  1. Kinda off-topic but concerning the IC problems they're apparently having, I don't really understand WHY they're having issues. I mean, isn't the 3DS as powerful as the Wii? So why would there be a problem in the first place?

The 3DS has a slower processor that the Wii IIRC. The AIs of the IC partner would probably put a lot of strain on the CPU, and might lead to significant lag.

  2. No Knuckle Joe? I am dissapoint.

He was the 4th Kirby rep to add before Bandanna Dee came along.

BUT HE ISN'T RECENT IS HE. troll.png

Kidding. IDK, I guess he would have been the go-to choice prior to Return to Dream Land. But now we have Bandana Dee, who has 2 minor appearances, one appearance as a semi-major supporting character, and a starring role as a playable character. Not to mention Waddle Dees have been around for a while, and have appeared in a number of games, while Knuckle Joes have only been in Super Star (Ultra),Return to Dream Land, and Super Star Stacker.

  3. Thank you, Randoman! I'm glad someone else is saying Ike is more important and should have priority over Roy. People just want Roy because of his Awakening DLC. Well, if Roy can get in because of that, so can Ike, because he got DLC too, plus a descendant and paralogue named for him. Which also shows yet again how much more important Ike is to FE.

Ike is also still the most recent home console lord, and Sakurai saying that the Wii U version will have mostly home console stages is a good excuse to use Tellius stages and add Ike along with them to the roster.

  4. Smash has always had random elements to the game (stage hazards, items, etc), whether optional or not. It was never meant to be a competitive fighting game (otherwise every stage would be a final destination or battlefield-like clone), so I'm not sure why the developers should prioritize competitiveness over fun. Tripping does create genuinely fun, hilarious, and/or unique scenarios if you don't take the game super competitively, and I'd say that's very worthful.

But what if you find competitive play to be fun? And you don't have to be a competitive player to hate tripping: most casuals I know(myself included) dislike tripping.

  5. I'm not basing it on a pattern.

Yes you are. Don't bullsh*t me. And if you aren't, most people who say that Chrom will replace Ike aren't.

it seems fairly obvious that if FE gets 2 reps, Chrom replaces Ike.

Who's to say we'll be stuck with 2 characters again? I could easily see FE getting 3, and possibly even four.

Roy was planned for Brawl, but so were 6 other characters.

Not sure what this has to do with anything. In fact, I'd say it helps Roys chances, since Sakurai likes ot go back and revisit characters he planned to but couldn't get the chance to implement in previous games.

Ike replaced Roy in the sense of representing recent Fire Emblem games.

So would you also say that Pokemon Trainer replaced Pichu? Saying that Ike replaced Roy implies that Ike was the reason Roy got cut, which likely wasn't the case. There likely just wasn't enough time to work on him.

  6. Yes, but Roy was removed because he was replaced by a newer Lord. I'm expecting the same for Ike

I really hate it when people say crap like this. Roy wasn't replaced at all, in fact both he and Ike were planned to be in the game from the start, but Roy was cut(likely dues to time restraints). If Ike really did replace Roy, there wouldn't be any leftover files for Roy on the disk.

Also, basing your predictions on a two-game "pattern" is a really dumb idea. Remember that Mother, Kirby, and Donkey Kong didn't get any additional playable characters for two games.

I personally think Ike is sticking around. He has a lot more going for him than people give him credits for.
