  1. I gave Steel Sword the 'Steals HP' effect, then gave Lyn both a Steel Sword and a Rune Sword in the Prologue. The Rune Sword functioned entirely normally against the boss. When I restarted and equipped the Steel Sword, the boss tinked Lyn for 'NO DAMAGE', despite having the normal 10 displayed damage. What is even going on here?
  2. Okay, what's the deal with the "Steals HP" effect? I can't get it to work on weapons that aren't Runesword/Nosferatu.

  4. Okay, I know almost nothing that would be helpful for hacking Thracia 776, but I'm officially intrigued enough to try and learn. I assume I'm not lucky enough for there to be a consolidated repository of information on the subject. Where does one begin?
  5. All I'm doing is a rebalance, because FE7 has a lot of little stuff that really aggravates me. Actually expanding and adding new stuff didn't seem worth the trouble, given that the extent of what I'm doing is essentially "a thing to let me tweak Kent and Sain without having to worry about all the enemy Cavaliers". Unless expanding it is easier than I assumed.
  6. 1-- The Nightmare Class Editor Module labels the two empty slots at the end "make a custom class", but I've heard that those are intentionally empty and putting a custom class there causes problems. Can someone confirm this one way or the other for me? 2--On a similar note, can I safely use the Dragon's movement cost data to make a custom movement cost? I don't see any apparent problem, but I also don't pretend to know what sorcery is being used in the cutscene maps. 3--Why does Rath's Con become 7 in the main story? All his other stats carry over.
  7. In FE11, Normal mode is easier than H5. That's not subjective.
  8. Could you elaborate on what is meant by this? What makes it so difficult that it hasn't already been done by some enthusiastic idiot like me?
  9. Can't stop the very first wave (him + 3 cavaliers), unless maybe you block all 4 squares with your units. The rest of the reinforcements will only spawn if the boss is alive on-screen. I like to let him live for one turn, so more Rapiers will spawn for me to steal, then kill him. Can be risky, but a couple extra Rapiers is worth it IMO.
  10. This is one of those chapters Thracia 776 has that's so awesome I played it several times before moving on to the next. When heading directly south, Karin can fly over the mountains and distract Shiva. She usually has to take another merc or two along with Shiva, but with her ludicrous Spd/Lck, she has no problem surviving a turn or two, by which time Fin and Safy will be ready to draw their attention. There's also a convenient chokepoint if you just want to stall until Fin arrives. When going west through the mountains, it's about killing the brigands as fast as humanly possible (asvel, brave sword, etc) so you can stay ahead of Meteor, and/or getting Fin/Shiva to the exit quickly. I actually left the archer and thief alive for quite a while because they don't block the path forward. Dashin needs Karin to rescue him at some point, since he can't even cross the mountains.
