  1. The ideas and conversation can still be salvaged and applied to FE Switch, as well as future titles. Before the Direct, I doubt any of us expected TWO non-spinoff FE titles to be announced.
  2. I would love a 2nd gen of sorts, I just wouldn't expect it. I was just pitching an easy way to get children in without letting them anywhere near the main plot. But I will lose my voice screaming if we get an actual 2nd gen in an FE game with no time travel and no hyperbolic time chambers.
  3. Personally, I think they've learned their lesson by now, as well as the fact that the supports are some of the most popular aspects of Awakening and Fates. But like I said, my optimism may not be a good thing.
  4. I'm pretty sure we'll get supports. They've got to know by now how important supports are to their fanbase. I am only hopeful for this, and that could very well bite me in the ass. I guess my only hope I'm iffy on is that I hope the newer and/or casual fanbase love this game, and that it opens the door to possibly seeing FE4-6 remakes. I'd be super-bummed if this just flopped, and we're back to self-inserts and mommy/daddy dialogue from time traveling children.
  5. That's kind of how I feel about it too. I want to make a character because its fun, but I want to be told a story, rather than be the story. Pay gold to recruit generic, fully customizable units. That's the newest dumb thing I want that won't happen.
  6. Child characters could just be playable in post-game paralouges, almost like trial maps, but with a little bit of dialogue. They could keep it simple and lighthearted, bandit skirmishes, contests/challenges, ect. Your main party could be playable in these maps, but they take on the role of generic units, if for no other reason than time travel being lazy, stupid, and unnecessary.
  7. No. But a customizable villager in both parties could be okay. But its not necessary, and I'd rather have nothing than have another self-inset take credit for an established character's exploits.
  8. I think this alone invalidates the possibility of these being official. Considering Murdock has an official name in an official translation already.
  9. I would enjoy seeing the old system, mostly because I haven't played Gaiden before, and I'd like for everything unique to Gaiden to remain intact. Wouldn't mind a little bit of tweaks and polish, but for the most part, I want them to stay faithful to the original.
  10. Bring back dismounting. Fliers and Paladins shouldn't just get to dominate indoor and outdoor maps alike. No need to change their weapon levels though, always thought it was goofy that everyone who dismounted could only use swords. Fliers should also be hindered by rain/snow. I would also like a bigger divide between dark and standard mages. A return of elemental separation could also be nice. Light magic can stay dead. Not for any reason other than that it complicates the trinity of magic if we have elemental separation. But it can come back if dark magic is going to get the advantage against anima again. Skills, should be pretty minor in my opinion, and single weapon classes should go back to getting a crit bonus. There should be a single weapon class for every weapon, aside from magic users. I kind of liked the weapon level caps in Fates, but I think it should depend on your origin class. I.e. heroes from fighters have a higher axe cap and heroes from mercs have a higher sword cap. Knives shouldn't be exclusively 1-2 range anymore either. Also wouldn't mind knives being devoid of weapon levels, usable by any class, no weapon triangle properties aside from maybe some specific knives. Just my thoughts anyways. Same as my avatar hopes and opinions, I don't expect much of this to come true. But one can dream.
  11. You start off in military academy/whatever for main Lord's country/territory. Those are your 1-3 tutorial chapters. You drop out to take care of your sickly single-parent/guardian, they die(Living parents? In a JRPG?). Time progresses. You wander, find main Lord in some conflict, you help them out. Main Lord asks for your help as a tactician, Jeigan is skeptical. Now you're part of their adventure, and thus ends your importance to the plot. Maybe dialogue can depend on how good or bad you did the tutorial. From then on, your character is more or less the camera you view the story with. No more confession supports please. Some supports can end in confession, but it shouldn't be the natural progression of every support. Sure, the avatar should be able to support anyone, but not in every playthrough. With the hopefully reduced amount of dialogue from said avatar, it should be reasonable to give us three personalities to choose from, each with different support lists. If we have children again, don't try and work them into the plot. Give them their own small clump of chapters, you could make a reasonable rom hack with the paralouges from Awakening or Fates. It can be lighthearted or serious. Gameplay wise, I think you should be able to choose as many boons as banes, as well as choose between major and minor boons and banes. Keep the avatar out of cutscenes, not soley for plot, but so we can choose skin and wardrobe color without CG immersion being a factor. Post game perks, let us fill an entire army with avatars. I strongly doubt any of this will happen, but it'd make me happy. EDIT: NekoKnight also had some decent ideas, I didn't see the post as I was slowly typing.
  12. If the amiibos are unopened, $15 for Robin since he's back in stores again, probably $20 for Marth, maybe $25 for Ike or Lucina, I think they're still tough to find. Probably subtract $5 if they're opened. That artbook floats around $60ish on ebay, assuming I'm looking at the right book. I'd recommend shooting for $50ish here though. But that's just me. I have no idea about Cipher though. You might want to pm a mod though. Someone with authority on the subject might have something to say before you get a chance, but selling things on the forum is kind of a grey area. You'll probably be fine, but it would probably be appreciated if you pmed someone.
  13. Leane, 7. Don't really have a ton of reasoning, I've always had a tough time rating dancer classes. She flies which is good, activating two units is cool. I don't always have room for dancers, but they're helpful when they get a chance. Nealuchi, 5.5. He can be helpful in part 2, but I'm never gonna use him when its over. Laguz life I guess. Haar, 10. Do I have to explain? Flying tank, ridiculous damage dealer, uses arguably the best weapon type in the game. Brom, 7. I think he's super helpful in part 2, the only thing keeping him from a better score is that he gets outclassed after part 2. But he's still a reasonable unit to bring into endgame if you're attached to him. Nephenee, 6.5. Stats are okay, but she's a little frail, and I don't think Halberdiers are a great class.
  14. I think the game is all but sold. But if I get no response tomorrow, or I'm told they changed their mind, I'll just pm you my email address to pass along to them. Assuming that's not too much to ask of you. I have the social media aptitude of a senior citizen, but I can always be reached by email.
  15. I appreciate that, thank you. The game is currently on hold, but you never know. Before I bumped this, it was on hold for quite some time. So don't hesitate to get yourself next in line just in case. I would definitely prefer the game go to a fan rather than store-credit.
  16. One final bump for this sale topic. Before anyone asks or worries, I did get permission to bump this. New prices added to the first post, please pm me if you're interested.
  17. People bad-mouth Lyn a lot, but Eliwood gets screwed for me a lot. I frequently check growths and averages for my own amusement, and I know he should be decent, but he just hates me I guess. I hate his stat-caps though. That speed growth is so wasted on him, and I've almost never seen him break 24 strength. Hector deserved top-billing, but I guess its another case of Zero/Kain syndrome.

    FE3 in GBA

Is this gonna be FE3 with a twist, or is it going to be as close to original FE3 as possible? Personally I'd prefer a bit of re-imagining, as well as some rebalancing. I'd appreciate some incentive to use a mage other than Merric, or a paladin other than Sirius once in a while. Some personal opinions here, the final chapter sucks, and the four cleric thing just reinforces using specific characters in every playthrough. So a new spin on this chapter would be welcome.
  19. I think Pass is better than Lifetaker, but maybe I underrated Renewal.
  20. Skills considered, Dark Flier the best, Dark Knight or War Priest/Cleric might be the worst. Final class after your character has learned the skills you want, Fliers excluding Griffon Rider are all good, and Sorceror is also pretty good. Aside from Taguel, I think Berserker and Swordmaster are the worst. Berserker has nothing over any other axe-using class aside from a high str cap. Swordmaster actually has worse caps than Assassin, and their special swords aren't really worth it. I am also on board with the other posters saying the Sniper is underrated. Long-bows are actually useful, especially if the Sniper in question has Armsthrift.
