  1. I was thinking a prequel to Awakening starring the Holy King

Shin Ankoku Ryuu to Hikari no Ken (Shadow Dragon) and Shin Monshou no Nazo (New Mystery of the Emblem).

Assuming that the "Holy King" is Marth, then those games are the "prequals" to Awakening... sort of. (Well, Tiki's in them~)

  2. Global temperature drops. -> Polar ice caps become larger. -> Sea levels recede. -> World of Fire Emblem entering an ice age.

    Maybe that makes more sense?

After 2000 years, it's easier for the global climate to change... rather than plate shifting, which can take *much* longer...

But then again, if they did shift, they didn't shift much... so maybe it's possible to happen within 2000 years' time. Dunno, just saying~

Edit: Will I be able to order the bundle? (I don't think I'll be able to go to a store in person...)

Oh, and how well do you think it'll sell? As much as I want the game to be promoted, I still want a copy of the 3DS. o_O I don't want it to sell out before I can even order one. (If I recall correctly, the system sold *really* well in Japan... and *really* quickly, too...)

  3. Still... I'd prefer a physical copy. :(

Haha... It doesn't matter, I guess. I'll just spend the money I save on the cartridge. ^^

Edit: I just saw the picture. Yeah, the that's probably a "pre." No, "pre-." (There's a space there... probably a hyphen.)

    @Hrodulf

    Makes sense.

It'd be cool if they added Japanese as a language, though...

But that would be too much content in one game then... Yeah, probably no happening.

  4. Ouch, if it's pre-installed... Ouch.

I can't transfer my games to the new 3DS without deleting Awakening?!

Unless~ Is there a way to recover the data? Then I can just transfer the data, deleting the game, then re-download it.

Edit: I just read Wheels' edit. Got it. Phew, that's good. I'm still going to get the cartridge, though...

  5. 1. I'm not sure, sadly. I kinda hope not, since I just got a new 3DSXL..

    2. It seems like audio will be English only, which is kind of sad. I was really looking forward to hearing Gin-san's voice.

3-5. When you transfer data between 3ds systems, it does a "system transfer". Everything that is on the system itself (friend codes, application data, etc) is transferred, erasing everything that was on the system before, and deleting it from the old one. So no, you can't pick and choose which data to send. And yes, if you bought a 3DS with Fire Emblem on it (are they really doing that?) and then transferred your old system data, it would delete Fire Emblem. As I understand it, anyway.

    6. If you want to use a different SD card, you have to manually copy your SD card data using a PC. The SD cards are locked to work with only one system, you see, but the system transfer doesn't transfer that data.

It seems kind of confusing at first, but it's not as complicated as it sounds. Nintendo has some pretty good guides, and I'm sure people here would help with technical questions, if they can.

    1. Kinda hope what? That it's pre-installed or not pre-installed?

    2. Hm, really? The Serenes Forest news section says so... as does the link it gave. I hope the choice is there. Then I can tell my Japanese teacher that I played Fire Emblem as homework.

3-5. o_O I hope it's not pre-installed then... I'm going to get the 3DS, but if it's pre-installed... I might have to re-think that. (In which case, I'd get an XL.)

    6. Yeah, I copied my data from one SD card to another... 2 GB was too little. (Not that 4 GB is a big improvement...) But it's all backed-up, so... it doesn't really matter.

    @Deshiva

1 Pre installed? Never seen any option to install a 3ds game. Granted i haven't played many.

    2 no idea

3 aren't save data stored on the game cartridge?

    4 dont know

    5 never done it

    6 -:-

Sorry can't answer most of theese

    1. You haven't heard of the eShop? Or did you mean pre-installed? In which case, there's that Mario Kart 7 bundle that was out... That had the game pre-installed, didn't it? (<- Not entirely sure.)

    3. Not if you downloaded the game from the eShop. The save data's in the SD card if you do that.

2,4,5,6. Very...~ helpful? Eh, it's all right if you can't answer them.

  6. 1. Will the 3DS in the Awakening bundle (which I'll be getting) have the game pre-installed? Or will it come with the cartridge?

    2. Since there's both audios, will there be the Japanese text too? Otherwise, wouldn't the Japanese names conflict with the English text.

    3. When I transfer data between 3DSs, does save data transfer too?

    4. Does that data from the 3DS override the data in the new 3DS? For instance, if I bought the Awakening 3DS and the 3DS had Awakening pre-installed, would it disappear if I transferred data from my purple 3DS? Or would it just compile?

    5. When you transfer data, are you able to selectively pick what you want to send and what you want to keep? Or is at an all or none thing?

    6. Does EVERYTHING from the SD card transfer over (game data, music, pictures, Mii and all)? Or is it just the things from the folder "Nintendo 3DS"?

Edit: I think I should've put this under the "I just want to know one thing!" thread...

    Too late, I guess...

  7. Japan got the Charizard and Pikachu 3DS XLs.

    Europe got the Pikachu one.

    How about North America?!

Pokemon is very popular here, too, so I'm surprised that they didn't release anything. (Unlike for the FE13 one...)

Are they "saving" it for the Mystery Dungeon game? Or for the X and Y versions?

I'm just wondering whether I should wait to buy an XL or not... I don't like the Red and Blue ones...

But dang it, that Pikachu one is so nice!!! Not as nice as the FE13 Cobalt Blue one, but still...!

The Pikachu one probably actually has a chance to be in America. (I gave up on ^that one.)

And if it does come out... I'm gonna want it so much... which, again, is why I'm hesitant on buying an XL.

    What do you guys think?

Edit: Okay, I'm not buying the XL. Not yet, that is. I'll be getting the beautiful FE13 cobalt blue 3DS.

Whoo! Fire Emblem all the way!

  8. Well, as someone who really doesn't care about what he wears as long as it's comfortable, uniforms work well for me. As for rich people, well, I just avoid them for the most part. The only particularly wealthy people I'm friends with also don't make a big deal of their money. They also buy stuff for other people without making it about them having money, so it works. Mostly I hang out with people who, like me, are going because their parents value education over having a retirement fund. Of course, especially with the recession hitting my parents' jobs especially hard, I basically have to get a full ride scholarship to whatever college I end up going to and then make a bunch of money to send to my parents. And the things I enjoy most are music and theatre :/

    Haha... Same here, same here...

I'll be needing a full scholarship... and I have an advantage - by law my family is in the "poverty" level. XD (Only in America and other Western countries will you find a family who's in poverty, but has plenty of clothes to wear, food to eat, and money to buy a widescreen TV, video games, and computers.)

    Education is important, though...

Must be cool to hang out with rich dudes. :)

I've seriously never met a rich person.

    (I enjoy music and science...)

  9. I bought a 3DS last week along with Kid Icarus to maintain me entertained until FE13 arrives, so i might as well wait and get the cartridge too. After all this game is the sole reason i bought the system.

Also Silver Lightning have a good question...i may also have this save problem here..

But i believe you will get 6 saves, because the cartridge stores the saves on itself ( i think ) and the downlaoded version will use the SD card ?

That's what i think but let's an aswer...

EDIT : Also, if i buy both and then the DLCs, will it be playable on both FEs ? I believe so since it's stored in the SD card but who knows.

Yes, you can play the DLCs on both... I think. I asked the same question a week ago or something, and I think the answer was "yes."

And you'll probably get 6 files. I don't see why not. One's the cartridge. One's the download. They're in two different forms. They're separate.

Anyway, yeah, that's what I'll be doing... I'll get the download and the cartridge. (But I won't be giving any files to my siblings! Yay, greedy ol' me! XD)

  10. So... does that make Mark as Lucina's child better than Mark as Chrom's child?

Seems so... (The only reason I don't want to pair MU and Lucina is, 'cause, well, I find it... strange for MU, Chrom's friend and closest ally, to be his, uh, son-in-law.)

  11. I'd pick Y, but... it depends on other stuff too.

Heh, well, I'm glad there's Pikachu again. I didn't like the fact that I couldn't train it in the other games.

Fine, I could, but I had to migrate it from a prev gen game to do that... in which case, I couldn't use the Light Ball.

Hope they put Light Ball in this time... It makes using Pikachu a whole lot easier.

  12. I've thought of becoming a pianist and I'm pretty sure I'd take it seriously in the future but I realized a while back that I just cannot SOLELY do music. Too many things involved and I don't like sticking to one particular thing only so I'd rather have two careers- one in music and one in something else(hopefully involving biology). I'll find a way to manage(I mean I have to I dislike giving up things I like).

You should add me on to your skype if you have one(mine is on my profile I believe). Seem like a cool guy. :)

Whoa, that's exactly how I feel. XD

Well, except for the career part. I'd like to get a major in some science; a minor in music, hopefully... I still haven't decided.

    Edit:

    Maybe I will...

    ...

    ...

    ...

    Wait...

I forgot my password... and my username....

    ...

    ...

    ...

I'll look for it later, then I can add you. :)

  13. The problem with my 13 years is I've been to different teachers with different styles of teaching. Back when I lived in the US(about 9 yrs ago, I live in India now) I had a teacher who taught me some pretty simple but effective pieces( like the titanic) and when I came back I ended up taking grades in Trinity College of Music. And after years of it I got fed up of its style of teaching because it felt very much like how studies feel- you feel limited to something. I had much higher potential than that so I quit. The teacher I've found is one who allows for growth of my potential, so I think I'm gonna stick with him for quite a while.

I-forgot-his-name= Rimsky Korsakov. I think the spelling is correct haha. Also you're better off if you have a teacher guide you while trying those pieces- teachers are great troubleshooters. :3

And yeah "Master of the keys" pretty much comes from that xD

Cool. Fortunately for me, my teachers were always quite serious. (Maybe 'cause they're Asian?)

Anyway, yeah. You seem to be quite dedicated. Ever thought of being a pianist? :)

Me? No, as much as I love playing the piano, I don't want to specialize in the area or anything like that.

I'd love to get a teacher... the thing is... there's no one good enough to teach me where I live...

Still, it doesn't really matter. I'm fairly confident that I can play the song without teachers (aka "troubleshooters").

Besides, if I need something, I just get the music and listen to it. That usually helps. Well, for me, that is.

  14. It may only be the Gold/Silver to Red/Blue i.e. they may only choose to add a small(er) amount of pokemon and recycle some old ones.

Then why Patrat...?! I'd much rather have Rattata... Sentret... or Zigzagoon; but not Bidoof. Please, not Bidoof. I hate Bidoof. :(

Actually~ I take that back. Bidoof is better than than the rest... it makes an excellent HM slave. XD (Although Zigzagoon does that just as well... while looking better.)

    Edit: @RayDavid99

I'll still be able to remember all of their names

    Haha... Same here!

Hm, I wonder if it'll be on the eShop...

Actually, I don't. It's going to be on the eShop. It is Pokemon, after all.

  15. I was watching the trailer, then noticed... there's Pokemon from every single region.

That's good, I guess, but... if they were to add every single Pokemon, then that's over six hundred... PLUS, if they add, say, another 150 Pokemon, then we'll have, like, 800 Pokemon. (That's wa~ay to many, in my opinion.)

  16. o_O

International release?! (Why can't they do that to Fire Emblem...? I'd much prefer that.)

But, yeah, I'm looking forward to this... a lot. It looks nice, if you ask me.

  17. I can't connect my 3DS to the Internet right now, so... I'm asking here.

Does anyone know how much Awakening is going to be?

I'm pretty sure that it's going to be $40, since that's the normal price of almost all of the 3DS games, but I just want to make sure.

Edit: Guess people are too hyped about Pokemon X and Y to answer me. XD Haha... jk.

  18. @Thor Odinson

    Cool.

I don't know enough British English to be able to use it...

I just know a few vocab differences... and spelling differences... most of the spelling differences.

Well, I never learned Chinese, so... can't say much about it.

Actually, I can. I learned Korean and Japanese, so I know a bit about the Chinese characters and stuff... not Chinese itself, though.

  19. That's meaningless outside of context. Could mean more people are dealing, could alternatively mean more are being caught.

Yeah, I guess... I was just throwing random stuff out there.

Really, I have no knowledge whatsoever on this "War on Drugs."

I just googled it, nothing more.

  20. 556px-US_incarceration_rate_timeline.gif

Dunno, but maybe this'll say something, Integrity and Daigoji Excellen.

(I had no idea that there was a "war on drugs" until now... I just know about the war on terrorism...)

Here's a link of a small number of stats... (a small, small number...) It looks really outdated, though...

(I just noticed this...a gram of cocaine costs insane amounts of money... ouch.)

    @Furetchen

I did read it out loud... with my mom. It helped, but it was still hard... I don't like classical English. It's too hard to understand. (I wonder if people will say that about our English several hundred years in the future...)
