  1. I'm fine not having Ike right now. Or rather, I should say that I'm used to it. I've played enough gacha based games to know that you don't blow through all of your popular characters in the first month. I'm sure less people rolled for the current sibling gacha than they wanted since no western release for FE4 and 5 so they need to go back into a more popular game's set of characters. As for this gacha, I really hope Ninian is green. As I need another good dancer and I don't care for Azura. Rebecca's art looks bad. Hopefully her neutral art looks good. I've been looking forward to her for a while and it would be disappointing if she had bad art all around. Lucius being a staff user would annoy me. We have enough staff users. Give green some love already. Lol Raven gets his entire harem in this gacha.
  2. Well i though it was obvious that Meg wouldn't get an ending as shes quite literally a joke character and has the stats of one. The joke of course is the Brom/Zihark supports. I thought it was pretty obvious that the game was HEAVILY pushing zihark/ilya and zihark/lethe.
  3. In the Japanese version, she says she joined up to meet "all the pretty girls." There's also a LOT of really shallow subtext in the NA version.
  4. I meant when they permanently join in part 4 sorry. Not when they join for about 3-ish chapters in part 1. Their stats in part 1 make the DB look terrible.
  5. Personally, my headcanon for Elincia is Tibarn.
  6. Well, I'm not saying that these parings don't have presence or justification. I'm just saying that those two are my personal possible headcanons for my stated reasons earlier. The ones you mentioned I don't take as headcanon with Ike because to me they are headcanonally with more appropriate choices.
  7. Ehh personally think I thin that each of the ones you listed have better choices than Ike even though there is still a shot at it. Mostly Lethe, Elincia and Marcia just don't work for me because they have like zero interaction between him in RD which kinda makes me think that they just lost interest in him. That and they all have other guys who they support who I think work much better. Lethe has ZIhark and Ranulf Elincia has Geoffrey who she practically gushes over when he shows up at the end of part 2 Marcia has Kieran and Rolf apparently Micaiah is pretty much canon with Sothe and she spent like half the game hating on Ike so I doubt she'd be into him like that.
  8. DAMN STRAIGHT Got a problem? Another headcanon of mine is RebeccaXRaven. They had the cutest interactions between them among all their other supports. However the paired ending didn't happen because IS was all Raven doesn't get to end up with any girl for some reason. Probably because they thought he had to do that badass walking the earth thing.
  9. Okay then well here's my personal headcanons. 1. Ike is Paris' ancestor and he it's said that he left Tellius. However, it's never said who Ike hooks up with. My headcanon is that Ike hooked up with one of the girls, knocked her up, then left town leaving nothing but his sword behind. This way no ships sink except Soren and Ranulf. Some people think that Paris is decended from Mist's line and not Ike's like Anri and Marth. I say why can't it be both? 2. Mist and Mia both have a thing for Ike. They both are really attached to him and seek his attention in both FE9 and 10. One of these two is Paris' ancestor. They both use swords so they could have passed down Ragnell after Ike knocked them up and left the continent. 3. Tibarn teaches Mist to be a pirate. Her A support convo with him is canon to me. And so after Ike leaves and the mercenaries disband, Mist becomes the greatest pirate in the world. That's all I can think of at the moment. Headcanons I have to agree with. 1. Michailis dying. To me he's dead flat out. I played FE3 before 12 and I'm just used to thinking he died. It's better that way too. 2. Roy goes through Ilia and then Sacae. It's kinda impossible to reach Bern from Ilia without going through Sacae. Why couldnt he just do both?
  10. Well I can't really say that I had a lot of problems with these issues. The whole Meg and Fiona thing being terrible didnt bother me as they were pretty obvious to me to be characters created only for FE10 and werent supposed to actually be good. Meg is pretty much the punchline to Zihark/Brom convos from the previous game. Fiona is pretty much just there to show how Daein's military isn't all composed of those jerks from the last game and how they actually have regular soldiers who care about people to make the Bengion guys seem more evil. Her thing about being the daughter of one of the Riders seems really tacked on with nothing else but in name only. Shes the daughter of some guy who we're learning of for the first time, never will hear about again, and has no presence in the the entire series besides a name and occupation. In short, yes they did waste these characters, but I don't think they were ever supposed to be fleshed out well developed characters. They seem to be made for being a punchline and a contrast to the previously believed opinions about Daein and Bengion. I guess they also give more class diversity to the DB but they are the most useless classes they can have. I do agree that they did miss the opportunities to develop Micaiah and Elincia as well as Ike, but they did get plenty of development. I mean the GMs do steal the spotlight in part 3 and onwards, but you have to remember that these are the guys who saved the continent in the previous game. It would be really hard to have them in the plot and NOT steal the spotlight. They most of the fighting in the previous war and defeat Ashnard. Having them not steal the spotlight would kinda be like "Hey these guys are our heroes! But now no one cares about them anymore." I think they could have probably made Part 2 longer and given Elincia's subplot more presence in the main story. But she already does get a considerable amount of development as it is. The same could be said of Micaiah as shes supposed to be the main heroine of the game, but she gets probably more development than Ike. She does experience changes in the story of this game while Ike is just the same from start to finish. About Tormod's crew, Volke and Ena: Tormod's crew does seem like they were just forgotten about. Them showing up with pathetic stats for their joining stage helps cement this. But I don't think it should have taken much effort to just stick them in part 3 in Micaiah's team or the Ike's team. I mean all they had to do was just make a short scene or even a base convo where they join up. But the problem I think of this is that them joining a side would be difficult as they have reasons to not join either side. Can't join with DB because they don't want to work with Izuka and the Laguz won't really be well liked in Daein. And they can't join the Laguz Alliance because they would be fighting against Bengion which is where the Laguz they are trying to protect live. Since they can't join either the bast thing would just be to stick them in after that part got settled. Volke is too OP to join sooner. At least he has a good reason though. Ena can't join sooner due to that whole Goldoans being neutral. Obviously endgame would be the only place where she could have been used. Maybe she could have gotten stuck in part 4 somewhere but at least shes with the group i guess. While Zihark/Illya was adorable, it's obvious he's not over his ex. He's probably a furry too. Boyd/Mist seemed pretty obvious to me. They always are fighting like a typical tsundere couple since the prologue. The only thing I can really think of at the moment that are missed oppertunites are the developments or certain minor characters like I pointed out earlier or relationships between characters who you think would have supports. Some obviously more than others. Most of this can be solved by adding actual support convos in FE10 and more in FE9 between appropriate characters like Ike/Mist and Mia/Any of the GMs. There's probably more I can think that they missed out on the opportunity but that sticks out the most for me.
  11. Only on favorites alone while trying to balance out weapon types. 1.Chrom 2. Mia (Swords) 3. Nephenee (Lances) 4. Jill (Axes) 5. Rebecca (Bow user) 6. Olivia (Dancer) 7. Mist (Staves) 8. Sanaki (Fire Magic) 9. Tailto (Thunder Magic) 10. Tailto!Arthur (Wind Magic) 11. Sophia (Dark Magic) 12. Linoan (Light Magic) 13. Nono (Manakete) Not the most balanced team or efficient.
  12. Well I wish you good luck. If you write a bad paper you reflect poorly on our favorite series. LOL
  13. Ike for all the reasons stated. Stat wise hes the best. Lore wise he's considered the greatest. Considering that everyone is equipped with their ultimate storyline weapons, Eliwood for worst. Roy gets Sword of Seals which is turns mediocre Roy into a useable unit. Durandal on the other hand weighs down Eliwood so much that everyone and their grandmothers can double him at MAX speed.
  14. They haven't exactly been lowering the fetish appeal in the latest game. You still have possible incest with Lucina and Owain for one. You have Nono for lolicons. Not to mention all the fanservice in the DLC. The localization tries to tone down some of it but its not exactly being removed from the original. I'm not really sure what you mean by that. Are you talking about the cutscene at the end of CH. 2? If so then all the GM's get cutscene time as well. Not only those two. Now one thing I consider a missed opportunity is this A support from RD Mist: Hey, King Tibarn! Promise me that you'll survive. Because when this is over, you're gonna teach me to be a pirate. FE10 need more Pirate Mist
  15. I also believe that Mia/Neph supports would be more about their genkiness/shyness. The other idea was really more about them being inexperienced with combat compared to the rest of the company rather than women=weak. As for my opinions on Mist's pairings: ranked on order of how likely it is to happen Boyd- It's canon-ish so no arguing about it. Typical tsundere relationship. Rolf- It seemed like it was building up to something in FE9 but it kinda disappeared in 10. I wouldn't have been surprised if this one did happen as they're always together early in FE9 due to age and inexperience. It's obvious they care about each other (Mist cares about everyone in the group though) and i do think that if the writers pushed it more it could have led into a romantic situation more than with Boyd. Two brothers going after the same girl would be awkward. Ike- Let's face it. This series is infamous for incest. But it's obvious that Mist is very attached to Ike and he is concerned with her (mostly about not letting her fight though). It could just be a normal sibling relationship that's just platonic. However, they're easily the most attached brother-sister pair in the game. And if you bother to get A support in RD shes all "stay with me forever." Soren- I don't even think they even interact on camera once let alone get any more than two lines of dialogue together. They've probably known each other for a while but there's like no interaction between them at all. They could explore this more in my opinion since they probably knew each other before they moved to Crimea. It could develop into the whole being in love with my best friend's sister thing/brother's best friend. They could be cute together but let's face it, both have a way higher chance of being paired with Ike than each other just based on the in game text. P.S. But Rolf does have the STR growth to get super ripped in 10 hours. 75%! It's the highest in the game!
  16. My personal favorite is his what he says in the redesign of fendel tower skit.
  17. Richard is like the best character in the future arc. Best personality an hes a total beast with shooting stars.
  18. I'd actually have to say that Neph does have more story importance than Mia. She gets her own chapter in which shes the Lord(ish) Main character and she lets Elincia know who's responsible for the rebellion. In terms of her badassedness as part of the GMs I'd actually have to say that hers doesn't really stick out more than any of the other characters. She doesn't actually do anything badass in the story line unlike a few of the other characters. Ike beats up BK and god, shinon makes a few incredibly ridiculous shots like cake, Titania leads the group while Greil, shinon and gatrie are doing their thing and has the skills to back it up. Hell pretty much the first few chapters are to show off how badass Greil, Titania, Shinon, and Gatrie are. The only badass thing she does story wise (on camera at least) is kill one guy from behind... while EVERYONE else (who isn't a healer) is shown racking up way higher kills. That's saying she's not though pretty much everyone in the mercs are except Rhys. Even Mist has her moments if you make her fight BK and Ashnard. Gameplay wise though she has the stats to back it up though, at least in FE10 where shes easily one of the most useable chars in game. I actually think Zihark is better in FE9 and has the typical badass Navarre reputation thing. Once again, I digress. If I had to guess, the Mia/Neph support would have been about Neph's shy personality compared to Mia's outgoing one and would have helped her grow out of her shell. Either that or something about proving themselves as girls on the battlefield.
  19. Okay, sure thing! And thanks! I can tell you like tales games just by your screen name. :)
  20. I'll have to admit she's pretty minor overall as well. I think in terms of importance it really goes Lucia>Edward>Stefan>Zihark>Mia though. Mostly because Lucia of all the reasons you said, Edward for helping out in the severely understaffed Dawn Brigade. Stefan seems important as hes like uber strong story wise and has that whole branded due to implied descent of a previous Gallian king, but you can go the entire game without knowing he exists and most people will never see him without a guide. Zihark has backstory but it's really, really vague and it really only serves to once again say racism = bad. Also backstory =/= major character. As for Mia yeah we kinda know she doesnt have really any story importance or stuff like that which is why we're saying that she should have gotten more. It's kinda like we feel they wasted a perfectly good character who had a lot of potential to add to the Greil mercenary dynamic. Mix that with her popularity and of course it's gonna stick out more. Anyways, that's getting away from the main topic. This isn't exactly the place to argue which myrm/SM/TB is better. I think Neph wasn't supposed to be a very complex character. I mean as awesome as she is, she really isn't much more than a country girl who decided/was forced to/whatever to take up arms for her country. She just kinda there to show the state Crimea is in to recruit country girls who barely know how to fight. Also I don't think she was ever really in a position to have a developed backstory or lots of development. Being a country girl doesn't really allow for much development of backstory. She also barely knows anyone and with that shy personality it seems pretty obvious that she wasn't gonna have a load of supports or a huge importance to the plot. At least she gets her own chapter so we can say that she does get some focus and story importance. Speaking of Mia and Neph, apparently they were supposed to have support convos that got cut. Kinda makes me wonder what that would have been about.
  21. I'm only mentioning her and Mist mostly because that was one of the OP's topics in the first post. I could go on as there are a lot of other less popular characters that i think could have gotten fleshed out but I just wanted to stay on the original topic. I'm sure that I could come up with a whole list of wasted development chances if I put the thought into it. Wow totally didn't notice that none of sibling groups have a support in this game. Kinda makes me think they did it on purpose as there's no way they could have just had that slip their minds. Guess Ike/Mist just stuck out more as they're the main characters and FE 6,7, and 8's massive amounts of sibling supports like Eirika/Eph
  22. Maybe that can finally put an end to all the Ike shipping wars I don't think that they would get their own game but probably at best be cameos or whatever. Kinda like FE13's spotpass characters except they actually get some dialogue. Well there is all that cut content that was supposed to be used but never got finished. FE9 had all those unused support convos and FE10 had those A rank support convos. Mia still doesn't seem to have any real convos with the mercenaries in the FE9 convos. Just Marcia and Neph. Mist also doesn't get some with Ike but does have some with Volke, Tormod, and Shinon. Maybe there were supposed to be more than these for those characters that didnt get put in the game. FE10 does have data indicating that Mia was supposed to talk to some of the mercenaries. Looks like Ike, Mist, Rhys, Boyd, and Oscar along with a bunch of other kinda random looking choices. Looks like Mist was supposed to get a support convo with Ike and every other one of the Greil mercs she really gets around. along with a few other people who would make sense for her to talk to.
  23. Thanks! I had to hnnnggnnnhh when i first saw it since it was so adorable.
