  1. Does anyone know if Pokemon Amie will override the disobedience that comes with a traded pokemon that's leveled above your current badge amount? I've heard rumors that max happiness will allow full obedience regardless of level, but I'm not sure if it's true.
  2. If you're still looking for a Steelix, according to Serebii you can get it from an ingame trade in Cyllage City's Pokemon Center, and you just have to give him a Luvdisc. Should be the purple-haired trainer to the left.
  3. I'm not a Talonflame user, but my friend wants to use Acrobatics on Gale Wings Talonflame with no item rather than have it kill itself with Brave Bird. I know it's not a preferable set to many, but is this still viably competitive-worthy compared to the more common Talonflames? **And maybe worth looking into, Anacybele, if you think the 110 base Acrobatics compared to Brave Bird's 120 base is fine. I also saw another guy stack Bulk-Ups with Leftovers on Gale Wing Talonflame and then Roost away damage, then wreck with Brave Birds, but again, not sure how good this actually is, and how viable it is competitively, as it's fair risky. I think both of these are okay alternatives though for Talonflame to use for Maison? Sorry, I'm not very familiar with Talonflame and I'm not much of a competitive player.
  4. Aw, sorry about that. :C I don't recall it being too bad for me, though that might be because I abused Protean Greninja. I wish you good luck with your Maison battles then! If you have any pairs in which you can abuse wide-attack moves (EQ, Surf), maybe try Doubles? I used to do that with my Heracross/Gyarados pair.
  5. Battle Test is in the Northern section of Lumiose City, and it's the building directly to the left of Lumiose Station. It's pretty easy like the first three times and it acts like Battle Maison in that it offers a single and doubles mode and you can only take in 3/4 Poke's, but with only 5 trainers to go through. It really does amp up in difficulty quickly though; last time I tried it I ended up going against a guy in doubles that had 4 Legendaries, so it isn't a good replacement for Battle Maison.
  6. Have you already went through Battle Test? Doing well in Battle Test gives you like...15 BP or something if you do well if I recall correctly, and it's only 5 trainers. First few run-throughs are fairly easy before it amps up in difficulty. That's how I got my Razor Fang when I started trying for the BP items.
  7. I've gotten three shinies abusing chain fishing (Horsea, Poliwhirl, and Magikarp). But I've been SUPER lucky and gotten them with only 20-30 long chains. I thought to myself, hey, maybe I should push my luck! and started going Masuda method for a shiny Ralts...haha...yeah this is painful. My first real shiny was a Rattata in HG. I say 'real' because prior to having a 3DS I had a Game Boy Color, so I emulated all the GBA games to play 'em; in FireRed I managed a Shiny Growlithe, and hilariously enough on my restart I found a shiny Rattata.
  8. Someone on Smogon said that a Power item will lock in one of the IVs, which makes Destiny Knot choose 4 IVs to pass down. "Power Items locks in one of the inherited IVs. If you ran both a power item and Destiny Knot you would have 1 locked IV and 4 randomly picked IVs from the parents." Source
  9. This doesn't seem like it'll be very fun for you though, with just Kalos Pokemon. I mean, some areas will need a LOT of searching for Kalos-only 'mons, right? I dunno, I feel like at some point it'll get frustrating. Or maybe that's the point, I've no idea. Maybe I'm just too used to seeing ridiculous randomized Nuzlockes and poking fun at my friend for his Wonder Trade Nuzlocke, though.
  10. Hector - Heracross with Guts or Empoleon Lyndis - Sceptile or Leavanny Lyon - Drifblim with Aftermath or Flare Boost Joshua - Honchkrow with Super Luck L'Arachel - Lilligant
  11. Sure thing then! Well I've got some HA Chimchars already, so give me your friend code and send a request when you're ready! My in-game name will be an emoticon face with a star. Is a Bold Squirtle (preferably female but no problem if it isn't) with one EV training item (any) for an HA Chimchar with Fire Punch/Thunder Punch/Fake Out all right with you?
  12. Hmm, will the Squirtle be Bold nature? I don't really need egg moves so much as the nature.
  13. Sooo I was up really late last night just lurking on GTS for Pokebank Pokemon, and I've managed to nab the following: I've...never really used these Pokemon, so I've no idea about preferred natures and egg moves on most of these. But if you'd like one, you're welcome to request and suggest the most preferred nature/egg moves, and I'll see what I can do with the Pokemon I have. So yes, I'm going to be breeding these at request. Not...really so much IVs though, to be honest. I'm also a bit busy with clearing up some box space, so I'm just going to be adding Friend Codes and trading you when I'm done breeding, so please tell me your in-game name! Hatching o-powers would be much appreciated! Breeding might take 'til tomorrow, just a heads up. I'm looking for:
  14. That's fine. I'll be available all afternoon tomorrow, so just message me when you're available.
  15. I'll take the Clefairy, thanks! I'm available for trade now, if you're able to.
