I'm thinking:
Normal/Classic for Nohr
Hard/Classic for Hoshido
Normal/Classic for Revelations
would try Hard for Nohr & Revelations first but since they're allegedly harder than Hoshido, I'll play it safe.

if Skinship is out, I admit I have mixed feelings. on one hand, I'm just kinda lol'ing because I thought this feature was pretty dumb in the first place. but on the other, as a game design student, I feel like the assets are being wasted, especially since the characters look so beautiful in the Skinship feature......

& I also just REALLY want to hear Mamoru Miyano & Yoshimasa Hosoya whispering in my earBUT I DIGRESS.& I'm totally down for that suggested card game lol
all in all, I hope we get an official announcement soon if this junk turns out to be true.

And then here's the thing: if the kids ARE non-canon/not integrated with the main story, then the point of them existing (along with S-supports) is solely to appeal to those who have an unhealthy obsession with "Waifu Emblem".
that's my biggest gripe about this now, honestly. at least on our brighter side they're completely optional (doesn't really change the fact that they're still there though...)

okay, initial rage & bitterness has calmed down slightly so maybe I can actually talk about this reasonably.
I didn't want marriage (& S supports for that matter) to come back -- I really liked the whole 'ambiguous ending' thing they had going on in, say, FE7 & FE8. but if marriage DID ultimately come back, I would be upset, but I could probably live with it. & now that it has been more or less confirmed, I realize I can live with it, despite the fact that, come on, they're only bringing it back because of it's popularity in Awakening...
but children? really? really?? come on. unless IS somehow magically implements children in a way that is super duper awesome incredibly logical (read: not time travel because what, where did that come from?) then okay. fine, do as you please IS. I, as the consumer, will deal with it. we still know next to nothing about the big, main overall plot after all, right?
& no, I'm not just saying this next bit as a "salty elitist pathetic nerd war veteran" but recycling this much... is really going to hurt? maybe it won't in the foreseeable future, because this is what people want right now. but making the next game in the series - as I said - a carbon copy of Awakening is going to hurt down the road. at least that's just a feeling that I have. maybe it won't. maybe FE will turn into the waifu dating sim everyone wants, & I will finally drop this game series for good.
...but seriously. children. you have to admit that if they implement them via time travelling, whether it's one way or the other, FE14 is just a money grab rehash of Awakening lol guess that's good for Nintendo??

I meant Awakening the Flop as in 'Awakening the Flop for me.' should have clarified, sorry. I'm not so stupid & bitter to Awakening to not recognize it was successful lolYou can dislike Awakening. You can be salty. You can dislike children. (In real life as well, yes, you can.)
But saying it was a flop because YOU didn't like it ? Eh, that's not how it works. That game was a sucess - like it or not, but it was.

I'm salty about Harold's name change. just-- what. what is the point. am I missing something.
& I think I'm the only person who wanted Joker to stay as Joker (even though it was obvious his name would get a change)
but ugh. please don't let Joker be gender locked - please let us recruit him later. Felicia gets on my nerves already.

I don't particularly have any idea who would have their named changed, nor whose name do I want to see changed. however, I hope most of the Hoshido names stay the same. it'll preserve the eastern feeling already established. (felt pointless to change Suzukaze to Kaze imo, but I guess it's still eastern so eh)
...but lol okay, now that you pointed it out, Lazward does sound dumb af. a bit hard to say too lol

Birthright for Hoshido sounds cool. but Conquest for Nohr just makes them sound... evil. it's really upsetting me how evil Nintendo is making out Nohr to be lol I suppose not all conquests should be considered negative but...
as for 'Fates' I like the name. I've seen a number of people shaking their heads that it doesn't fit the choice theme or for whatever other reason, but I think it's alright. your fate changes with your choices & isn't a constant. so yeah. I have nothing against it. 'if' is still a nice name too & I'll honestly most likely keep calling it 'if' since that's what it's been for the past 6 months for us.

Perhaps her kidnapping occurred first and Garon retaliated?
I always thought that Kamui was taken first & then Hoshido retaliated & took Aqua. however, maybe that was what my own mind conjured. thinking about it now, I don't recall it ever being stated who was taken first, just that their situations are similar.
but then this poses the question: if Hoshido is so goody-goody, why would they initiate a kidnapping? my distrust for Hoshido strengthens. -
I'm gonna be honest here & say I hate how goody two shoes he was in the Treehouse preview. it's not like I wasn't expecting him to be a nice person, all of our FE heroes have been nice people, but ohmygod. I was watching the stream & was yelling "kill them!!" after he fought Rinka & Suzukaze. but nah. he played the good boy act & refused to do so. oh well, it's just main character nature in video games to be good willed.
aside from that, I seriously am anxious to know what's going on with him & Aqua. & also why he glows purple while screaming out his lungs, ASSUMING that's Kamui, but I mean, I recognize Zakki's screams. & that sure as hell sounded like a Zakki scream.
I'm gonna be honest again & say I seriously hope he ends up losing 110% of his sanity (kind of already confirmed??) & causes mass destruction to everyone around him lmao I'm positive this won't happen the way I'm imagining it, but eh. he's intriguing me more than I thought he would, in any case.
also: Corrin? what a strange name.
LyndisI think I'll change it back to Kamui when I play the game, so his 'new name' isn't that big of an issue for me. -
I wouldn't call her a slut because of her appearance/clothing/personality/whatever because... she isn't a slut as far as we know lol?
but I admit, I'm not a fan of her design. then again I'm not super ecstatic about any of Yusuke's designs;
his art & style is very nice to look at but his actual designs don't sit right with me? (for the record, I don't mean just his FE designs)the main gripe I do have about Camilla however is her boob seat belt hahah but nah, I don't think she is/will be a slut.

lol the listings are so sketchy & vague. at least we have an approximate price? maybe? then again with how sketchy it looks, I won't take it for granted.

I'm personally hesitant to cry out 'spoiler' in regards to Garon & Mikoto joining you. there's no context so I'm not particularily worrying about how spoilery it is too much right now, though I suppose I can see where people are coming from by saying they feel spoiled. (on the other hand, I'm on the side of 'I love spoilers' so lol)
my question is how & why do they join you. if, like others have said, this turns into a Walhart scenario I admit I will be more than slightly salty about it.

36/40 is a great score, but I'll take it as a grain of salt since Awakening got the same score, & Awakening was a flop for me.
I'll wait to judge the game for myself when spoilers are out next week (& when I ultimately play it for myself next year, of course.)

So if Aqua is his daughter then does that mean Kamui was kidnapped as a replacement?
I believe Aqua was kidnapped after Kamui was taken. unless I misunderstood some information along the way.

definitely fighting alongside Nohr first. I'll play both (or rather, all) versions of the game, of course...
but... Hoshido... I'm so suspicious & wary of Hoshido... they sound too perfect to be nice people...
maybe I'm just paranoid for some reason but nah I don't trust 'em. -
kinda feeling weird on the combo of Chrom, Caeda & Cain lol but damn. damn damn damn damn DAMN. this game keeps looking better & better. I think I'm in the vast minority when I say this (I haven't been keeping up with peoples thoughts on this one) but this game looks phenomenal. I understand how it can be off putting for fans of both/either or franchise, but I still think it looks great. I suppose I'm just a sucker for happy bubble gummy pop-like scenery like the ones shown thus far... also Saori Hayami as Caeda ahh ~

I don't particularly have anything against the name Fates. it fits the 'choosing' theme. but... the logo... looks so bad...... I cringed a bit when I saw it lol
I'm surprised they dubbed Aqua's song. perhaps I shouldn't be, but it was still a nice surprise to hear her singing in English. her dubbed voice sounds heavenly as well. not sure how to feel about everyone else, since we only heard one line each from them (over hysterically loud sound effects) but I DO know I don't like Kamui's voice. Zakki's voice is much nicer for him imo.
though I AM kind of bias to the Japanese cast already.Mamoru Miyano, Zakki AND Junichi Suwabe? my favourites all in one place. -
I voted double no, but honestly I could pass for an Avatar, as I am a SUCKER for customization.
the romantic factor of FE is something I definitely want to remain, but not in the way that Awakening implemented it...... basically no waifus & no children unless it actually doesn't involve time travel? because marriage & the romance isn't the point of FE games & it kinda sucked seeing so many people getting into the game for that sole reason. (& yeah yeah Awakening saved the franchise but people were playing the game for the wrong reason, which felt almost as bad as the series being an inch away from ending.)

saw the trailer this morning while at school, screamed internally for a bit, & then rewatched it a couple of times to take it all in. & it looks really nice so far. I'm glad Yusuke is back for the art, as I find his style to be really cool. not much to say about the story because I have no idea who the writer is (even after Googling him lol) but regardless I'm still looking forward to this game. because it's Fire Emblem....................

Don't know if this was said already because I kinda skimmed through the other posts due to a coughing fit & me needing to run upstairs to grab a cough candy but sometimes when I skip battles -- whether the animation is on or off-- when a unit levels up but I pressed B to skip their experience increasing, the Level Up music doesn't play. It honestly freaked me out the first time it happened to me. lol

thank god& I ended up having every Friday off.so I'm in luck; will be playing Fates all day if I manage to wake up early enough to snag a copy at the store
