  1. You should also play this one - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NMISF47j-lY It also has a demo.
  2. I want some really crazy stuff, like a photo-negative forest, pirate island, or the moon. However, with it's religious adherence to the Sticker Star style shown in the trailer, I am very doubtful. Who wants to sing the anthem? Grass Land - Desert Land - Ocean - Jungle - Ice World - Fire World - Boss!
  3. Here is a full list of changes between TP and TP HD - http://zeldawiki.org/The_Legend_of_Zelda:_Twilight_Princess_HD#Changes_and_Additions These changes sound bad - The heat wave graphic effect in the lava areas in Goron Mines is removed. Link will no longer hit his sword against walls; instead, it simply goes through them, making combat more manageable shallower in close quarters. It makes no sense remove realistic effects and collisions in a game whose entire concept was to be more realistic than the last.
  4. I don't think games age, but rather, we age and start criticizing games that were bad to begin with. I enjoyed Final Fantasy III (DS), but only for it's graphics, music, and story - the gameplay is just a huge grind-fest time-killer.
  5. Do you play Radiant Silvergun? It's like Touhou.
  6. 1. What is your favorite Kirby game and why? 2. What is your favorite Treasure game? 3. If you were chicken, what dish would be made with you? 4. Should Sega localize more Puyo Puyo games?
  7. I'm digging the visual designs of the levels - there's even a casino. Also, at 1:20 there's a sticker that looks like the key chains from Triple Deluxe.
  8. Infinite door opening simulator.
  9. There is also the elusive glow-in-the-dark mage, expert of magicks for making it easier to see in the dark.
  10. OK then, guess I'm NOT getting TP HD! @Anacybele: Why'd you make poll votes private? I wanna see who else voted for Snowpeak Ruins.
  11. Black and white mages use black (offensive) and white (defensive) magicks, respectively. To improve communication, they wear specific styles of robes that designate their roles and make them easier to identify for party members. Here are some examples of common mage uniforms from the country of Ivalice - Black Mage White Mage Time Mage Oracle / Mystic Notice that the mage's robes do not necessarily have to match the color of their title. Originally, the black and white mage were called "Offensively Inclined Practitioner of the Magick Arts" and "Defensively Inclined Practitioner of the Magick Arts", but these titles were deemed too long to be used in battle, and thus were shortened to "Black Mage" and "White Mage". Some groups use other names like "Wizard" and "Priest", or shorten them even further to "Black" and "White". It is always important to know the names and uniforms of the magick users in your party, so learn them well.
  12. Twilight Princess had a large amount of blur or bloom lighting, which was used to cover up any lack of detail. In TPHD, the effect is reduced to show the models more clearly, but this also reduces the game's hazy, dreamlike aesthetic and makes the polygons easier to see, showing more of the game's age. At least, that's what I've heard. In any case, I'm sure the improved textures will make up for it. Also, they added a ton of bloom lighting to Wind Waker HD where there was originally none. It really doesn't mesh well with the otherwise solid blocks of color that were easy on the eyes. Thankfully, they toned it down before release, but I really think there shouldn't be any at all.
  13. I believe increased negativity is from games being criticized for not meeting their full potential, which has been increased with technology improvements. With that being said, you will almost never find negativity for Kirby, because Kirby is simply awesome.
  14. The poll results are in, and I've organized the data (as of 45 voters). [spoiler=Poll Results] Maximum HYPE 1. Star Fox Zero with Mr. Miyamoto (+15) 1. Kirby: Planet Robobot (+15) 1. Mario & Sonic at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games (-12) Mini Mario & Friends amiibo Challenge (-12) Pocket Card Jockey (-19) WINNER: Kirby: Planet Robobot! LOSER: Pocket Card Jockey! Isn't that some interesting data? As I expected, Kirby will save the games industry of 2016, or something.
  15. I never encountered any glitches in any of my playthroughs of Twilight Princess, and I 100%ed it. Don't forget that LttP Link had pink hair.
  16. The old Paper Mario games had interconnected worlds and shortcuts between them, and it was just a bit more immersive that way. Kinda like Super Metroid.
  17. QOTD IV!! 683: Tell us of a game that has aged really well. . . . Pretty much all Nintendo games from the SNES onward. I use my Wii U as an "aged really well" machine for all the classics I missed. If you gave more specific criteria I could probably narrow it down.
  18. The problem with Sticker Star's world map is that it gave the illusion of branching paths, when in actually the game is still pretty linear. If you want to enter world 2 or 3, you need items found late in world 1. Sure, you could technically enter world 3 before fighting Megasparkle Goomba, but when you're literally right next to him, why bother?
  19. I hope Color Splash has a well designed sound test. SPM - "I have to pay coins to hear music? And it's random?" PM:SS - "The track automatically changes after 30 seconds? And it only goes forward? And boss themes aren't included?" Seriously, it's the one thing the PM series never got right.
  20. This is the intro movie... but it was recorded without sound, so GameXplain added their own (unfitting) music.
  21. I think Twilight Princess has some of the best music in the Zelda series. The Hidden Village shootout was fun, and I wonder if it partially inspired Link's Crossbow Training. https://youtu.be/LpfV8qXGalM?t=11m40s (BTW, if you want an full game of this, that's Sin & Punishment 2...) My least favorite dungeon would be the Forest Temple. It's not bad, but it's not special either.
  22. They fixed this in Wind Waker HD. Remember how there were generic chests literally everywhere on the sea? And they would contain various amounts of rupees and trinkets? For WWHD, Nintendo said "Let every chest, without exception, contain a purple rupee." This does make the treasure hunting a bit more rewarding, but it also removes some of the surprise. Oh, but you'd better bet they didn't speed up that unnecessarily epic chest opening animation! You're gonna spend 10 minutes watching Link open chests.
  23. What if there was a bigger puzzle with 5 statues? I bet this could be a game on its own.
