    Okay, the voting session is over! As it stands right now, I will be choosing Roy to be the main character for this FE Dark Souls LP!

    I will be recording the first episode of my next FE Dark Souls LP today! Expect it to be up on my YT channel sometime by tomorrow!

As I am relatively new on these forums, I'm not sure if where exactly this kind of LP would fall under, so I am placing it in the category I feel would be most appropriate for this kind of post.     Anyway, onto my topic.

    I have created a full Fire Emblem 7 themed Dark Souls cosplay LP, complete with FE atmosphere music from FE7 and Awakening and more. I wish to share it with everyone who loves both Fire Emblem and Dark Souls just as much as I do, and create a series that I feel has the potential to be quite popular.

    Duck's Idea for a New FE6+7 FE4-style Game

    The basis of the idea is this: The game begins in Lyn's story. It goes on to Eliwood's (Or Hector's if you unlock it). You go through Eliwood's/Hector's story. The difference is, it has the support system of Awakening, with added S supports so characters can get married. The marriages affect the children's growth rates later in the game. After the ending scene, you move on to Sword of Seals. The children's stats are not affected by the parent's level, but they're growth rates are (I.E. Erk!Raigh/Lugh would have ridiculously high magic growths). Once you get done with Zephiel, sidequests appear to recruit the parents, who have the same stats that they had when you left them at the end of Blazing Sword.

    Changes:

    -Marriage system that's not completely OP like in Awakening (Canas/Dorcas can't get S supports, as they are already married. Also, Bartre x Karla is cann, so they only S support with each other).

    -Tactician is a character, you pick his starting class at the beginning of the game, as well as asset/flaw.

    -Recruit surviving parents in the SoS half.

    -Updated graphics, but not exactly the same as Awakening (We don't want Canas in that ridiculous Sorcerer outfit)

    -Voice acting.

    -World map, but no skirmishes.

    -Limited arena use for each character (A character can only get so many level ups in a certain arena).

    -DLC (Available for play after beating Zephiel)

    -Going to also add in Karla to Eliwood's story, so then Fir doesn't seem like she just came in to existence.

    My friend and I were speculating about a remake for FE7, and it escalated to this. What do you guys think?

    Since I have a huge bias/affinity towards Lyn, if the Tactician can have a S support rank with Lyn along with a full blown support romance I would absolutely love this hack (or game, either one would be okay in my book. I would most def pay cold hard cash for this)!

    But of course, I still prefer to have my balance and challenge too, and I didn't specifically like all of Awakening's mechanics.

    Such as the stat bonuses whenever units are paired up. Unless you were playing on Lunatic mode, it really broke the balance of the game IMO. In Awakening, I spent a lot my strategic decision making carefree since my units with pair up bonuses usually would survive through the enemy phase, leaving me to be not as satisfied when I completed the chapter.

    About the world map... would armories and shops be accessible from there? I'm assuming that's why the map would be travelable along with DLC gate.

    and I'm just going to ask that this isn't going to be GBA Hack? If it is, that would be awesome, but I still wouldn't mind if this ended up being a 3DS that Intelligent Systems made somehow.

    Hey there guys, I just started recording a FE7 Hard Mode quickplay, and thought a natural place for more people to actually find my gameplay is Serenes Forest of course. I'm not sure what the preference for LP's on SF are, so i just went ahead and did a video LP because I felt it would be more entertaining to watch than to look.

    Each episode will consist of multiple chapters in one, since I will mostly not be doing any story commentary/voiceover, as there are several of them out there already and I wish for my LP to stand out as much as possible.

    For the rest of my Lyn/Hector Hard Mode LP, I will be streaming it on Twitch. It will be Ironman Mode for the rest of this LP. If any of my lords die, or I fail the mission objective, the LP is over and my HHM will be played through from my save file of the end of Lyn's Story (debatable in a poll vote above).     So as you all may already know, my bad luck came so badly on tonight's stream that I had to restart several times because I lost several key characters... and just wasn't willing to push forward, so I managed to rage reset from the beginning of HHM 10 more times! This was due to mainly Chapters 11 and 13x, because I was either too hasty, or too cocky in my tactics. It was also because i was tired, so I'll make sure that the next HHM stream on Thursday is more appropriate :D

    What this so-called "quickplay" Stream/LP consists of is of the following:

    "I play throughout the whole game with only gameplay, no story.
    Restrictions will be no Arena Abuse, no grinding for supports, no character death rage resets [i will live with my tactical mistakes :(] and LTC as possible within my skill range [and error margin that I set for myself :(.]

    I will give every character a fair chance, as long as they are still efficient enough to be used for LTC.

    Going through Hard Mode Lyn, then Eliwood. Will possibly do Hector Mode as well, depending on how popular this series is (both on Hard mode of course).

    Thinking about using the Japanese ROM of this game in the future instead if it offers more challenge than the English ROMs, I'm not sure yet if they actually do."


    I know I said in my first video that I will be doing Lyn Hard Mode then Eliwood Hard Mode, but I wouldn't mind doing Hector's story instead (on Hard mode of course) if the demand for it is high enough.

    I also don't mind taking any character requests if you all have any specific characters or strategies that you want me to use. I will consider them as long as it doesn't conflict significantly with my guidelines I have already set.

    And of course, anything in this LP is up for debate such as who gets promotions or not, and story narrative if you wish to have it. I don't mind doing story narrative, I just want you guys to enjoy what you see. :D

    I hope you guys enjoy this series at least as much as I am creating it!

    Oh so you mean now instead of Thany/Florina losing half her speed when she ferries Roy/Hector, she actually gains some from Roy's/Hector's pair up bonuses, and we don't actually ever need to drop Roy to seize the throne, just switch the lead unit in the pair? Okay, let's break /another/ game.

    Then you'd have insane stuff like Miledy/Zeiss sibling power later. Among other things. Percival with a defensive boost from Douglas making him even more unstoppable etc.

    I agree with the Pair up mechanics making the game a little too easy. Awakening didn't feel as hard to me as the other ones because of the pair up system, IMO, i feel that should one of the mechanics that should be tweaked slightly to make balancing a little more easier.

    Yes and no.

    The awakening mechanics make it a completely different game. The simple system and limitations make up much of FE7's charm. As cool as pair up and second seals are, I'd rather they didn't return - at the very least, not without a lot of changes.

    I'd totally be up for the support system though, as well as the two generations system. That at least seems to be what you're implying, and that would be awesome.

    I mostly was implying that the support, generations, voiceovers, battle animations and cutscenes should be implimented. IMO, i feel that this would make the games oh so much wonderful! I would have multiple orgasms if i could finally have voiceovers for Lyn :D

    It would be tricky. They'd have to advertise it carefully or people would get pissed at losing the Rekka no ken cast. I also think second seals wouldn't work so well since this would presumably be a linear game (ie: no world map and grinding). Pair up, maybe, but tweaked a bit perhaps. Tbh I'm curious and slightly worried to see how similar to Awakening the next game will be, remake or not. Newbies might be turned off if they go back to a less open style, but it'd be pretty terrible if every future FE was as focused on grinding as Awakening.

    Anyway, part of me wants to see it happen because I'm a fan of Elibe, but another part says it'd probably be too complicated to please new fans and those who played the originals on GBA in a linear fashion. Although it would be awesome to have Serra voice acted. Don't deny it.

    As for Gaiden, I think it had some sort of world map...? So maybe that would be easier to adapt, but who knows, IS might want to stay away from remakes after 11/12 since they didn't do so well.

    On the idea of grinding, I'm not really against it because in Awakening and Sacred Stones, I never really felt so forced to have to grind for exp and supports in order to be able to finish the game on Hard/Difficult with no units lost. Although I'll admit that I do get the urge every now and then >D.

    They should most definitely keep those features of re-classing and the world map, because it adds so much replay value to when you are just wanting to experiment or just absolutely dominate the campaign.
