's too cute. Alas, she is related to Kamui (and IS never allows gay pairings anyway...)
see OP?
your dream… may have just been shattered. Hinoka and Avatar cannot achieve S rank.
-
Nope. It's been the norm for Fire Emblem to be translated into French, German, Italian, and Spanish since FE7 was first released.
Wow… FE is definitely very popular in EU
-
Do you know if other FE games contained EU language options? Or is FEA the first FE game to do so?
-
Was FEA the first FE game to have so many other EU languages?
-
Abundance? I've only seen the lobster, Sakura and Hinoka… just 3…?
But I get what you mean, I think romance/marriage will be in this game and people will not be happy that Hinoka cannot be romanced by Avatar,
-
Kukuku.... don't worry, I have. Naoto is lovely as well, along with Fuuka. Hmm... but who is more amazing, Naoto or Hinoka.... well there's only one way to solve this.
A fight to the death for my love!
Or flipping a coin.... aaaand.... Heads. So Hinoka is even lovelier.
Disclaimer:I am not insane.
Its just the hair color. Sakura and Hinoka seem to be sisters, or maybe cousins.
We only know one thing and that is Lobster-san is your big brother. Theres no way that Hinoka isn't related to the Avatar given that hair color.
So no romance possible.
-
THAT IS MY FUTURE WIFE, MAGGO-
Err, sorry about that. That's Hinoka, an incredibly beautiful, graceful, amazing, kind, perfect, etc. girl that has captured my heart. I don't care how, I don't care when, I don't care why, but she will be my waifu.
On a serious note, not much is known about her. People have speculated that she is a childhood friend from when Kamui was young.
Competition, eh? Well how about I introduce you to my friend Thorn.... kukukuku....(Yeah, I'd like to marry her too. High-five!)
No, I refuse to believe it. I refuse. I refuse.
wow! personalities are strong on this board! :)
you should play persona, there's lots of waifus there…? or husbandos for p3p
-
But Lobster-san says he's your brother.
And Hinoka has red hair… Sakura also has red hair…
So...
-
If lobster-san is your brother, wouldn't Naoto with red hair be your sister?
So basically, lobster-san and Naoto-with-red-hair cannot be romanced?
-
I actually agree with OP somewhat
Does anyone feel she's really not like Aversa? I don't know why but Camilla seems to have an innocent side to her as well? Probably its the first image in OP post and the dialogue sprite in the trailer. She seems like a big-sister who sometimes can be a bit aloof and enjoys reading etc.
Just me

I can see how this will lengthen the localization process… by a long shot… for EU that is.
-
maybe its just for the box art only and footwear actually exists
imagine all the second sealing and classes, no doubt there will be footwear...

Edit:
Siliconera confirmed that standard retail versions of the game will only contain 1 path. If you buy Black, you are locked into the Black path. If you buy White you are locked into the White path.
A limited edition of the retail game will contain a cartridge that contains both Black and White in 1 single cartridge along with the third path included.
Digital versions of the game will be similar to the standard retail versions - the path you pick to buy, will be the path you are locked into.
Basically, if you want all paths, you either buy standard retail/digital and buy the other paths as DLC.
Or
You buy the limited edition.

How about not have any cheesy romances at all, exept for aftergame business?
It's not a dating simulator, it's a strategy game.
how likely is this though? marriage and dating elements were so instrumental to FEA's success...
-
If White represents peace and purity - then maybe the characters there will be like the majority in FEA where 1st love leads to romance leads to marriage etc. Idealistic type. The pure waifu type.
Does this mean the Black side will have more maturely written characters that do not have characters who always exhibit pure waifu first love romance type interactions?
Or is this something that cannot be expected?
-
Probably Onee-chan/Nee-sama (In the trailer the Hoshido siter (Sakura I think?) says Nii-sama, not Onii-sama)
Ok but Nii-Sama is still referring to the male avatar isn't it?
Whats the difference between Onii-chan, and Nii-chan? Onii-sama, and Nii-sama?
-
Like cutscenes dialogue will change?
Will you be playing this on an XL or a regular?
in Fire Emblem Fates

… and why? Smaller screen crisper sprites or bigger screens more immersive sprites?
If you're a PAL gamer… there's no telling how much LONGER you have to wait for this to come to EU… months maybe...
