    Zelda Character Discussion Thread

    The only difference between Skul Kid and Ghirahim is that Ghirahim is more current. They both have a good amount of followers. I think if we do get another LoZ character it's going to be: Ghirahim, Tingle, or Toon Zelda.

    Ghirahim because he's practically made for Smash. Tingle, because he arguably is the fourth most prominent LoZ character, and Toon Zelda because she was almost in Brawl. I don't think Toon Zelda will be in if Toon Link gets cut though

    I remember that originally Dixie was gonna appear in Brawl pairing up with Diddy, going the Ice Climbers route. Since there was that article mentioning how one current problem was implementing characters of the same nature as the Ice Climbers, I wouldn't be surprised if this Diddy&Dixie tag team does happen for this next game... at least it may sound plausible.

    I was thinking this as well, but I figure if they're having trouble with AI for duo characters like IC's and Olimar, I'm thinking she'll be solo. Which is fine, she's definitely a strong enough character to be a standalone.

    After the reveal trailer, I feel like all of what I thought about character additions was thrown out the window. I used to think Mario wasn't going to get another character, but now? Who knows. I like the idea of Junior the most. Toad and Paper Mario are alright, and I'm not a fan of Waluigi. I don't think Yoshi is getting another character, and same goes for Wario. Although I think Mona, Ashley, Syrup, and Kamek would all be really cool additions. Probably more interesting than any Mario newcomer. Lastly, one of the few characters I'm confident in is Dixie Kong. I can see K Rool being added as well, but Dixie is my choice first and foremost.

    Ideally for me, we'd get: Junior, Dixie, King K. Rool and maybe Mona.

    If anyone wants to start a franchise discussion feel free to. I just thought I'd start up the FE one, because this site obviously needs it, and then my most wanted newcomer hails from none other than Star Fox.

    Who's returning: Fox, Falco, Wolf (probably)

    I don't doubt for a second Fox and Falco will return. I'm hoping they'll be further differentiated. Wolf is a different story, however. I don't think it's likely that he will be cut, but it's possible. If he makes it back, I think he too will both be further differentiated from Fox.

    Who's making it in? Krystal (possibly)

    As much as I want her, it's really 50/50. She's got the credentials. She's popular, she's got moveset potential, and that's all a character really needs for candidacy. It's just weather or not Sakurai picks her, and I'm hoping he does. The only other legitimate choice I see besides Krystal would be Slippy.

    Lyn I think will stay as an assist. I agree with the fact that I can't really see them cutting Ike, and I think Arena Ferox being in the trailer at least hints at Chrom mayhaps?

    I thought the same thing at first, but then I realized, it's just a stage, it doesn't really mean anything more than that.

    What are your thoughts on the only constant FE character: Anna

    She has a decent fanbase over at SWF, and she comes in fifth place for FE newcomer, behind Lyn. (Albeit FAR behind Lyn)

    AND REMEMBER, SAKURAI USUALLY DOESN'T PICK THE FE CHARACTERS. Intellegent Systes suggested Roy and Ike. Rumor has it he was going to add Leaf as the Marth clone, prior to going to IS to as for suggestions.

    Okay, so I'm sincerely suprised at the lack of Character and Series threads here, ESPECIALLY a FE character discussion thread.

    This is a general FE character discussion thread. Come and discuss Ike, and Marth, as well as Roy and any other potential newcomers.

    To start things off, I'll give my little two cents.

    Who's staying: Marth, Ike

    I really don't see either of them being cut, despite the pretty much guarantee that SOME characters will not return. Ike doesn't really seem like the type to cut. I have no real reasons to back up him not being cut other than gut instinct, though. I just don't see TOO MANY cuts, and the characters I see being cut aren't him.

    Who's being included?

    I don't know. I think the current pool would be between Roy, Chrom, Lucina, and Lyn though. Not only are they the most popular choices, but they all have a bit extra going for them besides that. Roy was in Melee, which, is a big deal in itself. Chrom and Lucina are from the most current FE game, which PROBABLY DOES mean something considering Intellegent Systems seems to suggest characters to Sakurai. And Lyn was an AT, which is something.

    Who I would LIKE: Eirkia & Ephraim Duo, Tharja, Caeda

    I like Eirika and Ephraim a lot, they're from the only FE game I've played. Tharja has a lot of charm, and I like her design and moveset potential. Caeda got dem Lances, and she's Marth's lady. I've always had a thing for her, iunno why.

    Now, let's discuss :)
