I hope they remove their silly grab infinites. They could retain combos from a grab due to their nature, I don't mind that.
I'm thinkin' Namco will fix that problem relatively quickly

It has nothing to do with Toon Link being in or not. Remember 75 M in brawl had a DK's grandpa.
Conductor Link is the descendant of Toon Link, he isn't Toon Link.
Visually, they're almost identical though. I do get what you're saying either way

You seem to like retros, you should make this a retro general thread. Since you're probably one of the only people I've met in Smash communities who REALLLLLY likes that genre of character specifically.

Ditto to you good sir/madam, really the only ones who'd know for certain are the developers, so.
Or someone who just looks at the basic plotline, and how Falco doesn't play a part in any major plotpoints, ever. While Krystal at least has Adventures, and her love interest role.

This is how Smashboards runs their character threads, and it works well. So i figured why not just implement it here. (Heck, they have individual character threads)
I think Palutena would be chosen out of all of them, although I prefer Medusa.

Okay, but you CAN NOT equate what was going against crash to any Nintendo characters. Adding Roy would be NOTHING like trying to add Crash to PSBA

Well, Falco moved some plot in Starfox Command. But that doesn't matter since Command is more than likely not canon to anything. Also, I still don't understand the Krystal hate.
It all stems from either: Hating furries, or blaming her for SF not being as good as 64. That's where it mostly comes from. The first one is irrelevant to Smash, and the second one is misplaced anger.

Newtwo and Fairypuff would be enough 6th Gen for me.
Would rather have a 3rd or 5th Generation Newcomer.
I also don't care much for Pokemon Trainer, outside of Charizard.

I don't think his pokers would keep him out of Smash. And, I think all of Genesects different blasts would be awesome.
I really enjoy too many of the Pokemon choices. Don't even get me started on Gardevior and Deoxys (Although I think there time is up, mostly because Fire Emblem and Pokemon characters seem to be chosen/monitored by their respective 2nd Party Developers)

I really doubt Roy would come back after being absent from Brawl without having anything else to promote him, like a FE6 remake. Similar case for Lyn,
I don't think everything is based on recent games. Yeah, it can help, but Roy's flatly more popular than any other FE choice right now, and, he was planned for Brawl. Just because a character is recent doesn't mean it's the most likely addition.

Arena Ferox in the trailer really does suggest an Awakening rep. I doubt they'd have that and then not include Chrom or Lucina (or a masked Marth costume?).
My main issue with this theory is that it just doesn't really mean anything. We have a Spirit Tracks stage, an Ocarina of Time 3D stage, and a Skyward Sword stage. That doesn't mean we'll get newcomers from each of those games though. I do think Awakening will get a rep, but I wouldn't say that seeing that level does much for them. Plus they still have Roy to compete with, who is significantly more popular than every other FE newcomer in the Smash community. Heck, Lyn is more popular than Lucina.

Would you mind it X & Y were repped by Newtwo? I think that's our most likely situation. Sakurai was quoted at the Pokemon X & Y roundtable that "He's thinking about" the inclusion of Mewtwo. I think he'll be included.
As a major Zoroark fan, I can only hope she is included. I think her illusion ability is something that could really bring a nice flavor to Smash.
I personally never minded cuts. They happen, and it's usually not that many characters. Especially with the Pokemon series, cuts almost seem unavoidable.

I don't really have much of an opinion on most FE characters, outside of moveset potential. I do think if Robin got in, he would be male. I wouldn't mind if he was included. Personally I wouldn't mind if any FE characters were included.

Pokemon is a masssssiiiiiiiiiveeeeee franchise. It really does have the most possible contenders out of any franchise, only being rivaled by Fire Emblem. So, this thread is where you can come and discuss all those characters.
Veterans: Pikachu, Jigglypuff, Pokemon Trainer Kanto, Lucario
Cut Veterans: Mewtwo, Pichu
Potential Newcomers: Zoroark, New Pokemon Trainer, Genesect, Newtwo (If you consider this seperate from Mewtwo), Meowth, ect.
The list goes on. So come, discuss!

Well you'd be wrong considering Falco literally has never propelled the story of a Star Fox game, while Krystal has twice. Not that it matters because if Falco can get in, Krystal definitely can.

Okay, I went to search for the articles, and it says that this problem is only present for the 3DS version.
So I wouldn't rule this out, since that means that it's not a problem right now for the Wii U version.
True, but the roster is going to be the same on each game. So they'd have to fix the mechanic in order for it to work. Which I'm sure they will.

I've never played awakening, but I've read up on Tharja, and read most of her quotes. She's cool in my books.
At this point, I think Chrom has better chances than Roy, frankly.

I don't see Falco leaving, and I don't really see Wolf leaving either, although I think it's possible. Krystal's chances really hinge on her own merits, not so much the number of character represented by her franchise. If her own merits interest Sakurai, she'll be added.

The most important factors are popularity, and moveset potential. That's really all of Sakurai's criteria when picking characters. I'm not even kidding you. Oh, and they need to be Video Game originated, and have been on a Nintendo platform.
